Correct Me! Streak 13, Pilates for men

What benefits did you actually see?

Lately on Reddit, I have noticed quite a few men doing Pilates.

In korea, it is still seen mostly as a women's workout, so this caught my attention.

For the guys here who do Pilates: what kind of advantages or changes have you experienced since starting?

Once you are unemployed, you might have free time to decide what to do other than applying for jobs or looking for a separate source of income. I know the circumstances may be different for each person, some might be desperate because of the bills they have to pay, whereas others may not because they have been able to save up for an emergency fund, so there is a bit of breathing room, but that doesn't mean you will wait until it runs out.

I fall into the second situation and I have been wondering if I should actually apply for jobs or try to do something myself. Although I dislike sales, I am aware how important of a skill it is, and I think that's one way to find a source of income.

A few weeks ago I discovered a loophole to practice my French for free on a platform. Tomorrow I’m gonna take my first lesson. I can basically take 3 one hour lessons a week on this platform. The problem is that I don’t have too much free time. More likely than not, I’ll share my experience on this platform tomorrow here.

Correct Me! Streak 147: Better sleep challenge

Article: 3 Weeks to Better Sleep Challenge

Before the end of this year, I want to build healthier sleep habits. I often prioritize my hobbies over getting enough sleep. I found Healthline's three-week challenge for better sleep, and I'm especially interested in these two challenges:

  • Day 2: Use the sleep calculator to find out what time I should go to bed.
  • Day 12: Set a social media curfew.

Country culture :
Today in my class | learned that the country culture means the country has identity so for example if you see something you will say oh this looks like that country, tor example: this dance remind me of the Spanish culture dance. However some people think
USA has no culture but on my opinion they have identity and you can tell this thing from USA or some people say "it's LA thing "or even New York . so yeah that's all for today.

Correct Me! Streak 17: when it doesn't want to sink in

I have some pet peeves at work. I really hate working on certain assignments.

I wasn't that reluctant at the very beginning, though. I would just try to understand what was expected and try to implement it. Put that way, it didn't sound complicated, right?

But the software I have to use isn't user-friendly enough for me. I feel like I can't do everything I want to do. But I've tried. I've tried many times! Each time, I ended up getting stuck in a situation where, if I touched anything, nothing else would work anymore.

Now the whole thing is a mess, and I'm afraid to change anything. I'm not able to understand the basics of the tool anymore. There's something I can't process. My brain is rejecting it. I'm almost traumatised: someone just has to mention that topic, and I can feel my brain switch into a blocked mode.

But I have to get back to this assigment. I've been asked to. I think I'm going to spend hours just staring at "the thing" on my screen with a frightened look on my face. Frozen.

Correct Me! Streak 269: Welcome!

I went back to my old place today. Two days ago, I told my parents that I was planning to have lunch and dinner with them this Thursday. I still remember that when I told them I would be coming home, my dad said, “Welcome!” It felt so weird. It was as if i weren’t their daughter anymore, but more like a guest in their house.

Correct Me! Streak 766: Radio clock

The clock that I have in my bedroom is a radio clock. However, it’s been having a hard time receiving radio signals recently. Its other functions such as the alarm still work just fine, so it can be used as a regular clock, but it definitely bugs me.
