Question Wegovy - passing out

Today I passed out for 10-15 minutes. I’ve been on Wegovy for about a year and half. There have been times where I’ve felt lightheaded if I get up too fast. This happened after taking my dog for a walk. I was standing in my kitchen, doing something, and then the next thing I know, I’m waking up on the floor completely disoriented. It felt like one of those naps you regret taking, like you wake up crankier or just not feeling great, takes time to come back to yourself, if that makes sense?

Anyways, I got up off the floor and went to my living room to sit down. I had a doctor’s appt early this morning, but when I was getting my bearings, I thought I had it at like 5pm, and i actually called the wrong office to ask what room number or building I was going into, the lady on the phone must have thought I was insane 😭 then when I finally checked my calendar I realized I had a hair appt at 5 and that I did in fact already go to the doctor early this morning.

I didn’t have a headache, just felt groggy. I called my PCP and the earliest they can get me in is Wednesday afternoon. This is not the first time I’ve passed out. The last incident I think was last March. There was another time I passed out work, but I think it was from my office being a million degrees. I can’t remember if that incident was before or after I started wegovy. That just felt like dozing off and then totally falling asleep, but I digress

I guess I’m just wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences. My blood pleasure was totally fine at the doctor this morning. I don’t think it was low blood sugar. I could’ve gotten lightheaded after the walk? I was lucky I was home. Now I’m a little nervous something like this could happen while I’m driving…any insight would be helpful!

Question I’d love to hear from people who experienced good weight loss from the beginning

I am 33 year old woman
Starting weight: 97 kg 213Ibs
Current weight: 89 kg 196Ibs
Goal weight: 60-66kg 130-145Ibs
Height: 1.69 5 feet 6.5 inc

I didn’t lose any weight on the 0.25 mg, but I lost 4 kg (9 lbs) on 0.5 mg. My doctor then prescribed the 1.0 mg, but I was a little nervous about increasing it so I stayed on 0.75 mg for the next four weeks. I’ve lost another 4 kg during that time.
My doctor told me that they could increase my dose if I wanted to. What would you recommend? Should I move up to the higher dose? Would I lose more weight, or would it help suppress my appetite? Because I feel like sometimes I’m too hungry and I eat a lot.
I’ve also made significant changes to my diet. I’m eating much healthier and consuming a lot more protein than before. I used to eat very little protein and mainly ate vegetables and a lot of carbs. I never really ate fast food, but now I’ve almost completely cut out carbs and significantly increased my protein intake.
I’ve also been walking 10,000 steps a day, both before and after starting the medication.
I’m thinking about increasing my dose to 1.0 mg this month. What would you do in my situation? I’d really appreciate hearing about your personal experiences!

Question Two months on wegovy

Hi everyone! I’ve just completed two months on Wegovy. I started with 0.25 mg and increased to 0.5 mg in the second month.
I haven’t experienced any severe side effects, just mild nausea at the beginning and the day after my injections.
The main downside for me is constipation. Sometimes I can’t go to the toilet for up to a week.
I started at 85.5 kg, and after two months, I’ve managed to get down to 80.4 kg.
My question is: could the reason the number on the scale isn’t going down further be that I’m not having regular bowel movements? Or am I losing weight more slowly because I don’t have that much excess weight to lose?
I lost the first 4 kg in the first month, but only managed to lose 1 kg in the second month.
I go to the gym and track my calories as well. I’m female, 167 cm tall, and 26 years old.
I’d really appreciate some advice from those of you who have been taking Wegovy for longer. Is it worth continuing, or am I doing something wrong? Why am I not losing weight faster?
One more thing: I have insulin resistance, so I’m wondering if that could also make weight loss more difficult, but I’m not sure.
Sorry for any mispelling, my first language is not english.
Thank you for your replies!

Having to pause due to sciatica

Hello, this is just a cautionary tale. I started wegovy at the end of June, and are the end of July I started to experience sciatica pain.

Not a big deal, I have an issue with my back that means this happens every now and again. I ramp up my physio exercises and then it goes away.

Not this time. It's been getting progressively worse, and genuinely affecting my quality of life.

The first doctor I spoke to commented that it was peculiar that the pain started so close to starting a new medication, but the second doctor I spoke to today told me that there is some evidence that weightloss medication can "highlight" existing weaknesses in the body, due to muscle loss (not his words, I can't remember exactly how he put it).

I spoke to my prescriber (I was buying it privately) who suggested we pause it.

So I have decided to stop taking it for now.

I'm disappointed because, whilst my weightloss was very slow (I have lost about 6.5kg since July), it was still working for me. AND the medication stopped me from comfort eating when I was in pain (something that usually always happens to me).

I have started physio and new medication to help manage the pain.

This is just my experience, in case anyone else is going through the same thing. I am very open and willing to come back to it in the future, and in the meantime my goal is maintaining and not gaining (which I know will be different for me).

Just started Wegovy pill this AM and so far nothing. How long did it take for it to kick in and reduce the food noise? Thanks!

Question regarding my eating schedule while on Wegovy

Historically, I have eaten five small meals a day to keep my blood sugar and metabolism steady. I have always thought that this way was the healthy way to eat. However, since starting Wegovy, I am generally less hungry now. When I force myself to eat these five small meals, it often seems to stimulate my appetite, which has been frustrating. I a now experiencing hunger that I didn’t even have before the meal. Like it triggers it. Anyone else experience this?

Should I transition away from the five-meal routine and instead only eat small meals when I naturally feel hungry? Or at least 3 meals- following the breakfast, lunch, dinner model? It has been a difficult habit to break, so I would appreciate your guidance on the best way to approach this.

If this helps, I’m a soon to be 47 year old female, 5’8 ish (one doctor says 5’8 the other says 5’7 😂) and 212 pounds and have been trying to aim for 1400 calories a day but tend to get to 1650-1700. I will take my 6th shot on Saturday (4 weeks on .25, and now on .5)

Thank you so much for any advice! And much positivity your way with your weight loss journey ❤️

Progress Starting to taper down 🤞

Started mid Jan 2026, monthly increases from 0.25mg injections through to 2.4mg then held that till target weight. Dropped to 2.0mg (click counting) and now 1.7mg.

28kg (62lbs lost) from 126kg (278lbs) -> 98kg (216lbs).

Have been tracking calories using Bevel app, and tracking weight using Happy Scales app.

Powerlifting workouts 3x weekly since February. Squated 120kg (265lbs) for 5reps max, benched 72.5kg (160lbs) for 5 reps max, and deadlifted 145kg (320lbs) for 5 reps max this morning. So some progress there despite a few set backs.

Since tapering some slight increases in hunger and urges for snacks but just enough to get from deficit eating to maintenance calories so far.

7.2mg Question

Hello. I am due to inject my 4th pen on Sunday, in a month I’ve lost about 4 pounds but I’ve been maintaining 200lbs (started at 224lbs in January’06) I’ve been gaining and losing the same 5 pounds for a month now, however I was off of Wegovy for a month while my insurance played games. Now that I’m back on, I can’t really tell that it’s made a huge difference. Yes, I do eat less, but the “food noise” is still here. I was hopping to drop at least 5-8 pounds this month, with such a huge jump from not being on 2.4mg for a month and then jumping straight into 7.2mg. The most I’ve gotten out of this is skin sensitivity all over my back, feels like I’ve been sunburned. Some days are better than others. How long before you’ve noticed any true weight loss while in 7.2mg? Should I switch to Zepbound?
