Just to start, I love MCU’s Thor and have no hate towards the franchise. Although the last movie has some points of debate.
Just curious though, has anyone ever thought that Volstagg was a more appropriate looking Thor in accordance to Nordic mythos? I mean that and the War Thor in the comics with BRB, to me at least fill the criteria of the version described in mythology.
Also, why make Sif a brunette that has no real love relation in the MCU series. To follow comic book suite or another agenda?
No hate towards Hemsworth and he has all the love of the character. However, just for funsies and putting MCU aside, what Nordic character in the mythos do you think he’d best fill?
P.s. disregard the large vat of mead in the background.

It's the funniest thing about her and honestly wish even comics had more of it, it's funny and it grounds her

Since I’m currently reading the Jurgens run, an obvious feature of it is Thor’s very elaborate speech. I’m personally a fan of this, because it gives his dialogue a very quirky nature, and I always love turning a page to get a hearty “I SAY THEE NAY!”
I’ve also seen his speech be far more toned down and grounded, and that could probably be explained by his time on earth making him adapt to modern human speech. Which do y’all prefer?

I do not read that many broad Marvel stories, and my experience with Thor comics is largely his modern stories, with the only one i actively read as it came out is Immortal Thor and the on-going extensions after.
From my limited familiarity, it seems to me that magic is not really on the same field as science, but rather is a fundamental opposite to it, with exceptional people like Doctor Doom being able to bridge that gap between them for advanced abilities like his method of time travel that, if memory serves, because it is both magical and scientific, actually can change the timeline and not just create new ones.
i often see people asserting that the Sky-Pantheons of DC (Non Celestials, non Demiurge created Elder Gods) are just advanced aliens, not gods. But Ewing seems to lean very hard on them fundamentally being a different kind of entity than an alien, even down to their fundamental nature being malleable by effecting the story they stem from. Is that consistent with most other Thor stories?

I don't really dig Valkyrie and Thor isn't a title so but this suit and era was too peak so maybe there should just be a whole new identity.
