Discussion Thrifted a vintage 1967 globe for $18, should I bring it in for geography week or keep it safe at home?
Picked up this globe at my local shop yesterday. Dated 1967. The thing is heavy, solid wood base, no scratches. They had it marked at $18 which felt a little steep for a thrift store but I grabbed it anyway because it looked cool and honestly I'm a sucker for anything I can put a plant next to.
Got it home and started spinning it. Some of the country names are wild to see. Rhodesia. East Pakistan. The Soviet Union taking up half the map. My fourth graders would have zero idea what any of it means, which is kind of the point. Might actually bring it in for geography week if I can figure out how to transport it without destroying it.
The colors go really well with my living room setup. Not sure if I got ripped off or not. I've seen similar ones online for way more but that doesn't really mean much. Anyone here know if $18 was reasonable? Either way it's staying. Just curious what the consensus is.

Clothing&Accessories Found this vintage Etro bag 🤎
Another thrift find that I’m absolutely in love with!
I recently scored this beautiful Etro bag for only around $13, and I still can’t believe the price. 😭
I’m obsessed with the chocolate-brown leather, subtle paisley pattern, antique gold hardware, and especially that gorgeous burgundy satin lining!
It definitely has some signs of age and wear, but honestly, I think that adds to its vintage charm. The leather still feels so soft and supple, and the overall condition looks pretty good considering its age.
I’m not entirely sure what year or collection this bag is from. Does anyone recognize this Etro model? I’d love to know more about it! 🤎

Electronics Cute bendable lamp for 19.99!
I got the lamp shade awhile ago from the same place and never found a lamp for it, until I went back and saw the lamp and had to have it, there was another like it but more dirty brass and I didn’t think I could confidently clean it all so I left it.
VERY cute in my little nook by my fish tank!

Toys&Games Lite Brite 1981
I got this at Goodwill today for $5. It has lots of patterns and a Skyline Chili tub full of the colored pegs. I coveted my cousins Lite Brite but never had one of my own.

Clothing&Accessories My girlfriend walked in, laughed, and said it "looks like a cobbler lives here."
First boots were 8 bucks, shoes were 10, desk was 20. The bag was 6, but I intend to recolor the fabric because I haaaate the yellow. To be fair to my Beloved, it was even worse before I got the photo, because I had my new shoes and a pair of her old ones lined up to be conditioned and the conditioner and sponge were out. It DID look like I was a cobbler. Bonus, the desk matches and works perfect with a director's chair we got a few months ago for 7 bucks.
