Hey Everyone, just looking for some feedback.

I have a Springfield Saint Victor 16" chambered in 5.56 and with all the noise around the NFA I'm looking to add a shorter barrel, something around 10-11" with an eye to suppressing it later.

Theoretically, I could simply grab a complete upper from PSA and stick it on my lower receiver, no? Or would I be better served just getting a whole new gun? I'm more concerned with it being affordable to be honest but obviously I want to make sure everything is compatible

I'm more familiar with pistols than my rifle so please excuse me if this was a dumb question. Thanks!

Note: I'd rather not get something in .300 blackout as I'm trying to be narrow on my ammo ecosystem and keep it to 9mm and 5.56

I have a .30 carbine M1 that was converted to some smaller wildcat cartridge in the 60s that I inherited from my grandfather. I'm not exactly sure what cartridge it is now, but it's useless to me as is.

Has anyone restored one of these back to stock spec? I'm at work now but I can get pics of it later if anything is needed. The action seems to be stock. The barrel is measuring around .25 cal.

I was cleaning up the collection and reorganizing the other day and figured I would get some 30mmx11mm dovetail mid height rings to spruce up my late grandfather's old 1953-4 Mossberg 340k .22lr it was his first rifle, and the first one I ever shot. Traded out the 4x32 Barska rimfire scope for a Monstrum 1-6×24 I had from an old airsoft build. And yes, despite the slight overlap of the rear mount over the rear of the chamber breech, it cycles flawlessly. Running cheap ammo, it's about 1.5moa, but with match SK and Eley, it's around .85-.90 from bench with bags. Just thought it'd be fun to share. Also, if anyone has a hookup on these magazines that aren't $50-70, please let me know, I can find 'em, but god they're expensive.

Almost forgot how much fun PCCs are to shoot. 25 yards, couple of different stances. Next up is taking it outside to get it out to 50 and 100. Hopefully by then I'll have it SBR'ed so I can legally swap the handstop for a very and replace the stab with a real stock. Also, to anybody that's read this far, what do you recommend for a reliable but affordable WML?

the fixed firing pin was a filed down weld dot, and that broke because I had to baby that weld. other than that, it went well. I cut out a new spring spacer/buffer from a thick rubber mat, it worked nicely. the firing pin should be an easy fix.

I made this a while back, but I hadn't got the chance to test it till recently. it's all completely legal and safe. everything used is scrap, including the barrel. the barrel is the only piece intended to be part of a gun, I found it on a shelf of scrap metal. no idea what it's from, it's incredibly thick. this was the first and only take. the gun is intact, as am I.
