What do we think

I have had a taco salad for dinner a few times now this week, using ingredients from Aldi. Such an easy meal. Just don't make a huge batch to refrigerate with everything mixed together...I did this without thinking and it was soggy and sad the next day. Just make what you can eat in one sitting! Obviously omit anything you don't like/modify to your liking!
Ingredients:
-Bagged shredded lettuce
-Southwestern grilled chicken strips (fully cooked, find them near the deli meat)
-Pico or fresh salsa
-Plain non-fat Greek yogurt
-Avocado or guacamole
-Burman's spicy garlic hot sauce (they apparently don't sell taco sauce, so this seemed like the next best thing)
-Shredded cheese
-Tortilla chips (crush on top!)
You could also do ground beef, turkey, or chicken with taco seasoning for the protein. Or if you're vegetarian, the plant based taco filling in a pouch that Aldi sells (located in the pasta aisle at my store) is actually decent!

I was traveling last weekend and stopped at Aldi in Greenville and they had Willamette Valley Pinot noir - it was sooo good! My 2 closest Aldi’s do not sell beer/wine and when I google it, I only get the “depends on state/municipality” results. Anyone know which stores, if any, in DFW sell wine?

I signed up to contribute a crockpot of pulled pork for a potluck. Would appreciate recommendations for (or against) either of these options.

Ok is it just me or my recent loaf or did the sourdough round (boule) recipe change ? My recent purchase last week is really really similar to plain white bread! It does not even smell like sourdough.

Has anybody seen the meatless meatballs around recently, or know if they’re coming back? I always kept some in the freezer and they were a favorite.
It's really good. I've got (dry) red beans... I've got rice...! Let me know how to get all the flavor right! Thank you 😊

Simply Nature Ground Beef. Am I missing something? Lol
Edit* guys I’m aware of what it’s trying to convey. I just thought it was funny how it’s worded in a way that directly contradicts itself.

For the most part, we have found Summit products to taste pretty good!
However, we found the flavor profile of both these to have an offputting chemical flavor and an unpleasantly bitter aftertaste. I double checked the ingredients (as, in the store, I admittedly stopped looking for sweeteners at cane sugar) and then learned it was also sweetened with sucralose. I know sucralose is not supposed to have an aftertaste, but I can only assume that's where this bitterness is coming from as nothing else on there should produce this aftertaste. Idk, maybe I'm just sensitive to it.
Both drinks are primarily sweetened with cane sugar, which begs the question why even put sucralose in them? I'm guessing to save money on real sugar? 🤷♂️
In any case, I'm definitely going to be making use of the twice as nice return policy on these, and be very grateful that Aldi provides this option as it lets me try out new things like this without worry of wasting my money.

Long time lurker, first time poster. Not sure if anyone else has posted this, but I found it today on my trip and had to share

I was only able to eat two of these oranges because all the rest of them molded within 2 to 3 days of buying them. Has anybody else experienced this? these are my favorite oranges(i have ARFID) so it’s pretty disappointing

The only olives I can stand are kalamatas, and I suspect that's what is in this tapenade, based on the color (the ingredient label just says black olives). But it doesn't taste sharp and briny like kalamatas usually do. It's very mild but VERY savory. It was excellent on crackers with my grazing board last night. I'll be buying a few more jars!

$40! Somehow the cashier did not ring me up for the dog dogs but I think they are $4.99 each but may have been on clearance.
Been wanting some outside halloween decorations but did not want to spend a ton. I might even leave them inside after and do a photo shoot with my pets.
The paint kits are super cute and thinking of doing a craft night.
I buy this bag every year for 20$ was shocked to see it on sale mid October for $5. They had other options as well (I’m in DFW area)

I noticed the other day at my local Aldi I could not find a scale. Does yours have one? Should this be required at any grocery store?

Is it worth the $1 savings?

My Aldi just opened!
I got there around 8am, they did a ribbon cutting at 8:30 and sent everyone in.
I don’t mind waiting in a big line with other Aldi enthusiasts.
Funny older couple right behind me got a $50 gift card!
