If you are on the shorter size as an adult, go trunk-or-treat and trick-or-treating with a full costume and then use the candy to distribute at your house. Never pay for candy again.

Anyone have any suggestions for cars that park in my parking spot? I live in a busy area of town and it’s always new people but it’s constant and the tow company/management won’t do anything about it. Don’t want to do real damage since it’s relatively not a big deal but every time I pull up and it’s taken I get pissed for a good ten minutes lol. I also have a camera pointed at the lot so nothing crazy. Thanks!

They did it all: they forgot my order twice, got it wrong, served my to-go order on a plate, and overcharged me. What really hurt was the guy accusing me of not paying because he did not hear the cashier call out my order, even though I was standing right there when he did and the guy responded. He swore at me when I showed him the CC notification on my phone.
How do I really send it home? They have a 4.8 on Google so my bad review isn't doing much. How do I hit them where it hurts?

First my request, then the story.
Say I wanted to disable speakers from afar (or at least the speaker directly outside my window)... What could I do to sabotage them or turn them off without being on the security cameras in said space? Pretty sure they are wired & the main stereo or whatever is connected to a wifi network I have access to.
The story:
There is a public space right outside my work building, and there are speakers playing the most random mix of like 20 songs consisting of shitty country/Taylor Swift/Sabrina Carpenter/rando 70s hits.
It's a small town. The people in charge of the speakers are sick of me asking them to turn it down or change the playlist & ignore my pleas. It plays from 7am - 11pm. ALL YEAR. (No one uses the space in the winter.)
I am going FUCKING NUTS. I know all the lyrics against my will. I can't listen to Ophelia, Espresso, I Ain't Coming Back, or a shitty cover of Travelin' Soldier again.
It's either disable the speakers or stand outside the village managers office window with an equally shitty mix blasting until he turns it the fuck off.

Context, Restaurant/Bar. I’ve been at this job for a year. I worked hard put my best foot forward. Did everything I could to be a pretty decent employee. Initially interviewed for manager position (resume supported). Was told they weren’t really looking for managers, but they had a server position and I took it and shortly became a bartender. Within two months was re-interviewed for the manager position. Requested the median number for the salary range, got denied. Month or two goes by, get re-interviewed same story. Realize I have reached my potential ceiling. Continue to go to work every day. Do what I’m supposed to do be friendly and enjoyable to be around and go home. Girlfriend gets cancer. Surgery IVF and chemo become extremely demanding of my personal life. The GM is completely lacking in empathy (not worth describing). During the course of all this, she suddenly becomes very standoff-ish to scheduling requests around medical appointments. Decides I’m not an easy employee and starts targeting me. Lets me show up this morning only so she could tell me she was pulling my bar shifts (another bartender served a woman 6 IPA’s didn’t communicate this to me despite the woman closing her tab, woman reopens a tab with me and orders another IPA, all of this happens exactly when I show up for work and the woman gave no obvious indication of intoxication.) because of an incident (other bartender was not reprimanded and is ironically buddy-buddy with her) I’m interviewing for another hospitality job I will likely get tonight. Let’s hear your thoughts and opinions on how one should/could handle this situation for Someone Who Isn’t Me (SWIM).

So i got approved for an apartment on October 5th and the latest i can move in is November 4th. it’s $1305 a month. but my credit is bad so i have to pay 2x the rent as a security deposit which equals to be $2610 and then a prorated rent amount of $1,174!! that’s a total of $3,784 that i have to have by november 4th in order to receive my keys!! Between all my other bills there is no way I can come up with that amount by the 4th. I can’t get a loan from a bank either because of my credit! Yall i don’t know what to do. i can afford the rent monthly, but i wasn’t expecting the upfront cost to get in. i don’t even think i have a chance at getting an extension because the office said i had 30 days from the day of approval to move in, so november 4th is the latest. What can i do ?? any advice?

Hi all,
Wondering if some people managed to keep their US job without the employer knowledge after moving to France and becoming a resident?
If so, how did you handle taxes in both countries? Basically I'm trying to understand if there's any way I can keep working for my US employer remotely, out of France, if I'm a resident there.
Thanks

This is even really unethical, however Im looking for a workaround since Walmart wants to be dicks. I do Walmart curbside pickup every week for our groceries. Sometimes an item is missing and through the app, "item missing" is not an option, and the only option I have is to "start a return," which requires bringing the item in to the store...but I don't have the item, that's the problem.
Anyone know how I can get money back for an item that I paid for, but did not receive? I'm really not trying to go argue with a customer service desk worker or manager over a different employees mistake. I'm not talking about high ticket items, usually it's a $10 or less grocery item. Also, I'm not trying to scam anyone, I just want to pay for what I received, and not pay for what I didn't.
Edit: This is not a post about swapping returns or stealing.
TLDR: Walmart pickers sometimes do not include everything in my order, how can I get my money back?
Edit: I can't reply to comments? But multiple have suggested that I ask for a refund and choose "item missing" as the reason. That isn't an option in the dropbar, and I stated this in my post above.

