Lore (Mixed trope) ridiculous plot/story

Cripple wolf- a crippled Vietnam veteran who is unaware he's a werewolf goes on a massive passenger plane dedicated to fetishes. He accidentally turns into a feral werewolf that slaughters hundreds of people and fights a superhero with the punching force of a panzer lll and turns multiple people including a baby into werewolf's, he runs people over and other shenanigans. It's a hilarious short story that's worth checking out.

Ass goblins of Auschwitz- ass goblins invade kidland a relatively peaceful planet full of kids. The MCs are conjoined twins who along with other kids are turned into slaves to make food, bicycles, cider and alot more out of dead kids. The conjoined twins are experimented on to become more monstrous in appearance. IMO this book sucks but has a bat shit insane story with the ass goblins wanting to gain childhood since they're all born adults and are jealous of the kids innocents and happiness.

For anyone who has only looked at the covers of Tinglers; they are fantastically written short stories that lay out their absolutely bonkers internal logic very smoothly and then play enjoyably in that space for a while.

Chuck Tingle is out here as the vanguard of the idea that whimsical and goofy is not definitionally any worse than serious. This is a classic way of buds, and one I enjoy.

(My favorite is Eaten Out At Mermoped Cove. Right off the bat, it explains that a mermoped is half fish, half moped. Then, for the rest of the book, it gives its main mermoped character consistent and recognizable body language. It's barely two pages in before you start going "oh, yeah, obviously that's how a mermoped would do that". And it never blinks. Never gives any indication that there is anything strange about this premise. It's fantastic and you should pay this man $3 for it.)

This is the first time I'm realizing that these are actual short stories I can read and aren't just images made for the meme

Let's not forget Harriet Porber in response to JKR being transphobic. He got that out so fast and I bought a copy so fast

Honestly, turning frustration into a book people can actually support is such a satisfying response I love when creativity gets the last word!

I got my mother one of those Harriet Porber books for my mom as a joke Christmas gift, the one with the dinosaur bad boy. She laughed so dang hard when she saw the cover.

So you're telling me he might be the greatest surrealist author of our time?

I don't actually think 'surrealist' is the right word here, because every book's set of buckwild rules for how the world works are entirely internally consistent. If you agree to accept the initial premise, you are reading a straightforward romance and/or smut story set in a world where everything behaves like you'd expect it to.

So I'd say it's like... negative space in the shape of surrealism, maybe. What his books do is make completely batshit ideas make perfect sense. I cannot emphasize enough that if you accept that a mermoped exists to begin with, the aforementioned story is about a brief and very mutually satisfactory fling between two people who have enormous chemistry immediately. And one's a mermoped.

They're part of the canon of Discordian literature, for sure.

Dude also writes fantastic horror novels.

Fantastic horror novels that are regularly nominated for and winning awards. I feel like his erotica would also be doing so if there were awards for that. Dude's just a genuinely good author.

Bury Your Gays is my first of his books and also an immediate like top 2 book I read this year, alongside Model Home by Rivers Solomon

My favorite Chuck Tingle book is Trans Wizard Harriet Porber and the bad boy Ceracelaphus.
