Following the end of the hundred year war, the Fire Nation has taken extreme measures to make reparations with the other nations. They've even banned all forms of bending, much to their own citizens' dismay.

Katara accepts a scholarship from Caldera University’s doctoral program as part of their attempt to bring more foreigners to the Fire Nation. She just wants to finish her PhD in peace. She takes up a position as a TA for Zuko Rokura to earn some extra money for herself, but something about him is...off.

When she starts getting harrassed on and off campus, he takes notice.

When he starts showing up to class in states of disarray or not at all, she's forced to investigate.

Hello! I need your help because I’m starting to think I’m going insane. Sometime over the summer (August/ September), I read this WIP on AO3, and now I cannot find it for the life of me.

What I remember from the plot is that Katara was captured during one of the Fire Nation raids on the Southern Water Tribe before the events of the series and taken to the palace, where she ended up working as a servant/slave and training as a healer. The Fire Nation had developed these metal pins that were implanted(more like painfully hammered) into benders chi pathways, allowing firebenders to turn someone’s bending on and off. At some point, Zuko (who either hadn’t been banished at all or had already returned from his banishment, can’t remember which) was poisoned and Katara was assigned as his personal healer, giving her more rank among the palace staff/slaves. They had to meet for daily healing sessions and eventually I think they even started sparring together. Naturally, palace intrigue and slow burn ensued. Also Ozai had two mistresses, one befriended Katara the other one was more on the evil snake side. Another smaller plot point was that Kataras friend/fellow enslaved palace staffer got herself pregnant and Katara was trying to use her higher rank to get her out of the palace before it was discovered.

I’ve tried looking for it, but no luck so far… Does this ring a bell for anyone?

I would be forever indebted to anyone who can help me find it or knows more about it!!

Hey y’all, long story short I’ve been searching for YEARS for this one specific zutara edit/amv, it was a compilation slide show of fanart and shots from the show to the song Antidote for Irony by So They Say. It was on YouTube, I watched it around 2010-2013, so I’m assuming it came out around that time as well (video might have been posted 2009??). I have looked through YouTube and Internet Archive to no avail. At this point I’m starting to believe I made it up ;-; BUT I KNOW ITS OUT THERE SOMEWHERE!!! If anyone else knows/remembers that video or if anyone has it please please PLEASE share it, it was such a key part of my childhood, and not being able to find it has been heartbreaking. There is a edit/amv I watched around the same time that I’ll try to link in case it jogs anyone’s memories!!

Last week we asked you when you started to ship Zutara and why. Now I’d like to ask when you think Zuko and Katara would have realized their feeling for each other.

Zuko showed more respect to Katara than the rest of the Gaang when they were enemies (#pirates#necklace)

When did they become attracted to each other? When did they actually realize it? Slow burn or did it hit them all at once?

Personally I think Zuko fell for Katara first.

I'm DESPERATELY trying to find a fanfiction I started reading a few years ago but for some reason I didn't finish it.

I don't remember the name nor the author but it was on Ao3.

The plot was loosely Katara and Zuko trying to reach Ba Sing Se. They're travelling with pirates and pretending to be married to be less conspicuous. I remember about Zuko helping the pirates on deck and Katara helping in the kitchens because they basically have to work their way to Ba Sing Se. I might be imagining things lol but I'm also sure that this fic exists.

Lovely characterisations with mutual pining and light angst.

Summary:

Every Thursday for two years, Katara has treated the lightning scar Zuko took for her. It's routine. It's her job. It is absolutely not an excuse to check whether he's sleeping, or eating, or carrying the whole Fire Nation alone again. (It is. It's the only excuse she has.) What she hasn't noticed is that Zuko has been checking on her too.

The new Avatar Seven Havens has made me reflect on the original ATLA that we all love. For me who fell in love with the original series the changes since then have been quite jarring. I did not watch the original series run as it was happening, I got into the series relatively late; around 2011, right before Legend of Korra premiered. The ATLA lore I fell in love with was in a transition stage between the end of ATLA and the rise of Korra but it was still before Legend of Korra Season 2 and the Avatar Wan/Raava/Vaatu stuff which I didn't really like. My question for ya'll is, do you miss the old lore of the series, Pre-Korra S2? I do, it was more compact but it allowed for my imagination to run wild, I loved the Zutara fanfiction from that era, Ice Princess by veggiebulma being a favorite. I miss the mystery of the Spirit World, the martial arts of bending, the Imperial Asian aesthetics. I'm not a Korra hater btw, I want that to be clear.

So I have a question I like the new movie, but I wish it was more Zutara then Kataagn anyone working on it? Also that one girl part of the denied who became an Airbender I would like to see her keep her air bending and end up with Aang I believe her name was Kaliki? Thanks!