Any tips for avoiding a creepy neighbor’s door cam who has been harassing me and watching me come in & out. I live in an apartment complex on the top floor & our doors (& his cam) directly face each other. I’ve already checked with complex manager, and they say it’s completely legal for him to have in our area.

Title pretty much sums it up... my restaurant got a 1 star review from a Google "Local Guide Level 5" who seems to give most places 1 stars with key terms like "worst ever" and "their food should be illegal". I don't want to get into a pissing match with them online - is there anything I can do to just make their life a little bit more irritating?

I get 2–4 spam robocalls every single day, and blocking the numbers does absolutely nothing. So I’ve started fighting back in the pettiest way possible.
Whenever one calls, I answer politely, say “hello,” and patiently sit through the automated spiel until it asks me to respond.
Then I unleash the loudest, highest-pitched whistle I can manage directly into the microphone.
If an actual person ever has to review the recording, they’ll be greeted by a piercing whistle instead of a potential “customer.”
Does it actually get me removed from their calling lists? No idea. But I’d like to think somewhere, a scammer is reconsidering their career choices. It’s probably completely ineffective, but it makes answering the phone a bit more entertaining for me.

My neighbor behind my house is elderly and a bit of an asshole, but I can deal with him. He’s broke and can barely afford his house.
So he’s somehow figured out a way to earn money by letting a group of feral 30 year old bums flop at his house and now they have began to set up bum camp in his backyard. They have a ramshackle lean to built with a tarp covering the entrance.
Every day when they wake up from the previous night’s shenanigans around noon, it begins again: generally behaving like college freshman who just had their first beer; raising hell, burning anything they can find, cranking music, leaving crap all over, piling their constant stream of trash into all the neighbors trash cans. It goes on till 3am every night.
Things in the neighborhood are beginning to disappear and what was once a quiet alley has now become a drunken, loud and somewhat intimidating bum party.
Women walking their dogs are getting catcalled and neighborhood tension is growing.
Short of heaving a roadkill cat into the bushes to stink them out, what’s a good way to get them to move on?

barely slept last night, had uni during the day and now I'm at work and I genuinely can't sit here for another 5 hours doing nothing 😭
What's a good reason to give my manager to leave early? I don't wanna tell him I'm tired or that I had uni lol.

A few years ago I was royally screwed over by someone and it sent my career a bit sideways. The other day I ran into a former colleague who told me that person is getting sued for screwing over someone else. I searched online and it didn’t come up right away, but after some digging I found some pdfs of the court filings that were noted as ‘public record’. The content of this lawsuit makes this person look horrible. Could these documents be posted somewhere that makes them more searchable or that lands at the top of the results when someone googles this a-hole’s name?

I hire some undocumented workers in my cafe and pay them under the table with a bank transfer per their request. I want to keep them on, but I'm kinda getting nervous. How do I keep paying them whilst balancing the books without alerting the authorities?

I'm an average man but have been able to hook up and date girls which are way beyond my league and one common thread has been that they would be at the lowest point of their life. Maybe after an abusive relationship, career problems, parental issues and I just have to be patient and listen to their problems and they would go head over heels for me for being understanding. The most unethical I have been when I reached out to a girl who had failed college knowing exactly what i have to do and it worked. At that point you can be a broke person doing bare minimum but it will work.

He'll be coming from interstate over a week span to celebrate a wedding/bucks do.
Throw some funny ideas my way where we can make his life hell for a week without overstepping the boundary too far.
TIA.
Edit: his dad's dead so that's like way outta the question unfortunately

