Microinteraction Airbnb polish is something else ✨

The host profile tap animation feels like opening a tiny passport.

It’s hard to get details like this shipped. How do teams actually ship interfaces this polished?

It’s not hard to when you have a large enough team that’s design-focused.

It’s also designed to do this and have to ignore the cleaning fees and the host asking you to clean still so, trade-offs.

I know Airbnb is generally accepted to be good design, but I hate using their app and site. It always just feels frustrating

i need to see what they're talking about first -- do you have a screenshot or link to the post? can't comment blind on airbnb's design without knowing what specifically caught their eye.
