Just sharing some pictures from our family trip that took place the week of September 21 2001.

There’s a few that came up with; Who wants to be a millionaire studio show, some pictures of the Millennium Village parade. And a City background that I can’t pin point if it was part of MGM studios back in that era.

Enjoy

Special Events & Experiences VIP Tour Review

Hello all just wanted to give a view into our VIP tour experience.

We were a party of 5. My husband (39M) and I (33F) have been multiple times to Disney over the years but it was a first trip for my BIL (45M) and neices (16F and 12F). We were also celebrating my husband's birthday. We are generally thrill seekers.

We opted for a 9 hour tour. We met our guide in Animal Kingdom. We were able to do 4 parks, 15 rides, quick service lunch, Starbucks, VIP merch shopping, and were dropped off for Fantasmic. We hit all of the headliner rides we wanted except Remy because it went down.

I think one of the biggest perks for me was being able to be present and enjoy the day instead of worrying about planning, booking, and directing everyone. I loved that we could easily get front/back row. We were able to reride if we wanted. Also our tour guide was great at engaging every person in the group. We got great pics cause she would tell us where all the cameras were. Also girl kept us hydrated all day!

I don't think we would do it every trip but would for sure do it again with a larger group or if we had little ones with us.

I took this video of the attraction when it was temporarily down one day. Thankfully, it did come back up within an hour. Still, it’s interesting to look at a place as if it’s on “pause” while the world around it is still in motion.

(In case you might be wondering, yes this was uploaded before, but I had to re-upload this with a new account)

Attractions & Entertainment The Haunted Mansion (On the Disney website)

https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/attractions/magic-kingdom/haunted-mansion/

This was my tiny moment of joy today. I'm going in March and I decided to just look at the site. Haunted Mansion is my favorite - and I just wanted to look at it - and I was so surprised to see the ghostly people dancing. Putting it in spoilers in case people want to be surprised. Has this always been like this and I just noticed? Did they do this especially because it's October?

Gonna go see if there are other ones now!

Edit: Tower of Terror has something similar!

Resorts & Accommodations Dolphin vs Pop

Trying to decide between Dolphin and Pop

We are strongly considering booking dolphin hotel for mid Feb. (Swan sold out)

We are marriot members and going with a group of friends so thought location wise it would be cool to be more in the center of things.

We have stayed at Pop, Port Orleans, Grand Floridian, and AKL. We loved Pop for a budget trip, but our favorite is AKL but thats not in the budget this trip.

I like that you get the extra magic hours for a moderate resort price, though I dont have the schedule that far out yet to know its worth it. I am nervous about the reviews of the dolphin side. Especially if I am suggesting it to other families that dont go as often as we do. I dont mind a little out dated as long as its pretty much clean. But want to make sure its really a good decision. There may be a couple families with 3 per room and the rooms look bigger than Pop too.

Do you really get 17x the points?

Do the buses run early enough for getting there for early entry? We usually arrive 30 minutes before early entry starts.

Planning Christmas at Disney

Hey, all be easy on me here mom of six kids trying to plan a Christmas magic Disney trip only three of my six kids have ever been to Disney and that was over 10+ years ago. We will definitely stay off property because staying on property isn’t an option. I’m thinking Magic Kingdom one day and Hollywood Studios the other day. Only 2 park days is all we could afford for this trip maybe Seaworld one of our free days we’re going to stay down there for a week. We’re driving around 10 hours. Are we dumb for trying to go that time of the year for half of our kids first time to Disney should we wait and go at a less popular time or will we be OK?

Dates would be Dec 20-27th that we would stay in fl and we could go to the parks whenever in between those 7 days

My kids are ages 16-7 3 boys and 3 girls

Resorts & Accommodations King with roll away bed or two doubles.

We are looking at booking the Dolphin hotel and now deciding between two doubles or 1 king with roll away for 2 adults and a 14 year old.

How is the rollaway bed? Do you think it helps with space? And comfort of the king bed?

