Found this guy at a Village Outlet. Not sure of original maker with no scratches or chips and super heavy and beautiful 😍. I feel blessed regardless if actual Murano or not.

I decided to stop by the thrift store today on my way home, and I saw this necklace in the display case. I recognized it immediately as I am a big fan of Silpada jewellery. The fact that I got it for only $8 still baffles me.

I also went to the scarf section because I’ve been looking for silk scarves recently, and I found this Danier Rabbit Fur scarf for only $5!

I refuse to buy fur new, but I have no problem getting it secondhand.

I bought this jewelry from Gracie’s Vintage, a local shop that’s been around for 10ish years. Luckily, the sunlight hit my hand just right as I was taking the picture.

Nothing monumental. But imagine finding this photo printed 50 years from now, alongside thrift store hauls, flea market finds, handmade creations, and random things people spotted around town.

We put so much of our everyday lives on the internet, but how much of it will actually survive? Posts get buried, accounts disappear, websites shut down. Whole little pieces of our communities could vanish into the void.

It’s got me thinking about a community record built by ordinary people, documenting the things that catch their attention. Not just landmarks and historic events, but the little moments that show what life was like in a particular place and time.

Would you contribute to something like that? If history belongs to the people who lived it, who gets to decide which moments count?

Not sure what we're going to do with it yet. I'm a sucker for petrified wood, though. Its going to live on the floor for a bit, but how could I possibly pass on this for $50.

Went to drop off some stuff at a local thrift shop in the NL when this caught my eye. Seems genuine based on the embroidery backing and the labels!

Had a COA on the back from the Gettysburg Museum of History.

I got the lamp shade awhile ago from the same place and never found a lamp for it, until I went back and saw the lamp and had to have it, there was another like it but more dirty brass and I didn’t think I could confidently clean it all so I left it.

First boots were 8 bucks, shoes were 10, desk was 20. The bag was 6, but I intend to recolor the fabric because I haaaate the yellow. To be fair to my Beloved, it was even worse before I got the photo, because I had my new shoes and a pair of her old ones lined up to be conditioned and the conditioner and sponge were out. It DID look like I was a cobbler. Bonus, the desk matches and works perfect with a director's chair we got a few months ago for 7 bucks.

Found a lovely oil painting by Julia Heseltine for £4. Couldn’t see a signature so opened the frame and it was signed in the back. I liked reading about the artist and her life. She was the daughter of renowned painter Anna Zinkeisen. Interestingly the inside board has another title “Gods and beggars”. Not sure if it was the back board for another painting?

Purchased this green lace Vera wang dress for $4 today at Good Will! Seems to be in good condition. Not the craziest find but perfect for a wedding in a couple of weeks. Thank you color of the week.