Newish construction condo. Developer-controlled Board with a property manager (PM) appointed from Associa, a big shitty HOA and property management company. They were supposed to hold HOA elections earlier but illegally waited until now to do it. The obvious play here is for the developer to keep the same property manager in charge so that the new elected HOA board spend their time debating parking spaces instead of managing. The PM literally is the manager for the developer’s next-door commercial property, but we as condo owners pay his 100k+ salary and the company management fees.
For the real unethical stuff - basically I look young and most condo owners are old people; for whatever reason the PM has been a dickhead and super passive aggressive since I moved here. Harassing me about parking, I’m always within the lines; neighbor stole my mail but returned it (he says no big deal) then the business next door loses its mail (he’s convinced it’s me and sends me a creepy video of me getting my own mail). Like he has an office in the building lobby and he’s jumped out of his office to physically confront me and I could see in his eyes he wanted to be even more aggressive. He’s just waiting for shit to blame on me and looking for ways he can harass me.
I already ran for HOA elections (which triggered him more lol), which are pending, and was gonna advocate for CPA review and HOA attorney present at the transition. My main goal is to cancel their contract and get rid of him, but the old people in the building like chit-chatting with him and he does a good job of pretending to be their friends even though he’s screwing us and their entire company is grossly overpaid. There’s 70 people in the building max; probably only 35 live full-time and the rest have other homes. We have a full-time PM, maintenance, and a cleaner plus other various people and fees from the management company. Over half our HOA revenue gets eaten up by them. The building itself is energy efficient and not that expensive seemingly. My biggest gripe is that we pay the PM to work for the developer and their adjacent commercial businesses. The developer will have a board seat still but our elected 3-person HOA will have the power to cancel contracts; I just worry that they won’t care to exercise their power and default to continuing to let the developer/PM do whatever they want. Which means facing passive-aggressive harassment as long as I live here. Most neighbors are actually kind of nice; I’d prefer being ruled by my neighbors than a corporation/PM.
The ethical tips: run for election to HOA, hire CPA for transition review, hire HOA attorney. There’s cameras in the lobby/mailroom but not where people live and in the common room. Not sure how to get other residents on board as a lot of them are kind of absentee owners. I got like 3 phone numbers and no mailing/contact list for the building. Have the HOA financials but not any contracts (promised but not given by the PM), the financials were prepared by the PM; that’s all we have for financials.
Unethical tips?

I (30F) think my ex husband (38M) or his current girlfriend are seeing my Instagram and threads from an alt account. I have them both blocked on both platforms. And I’ve checked to see if they have alternate instagrams tied with threads usernames, (they did, shocker) and blocked those accounts as well. This has been going on for a while now and I am finally in the headspace and financial position to address it with my lawyer.
While I have them blocked, they’re posting on their main accounts trolling me and my posts/replies/etc. like they’re OBVIOUSLY about my posts.
I know it seems redundant, obviously privating my stuff is easier but I’m looking for things to screenshot as evidence to show that these people have been repeatedly stalking me. Things I can present to my lawyer that has account names that can be traced to them and their phones/IP address. Are there any social media detectives who have tips to offer?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated. If you’re going to troll me at least give me something to laugh at. My sense of humor is pretty dark. Thanks!

Does anybody want to send a link to a specific account? You would have to have a fairly established FB account, preferable one that dabbles in self growth.

I’ll keep it short for you guys. Basically became good friends with the CEO, always worked hard, stayed on task and did my job, he trusted me and would always ask for help with computer stuff and I always obliged with no increase in pay. (We do sales, commission only, 1099 independent contractors). He would dangle carrots and say he’d make me the manager when I finish up with school and ended up giving the position to someone else that no one in the office likes. That’s fine. Whatever. We then found out that one of the salespeople was cheating our system. He asked everyone to vote on firing that person and I said I’m not taking part in that vote, you’re the owner you should be making that decision. Blah blah blah, he ends up calling me a bitch, berates me for no reason, takes out his frustration on me instead of the sales rep who got in trouble. I pushed back, told him not to talk to me like that because I’ve always had the best interest of his company in mind. Never took a personal shot. And he just kept saying “im the boss, I can do whatever I want” Anyways he fired me. I’m usually not petty and can let stuff go but I was loyal to the company and never cut corners, always helped him out and even became friends. I’ve thought about reporting the company to the state for misrepresenting us as 1099 when we in reality should be w2, I’ve thought about venting it out on the google review page but scared of legal things happening. I don’t know, what would you guys do?

Many sports and predictions betting apps will give you money for doing certain actions, like "100% trade match on an MLB game up to $10". So you bet $10 on a game, they give you the $10, then you immediately sell your $10 bet for a loss of about a dollar. The trick then is that you can't withdraw the money until you've bet with it, so just bet the full $19 on something and then immediately sell for about another dollar loss, and you profit $8. "DK" is the one I use and they give some kind of bonus like that almost every day. I've made $100 in the past two weeks, which isn't a lot but it's $100 I didn't have. Just be careful, don't actually use the money for gambling because the system is rigged against you
