I don’t miss the anxiety but damn I do miss the productivity

For me the productivity, unmedicated, is sporadic. Even in a stressful environment, once the novelty goes I lose my momentum

I would caution anyone who sticks with or pushes through high anxiety, ESPECIALLY if you are in a toxic work environment.

I got CPTSD from my last job as a result.

Couldn't afford to lose insurance.  Couldn't afford not to work. Thought my fiancee at the time would leave me if I didnt work.

That next level anxiety caused from the toxic environment broke me. I was foolish to think "I got this" based on my 30 plus years of experience being productive via anxiety and stress.

I was the same when I was unmedicated. I'd get bouts of extreme motivation to get things done that could last from an hour to a few days.

Now that I'm medicated I can remain on task and have similar levels of productivity daily. My biggest break through once I was medicated though was keeping myself organized. I make task lists and spreadsheets for everything.

Going from frantic panic-fueled sprints to just peacefully watching a deadline sail right past you is such a bizarre feeling.
