This sub heals a little piece of me daily, tbh. I had 0 idea some of the stuff I’ve been hardest on myself for 39 years, other people are just rawdogging as well.

Honestly the one thing that helped me the most was just the realization/diagnoses of ADHD. I've been rawdogging it my whole life and never knew.

Absolutely!! It changed the story I told myself about myself, which is incredibly powerful.

Replaced it with the "nothing is ever my fault" story lol

No, my actions (including my failures!) are still 100% my responsibility. However, I can be accountable without my inner voice constantly berating me for being lazy, disorganized, spacey, irresponsible, etc. Plus, learning more about how my brain works has helped me get very specific in identifying my weaknesses and developing better systems to deal with them.
