I made a physics solver for TouchDesigner. Initially, I used the XPBD framework to VBD (Vertex Block Descent) and Augmented VBD based on the SIGGRAPH papers from the University of Utah, and I am getting a much better output when it comes to soft-body collision. This is me playing with just soft bodies with a collider mesh and getting 60fps. When I add a rigid body into this mix, the frame rates drop, so I need to work on that next. I tried working on a ray-traced refractive shader, but it's not perfect as of yet, and I would be working on it as I go along

What Computer are you using for big Touchdesigner Projects with 3 or more screens? For example with a 3 Beamer setup.
I really dont like windows so i was looking at a Mac Studio M5 Max. Also, i like the reliability that macOS gives. But i wonder if graphics support is conciderably better with Nvidia. Are the Nvidia Specific features like native Vulkan implementation important for performance?

Hey everyone!

I'm a creative technologist and visual artist looking to connect with people who have more experience in this field and would be open to offering some guidance or mentorship.

My work spans a few different areas, including VJing, projection mapping, lighting design, motion graphics, and interactive installations. I've been experimenting with TouchDesigner, Resolume, DMX lighting, ESP32/LED systems, and hand-tracking technology.

I've been teaching myself a lot of these skills through personal projects and live performances, but I've reached a point where I feel like having guidance from someone more experienced would make a huge difference.

I'm especially interested in learning how professionals approach technical workflows, integrate different systems, develop larger-scale installations, and turn these skills into a sustainable creative career.

I know mentorship is a big ask, so I'm also very open to casual conversations, portfolio feedback, collaborating on projects, or simply connecting with people working in similar spaces.

If anyone has advice on finding mentors in this industry, knows of communities I should join, or would be open to connecting, I'd really appreciate it!

For clarification: I used touchdisigner for the 4D slit scanning effect, the dotted lines in the scenes on a fair, the spooky audio reactive floating image (I drew the image irl) and the data-mosh-like effect in the end.

The small creatures at the bottom and the text are animated by hand in toon boon harmony.
