This has to be the funniest thing I’ve seen in a while. I’ve been belly laughing from the “we made it, dad” after she starts shooting the TRex. Or when she’s riding in the kayak and says “..I could’ve had a family” 😭😂

I'm wondering if they gave TRC to juniors instead of the OG game developers would there much difference in quality. If the OG team got to work on AOD straight away it would probably be a much better game.

I loved the different gun upgrades, the scenery, the small secret tomb puzzles and the map. I think it was pretty good.

However, I had quite a lot of gripes with everything else.

The combat: it was okay, but it felt really underdeveloped. I wish there were more kinds of enemies that you could fight, instead of simple gunmen. There could have been more ways to silently take out enemies. If they leaned into it a bit more, then I think less people would have a problem with the combat in this game.

The writing: maybe its just me, but I hardly cared about most of these characters. Hell, even the main villain felt like just a random guy. And omg the constant handholding via monologues and dialogues.. can I solve ONE puzzle myself??

The pacing: the game felt very repetitive a lot of times. Running while everything explodes, sliding down something, enemies ambushing you over and over again... if all these things only happened in the first 1/3 of the game, it would have been fine. Also, a lot of times it felt like the game is going to end. But nooo, you have to collect something else from far away! I dont mind that the game is long, its just that almost every part of it seemed like its going to end in 30 minutes. In the last 2 hours, I stopped caring and speedran it.

The useless mechanics: did i miss something, or was killing animals completely useless after the first 2 hours of the game? Whats the point of being able to kill rats for example? Its not like you will ever run out of bullets, especially if you know how to do headshots.

So overall it was a fine game, and I expect a lot more from the next two. If they polished it and made it less repetitive, it could have been great.

Ok this is funny I haven’t restarted it to see if it fixes itself. Is this a common bug from the Xbox one version of tomb raider?

Ive created a mod that makes Lara built like a fridge. This was made for proof of concept but I'm finding myself getting attached. Some features so far are that the doors have full hinge physics, food falls off the shelves and respawns, her voice lines are replaced with fridge slamming noises, the freezer door opens and closes when she talks. And my favorite part: you can slap people with the freezer door.

It's been almost 6 years since source code, along with dev stuff of "Tomb Raider 10th anniversary edition" got published, but i haven't seen any modding projects for this game or any interest of fans for years. I wanted to ask if anyone is working on any Level Editor or maybe an open source project for this?

I installed a mod called loose hair soft curls by LordksOP on Nexus Mod and tried playing this on Steam and it keeps doing this??? I've tried changing up the settings multiple times, restarting and reloading i honestly don't know how to fix this since this is my very first time installing a mod.. and just generally not very tech savvy. I'd even uninstall the mod and reinstall to see if that would work but nope. Again please let me know if this isn't the right place to ask.
