Did I do something wrong

I was put with my mother to get a tatto at a tatto shop 30 minutes away i left wirk early so she could drive me the drive itself was fine but when I got there the place was closed up because I forgot to tell the tatto lady I was coming at that specific time so my mom started shouting at me about my mistake and h9w she had told je what yo say and so on and asked Mr to buy her a drink which I refused and then she got angry over that and had a bug argument to the point I was so angry I wouldn't go home with her so I had to take a taxi home myself which was quite aggravating

you messed up pretty bad but your mom reaction was over the top. shouting and making you take a taxi home is too much for a simple mistake. she coulda just been annoyed and left it at that instead of turning it into a huge fight

She was screaming at me shouting her head off like I had just set someone on fire all for making a very simple mistake

Did you pay her for gas?

She didn't need a refill the car was already filled up before we took the journey

Yes, you're completely wrong.

Forgetting to confirm the appointment is a small mistake. Shouting at you for it isn't okay, and neither is getting angry because you wouldn't buy her a drink. I don't think you're wrong. The taxi though, that was your own choice.

Well I couldn't go home with her in that state it would have just lead to further arguing

Fair. A choice you had to make is still a choice.

Yeah I know it's my choice and to me it's the best choice I could have made

So it's fine then! You listened to your own feelings and decided to take action by travelling home separately. Most people would be scared to stand up for themselves, especially when someone is angry at them over a mistake they made. But it's just a mistake. Nobody died. There's no need to shout about it.

People who shout cant bring the message across with words alone... thats all

Yeah I've stood up to my mother before abd me and her don't exactly have the best relationship I honestly wish I didn't have to stand up to her so much

Same with me and my dad. It hurts. But if you dont stand up for yourself. Who will? Not her apparently
