Question Law Hogs, how's the law school?

prospective applicant, 3.88 GPA, 168 LSAT (practice, so likely closer to 165). I read that arkansas law is relatively cheap after scholarships, and I'm currently in Monroe, LA so I'm interested.

Dorms

Simply put--what's the best dorm choice for an incoming freshman boy who just wants a decent place to live with easy access to food and classes? He doesn't care if it's communal bathrooms or a quad. He just wants a good place to live that doesn't make day-to-day life hard to navigate.

Question Distinguished Governors Scholarship

Hey guys, I am a hs senior in Arkansas. I have a 32 act superscore, 3.95 uw 4.16 w gpa, president of FBLA and art club 2 years each, class president 4 years, ranked 2/33 in class, and will have my associate of arts done in the spring.

Am I likely to get the Governors Distinguished Scholarship? I know I am kind of close in some of the requirements and deciding whether or not to retake the ACT for a higher score in December. Has anyone ever qualified and not gotten it? I am really relying on this scholarship since I’m planning on going to Uark in the fall.

Can freshman get single rooms?

Hello! I’m helping my son compare his college choices. His other choice offers freshman a choice of a solo room in a suite of 4. I noticed UofA offers a form of these.. but are freshmen able to get these?

Question Anyone taken Environmental Resiliency Masters Online Program

Brief background for why I am looking into it. I currently work in the Energy field working on getting EV Charging, Solar panels, BESS systems, etc installed in sites all over the US. This sort of work aligns with my personal politics as well, I drive an EV, compost my own materials to use in garden beds in my backyard, have solar panels on the house, etc.

I've been thinking about going back to school to get my Master's, but it's not something I can quit my job to do, so the 100% online part seems great. I've been looking into options for about a year know and doing research into what I want to do. I've watched some of the content this department has put out and the course load seems to match to what I want basically 1:1. I also got my BS at U of A so I'm familiar with the campus and feel like I got a good education for my BS and it was worth the commitment.

I know this program is only a couple years old, so I was wondering if anyone here has or knows anyone with experience with the program. Thanks for any help in advance.

So back at the end of July I bid on and won the auction for a 2010 Orion VII fleet number 2 with the intention of preservation I had it trucked back home to the DC region and it’s currently getting its Maryland state inspection I was wondering if any of you guys had any photos of it while it was in service once it’s cleared from the state inspection and I take it to get a plate expect to see more of this bus! Also this isn’t my only bus I own or have a hand in so this won’t just sit and rot I can’t wait to be able to clean it nicely and bring it to shows! (Yes bus shows exist)

Everyone here is the Same.

This is for anyone who's feeling alone because I know I am. Everyone here is genuinely cookie cutter personalities, no variety or real hobbies. If you didn't rush good luck finding anyone to talk to

FIN Aid dispersements

Has anybody gotten any of there loans dispersed? I know that everybody is still having issues thanks to BBB but I was told they were hoping to have everything dispersed by mid September. Luckily I am not in a situation where I absolutely have to have that money to pay rent and such. I can't imagine how students are feeling that rely on that money to pay bills not whatnot.

Honors College

What exactly is apart of being in the honors college?

Are the dorms for the honors college really that bad? And are they more or less expensive then the typical freshman dorms?

Are there female and male honors dorms? Or is it one?

Full time software engineer and parent. Recently encouraged to consider a grad degree

Just looking for some info from current or previous students on the Master’s of Science in Engineering Management: typical hours/week, frequency of course offerings, difficulty of classes, availability of profs and advisors, etc

Anyone taken advantage of the master’s certs through electives? Was looking at trying to do 2 at once through some convenient overlap in the required classes

Any info is appreciated! Thank y’all!

Question Are there any buses that run normal routes on game days?

I'm looking to go to the movie theater on Saturday and I'm not sure if the 27 will be running. I swore I saw it out on college when I was at the retrocade during a home game a couple weeks ago but I wanna make sure. Thank you!

Question Rushing…?

Hey I’ve lived in NWA for the past 5 years and I just graduated last May. I’m currently a freshman at nwacc so I will be transferring to uark the next fall semester. Ever since I was a little, I knew I wanted to rush because I was obsessed with legally blonde, but in the past few months I’ve kind of changed my mind. I’m worried about rushing here specifically. I’m super shy, awkward with high anxiety (diagnosed high functioning autistic). So it’s kind of hard for me to make friends so I figured joining a sorority would kind of help me with that. But at the same time, I know if I got dropped, it would literally crush my soul. Any girls rushing help me out 😭

UAMS Financial Aid Notification

I just got an email from the UAMS Financial Aid office saying that they’ve received my FAFSA for the 2026-2027 school year and to check Workday to see my financial aid award when it’s available.

I didn’t apply to UAMS, send them my financial aid info, or do anything to trigger this. I checked in Workday just to make sure it’s not spam and it showed up there too.

I’m also currently attending the University of Arkansas, so it doesn’t make sense that I’d get this six weeks into the semester.

What do I do? Did anyone else get this email? Please let me know. I’m lowkey freaking out.

Question Acceptance Chances

Hey guys! Quick question, I've been banking on going to UofA with friends for a little while now, and I realized that my GPA is a little bit below the school's average. Currently I have a 3.5 weighted and a 3.7 unweighted, as well as a 26 ACT compositive (with a 28 as my superscore). Oh, and I attend ASMSA, if that's any indicator.
So, what are my actual chances of getting in?
