Wing Sauces and Dips What's the best sauce to put on your dry wing just before you bite into it?

I don't like saucing up my wings or dipping them in anything. What I like to do is take the bottle of whatever sauce and putting a little bit of it on the dry wing just before biting into it. My question is what's your favorite sauce when doing this?

Thank you!

Has anyone in Ontario Canada tried Wing House? A new location just opened in the town by me and was wondering if they will be worth the trip or should I save my money

Wing Questions or Discussion Wings Etc. Was it always terrible?

Haven't been to one in ages. Went for a work lunch today. It was like you gave an alien the ingredients and asked him to do his best. The wings were sitting in a 1" thick layer of sauce on the top and nothing underneath. Like how does a wing restaurant not know how to toss wings? I got garlic parm and a hot buffalo and they were both bad. On top of all that, the service was terrible (and the place was dead).

Wing Questions or Discussion Submitted for the approval of the /r/wings society, I present The Blue Cheese Quality Vs. Ranch Postulate.

We're all fans of chicken wings here. Buffalo, BBQ, garlic parm, lemon pepper, we all pray under the same church of drums and flats, but there is a common argument that I believe is unnecessary: Ranch vs Blue Cheese.

I postulate that there is not a hard and fast reigning champion for either dressing. Instead, I believe there's a proper way to decide per restaurant.

Every place will have passable ranch. It may not be great, but it will work to serve to cut through the vinegar and spice level of the sauce of the wing. But not every place has a good Blue cheese. Bad ranch is still fine, bad Blue cheese is damn near inedible. So many times ive gone into a bar and their Blue cheese has some crazy vinegar ratio that makes it shelf stable at the cost of flavor. This often has the effect of making it taste quite like puke in my opinion. Strong acidity over rich and creamy with a funky undertone? Thats puke my guy.

All of this to say: Blue cheese is preferred when its good, but when its bad, ranch will always come in clutch. And its okay to want to be safe and stick with ranch.

EDIT: A lot of you are making the very good point that good wings do not require dressing of any kind. To this I say that you are correct. However not all of us live in buffalo (or even a major city with access to a multitude of wing serving places), and wings that need some dressing are better than no wings at all. And in those scenarios, the order of operations is Good Blue Cheese>Good Ranch>Ok Ranch>Bad Ranch>Ok Blue Cheese>Bad Blue Cheese

But when they do...

These here are spicy lemon pepper served wet. It's a mix if their lemon pepper dry rub with their medium buffalo sauce. The hot sauce fumes went up my nose when they set them in front of me lol

Lakeline, NW Austin location.