MDE, Lightning Lane, & Virtual Queue Lightning Lane vs VIP

Has anyone done both and would you be willing to share your experiences? I haven’t fully dug into lightning lane but it sounds like an intense process. Is VIP that much better if rides are the priority? My kids don’t care about the characters so the real benefit would be the rides and shows I guess. Do you still experience some lines with lightning lane? The pricing for VIP is insane but if I have to wait in lines I’d rather not even go. Thanks for any insight you can share!

I am going to Disney Springs at the end of the month and am wondering how likely it will be to find items there I've seen on the Disney Store website? Is everything sold online also sold in the parks? Curious. .

Other Disney World Magic plus bands

I have one day tickets to Magic Kingdom, and I am staying on property. I have the disney world app. I see my tickets on the app and they r assigned to the right 2 people. I can also see my hotel reservations, the hotel name and all the details on the app. Where Im confused is the magic band plus. I went to magic bands on the disney app. Both bands r showing linked to the correct 2 people. Is there anything more I need to do to link the tickets and hotel? Ive read thru so many posts and googled and I cannot figure out if these r set to go or if there is something more I need to do. Both need to be charged and I did see there is an update to the bands I will do both of those things. I did set my band to link to bluetooth. Does my husband have to link his band to bluetooth with his phone or can I link it to bluetooth on my phone? Does he need to have the Disney app for his band to work? If anyone can help me understand this in very simple terms, THANK YOU!!

Food, Drinks, & Dining What snacks are free “included” in MVMCP after hours ticket?

I have never been to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, but this year I’m blessed to be going. I’m curious what snacks are included free with the ticket? Is popcorn included? I seen cookies and cocoa, apple cider, eggnog. But any thing else? Thank you!

Planning Animal kingdom or Epcot with two toddlers?

Doing a short Disney trip November 15-17 with our two toddlers ( 4 and 2 ). Staying at the grand Floridian. We've only been to magic kingdom once.

Plan is arrive Sunday, hang out at pool/ hotel/ maybe Disney springs

Magic kingdom early Monday am, mid day break, evening for more/ fireworks

Tuesday we are thinking either animal kingdom bs Epcot. They love animals, but we also do the zoo etc often. They like bluey but also love frozen, etc Epcot stuff. So torn! We are headed home after this park (driving back to Tampa) so no mid day break, just going as long as we can

Thoughts on animal kingdom vs Epcot for day 2???

Merch Epcot Perfumes for Engraving

I am looking to get a perfume engraved at Epcot. Does anyone have a list of brands or specific fragrances that Plume et Palette and La Signature in the France Pavilion and Il Bel Cristallo in the Italy Pavilion sell? I would love to see pictures of engravings too!

I'm a planner and want to smell the fragrances ahead of time. I like white florals, jasmine, rose, and vanilla notes. I do not like amber or patchouli notes. Any recommendations welcome!

AskWDW 2 days 4 parks

My girlfriend and I are leaving tonight for the weekend and spending Friday and Sunday in the parks! Our plan is to hit MK Friday morning and Epcot that night (hopefully MK is less busy because of the Halloween party that night) and AK Sunday morning and HS that night! We are extremely excited and prepared to spend our time at the parks from rope drop to park close. Lightning lanes aren't really in the budget unfortunately.

Anybody have any strategies or tips to make this trip run smoothly and awesome?

Planning Tips for taking 5 month old to Disney!

Hi!! My husband and I have been going to Disney World yearly for the past 5 or 6 years so we know the parks really well. We had a baby in June and can’t wait to take him on his first trip next month! He’ll be 5 months old and this is our first big trip with him. We plan on bringing our Uppababy vista stroller. The seat leans back so he can nap in it. We also are trying out different carriers. He never really liked carriers so it’s a little tough. We’re leaning towards the tula explore but he really prefers to be forward facing (which I know isn’t recommended but wtv it’s only for 2 days in the park).
We’re going for 4 days. Day 1 will be travel day/disney springs. Day 2 will be magic kingdom. Day 3 will be Epcot. Day 4 will be hotel day/travel day.
Also, this is his first flight so any tips are welcome! It’s only 3 hrs but he is a very curious baby and doesn’t like to sit still so I’m a little worried. We put him as a lap infant since he doesn’t like the car seat anyway.

Thanks in advance!
