UK If I was a faithful, this person would be looking very faithful to me right now Spoiler

Romesh has done a lot of talking this episode about his friend Rob being voted off, and I think he has a confidence in making jokes and talking about it that would be very hard to do if feeling guilty about killing him. If I was a faithful, I think this day at breakfast and the round table would have cemented my view that Romesh is definitely a fellow faithful.

UK More fun for Maya from now on? Spoiler

I think Maya’s had a difficult start to the game as a traitor, considering it was just her and Richard and before they even made it to the turret Richard had spoiled the game by revealing himself as a traitor, then when they recruited James they weren’t to know he really didn’t want to be a traitor, and then when Richard was inevitably banished first, they recruited a reluctant Hannah. If Maya was in the turret with people who wanted to be there and had all their marbles, I think she’d have been having more fun, so I’m hoping with the recruitment of Kenny it can start being more what it should be. I kind of think Maya and Kenny + James A is the start that the game should have had originally.

Curious what others think about this.

UK The traitors have a great system going Spoiler

Keep recruiting the faithful with the most heat on them so they get banished. The OGs stay protected. The faithful’s think they’re getting a win.
But in reality they’re just picking off faithful while allowing the faithful to think they’re winning

Why did the traitors choose to kill Rob? It really seemed like it'd be either Leigh Anne or Romesh... Why do you think they chose him?

UK Is Joanne doomed? Spoiler

There was a very brief attack on Joanne at the round table tonight after she insinuated she was present at Rob’s murder yet I think this will be repeatedly brought up in future round tables. In addition to her slip up tonight, Joanne’s fervent defence of Richard E Grant may prove to be her downfall. Personally if I was at the round table and heard what I believed to be Joanne revealing herself I know I would be voting her out immediately. I feel like the celebs brushed over what was actually quite suspicious far too quickly, I am quite confident this will get brought up a lot later in the show as it seems to be an honest slip up, much like Richard’s. What are your thoughts?

UK Walked past the BBC's mural this morning and it says there has been '14 betrayals' during the show and i'm absolutely stumped?? Any theories on what this could mean? Spoiler

I've spent all morning trying to figure out - none of the votes have totalled 14 so far, it isn't the number of faithful remaining, I just can't figure out what they mean by this? Could it be a secret role maybe??? I found pictures of when it first got put up and it started on 0, so it has been updated as the series has been going on...

UK Hannah between a rock and a hard place Spoiler

Naturally lots and lots of discussion of what Hannah should or should not have done and fair enough.

But ultimately, if she has turned down recruitment or not, told the faithful about recruitment or not she would have been gone soon anyway.

Regardless of if her academic intelligence translated to the game, she's too much of a threat. Traitors kill her for suspected threat to them or faithful banish her because why haven't the traitors killed this threat yet?

Maybe you can ride the scape goat excuse for a while but not when numbers dwindle.

Any other thoughts on how she could have gotten further welcome

And a question: in the civvy traitors, is there ANY advantage to confessing you're "smart" be that academically or in a field related to logic or crime?

The only reason I can think is as a last ditch attempt to save your skin at the round table.

Australia Just finished Australia season 2. Spoiler

This season was beyond entertaining. And I don't know if this is a hot take or not, but Sam is the best traitor across all seasons of traitors that I've seen. Granted, I've only watched USA, Canada 1 and 3 and UK. I can't believe that ending either. Im trying to figure out what else Sam could have done to make the ending go his way.

UK What I don’t understand about the “don’t banish the known traitor” tactic

On The Rest is Entertainment they were bandying about a recurring tactic I’ve heard on there and here and elsewhere. If you have a known traitor, don’t banish them because they’ll just recruit an unknown. What’s the alternative? Shoot randomly elsewhere and either banish a faithful, surely less helpful than banishing a known traitor, or by chance banish a different traitor, in which case they’ll still recruit a new traitor and you’re back to the same square you’d be at if you’d just banished the known traitor. Maybe I’m missing something?

I know I'm late to the game but Kyra is UNHINGED!! Only halfway through the season but the way she came for Michael John in the conclave shook me! Especially in comparison to the character she played for the first few episodes.

I get the hype for this season and can't wait to watch the rest!!

New Zealand Castle Claremont Home of The Traitors New Zealand S2 and S3 For Sale

Barfoot & Thompson agent Jane Klee says nothing can prepare you for the experience of seeing Castle Claremont in person. The 14-bedroom property was built with the finest granite at the end of the 19th century, taking artisans three years to complete.

“Stone masons and carpenters were sourced from England to come and build this exceptional home, and much of the interior woodwork was imported too. It has stood as a sentinel overlooking the district for 135-plus years - five generations - and will stand for many, many more,” she says in her listing.

The property was one time the residence of Lord Ranfurly as Governor of NZ, but TV fans will recognise it as the backdrop to the second and third seasons of The Traitors NZ (see link to earlier article about the property), hosted at the time by Act Party hopeful Paul Henry.

The current owner, Robert Young, picked it up some 20 years ago for $1.5m, telling OneRoof last year that he decided to buy within 30 minutes of setting foot on the estate.

“I came up the driveway and said to the driver, ‘Wait, I’m having this, I won’t be long’, and I was in and out within half an hour, and that was it – done.”

Over the years, he has hosted weddings, garden parties and vintage car meets at the estate, and run the main home as an Airbnb.

The castle's interior detailing is rich and elegant, with a dazzling array of authentic features and furnishings adorning the rooms. Upstairs there are a total of 10 bedrooms, “three of which are larger than many Auckland apartments and have their own ensuites”.

Nannies and servants have their own quarters. Also on the grounds of the 11.6ha estate are a chapel, a conference hall, two separate two-bedroom units and a forest.

UK Latest ep. banishment and Uncloaked. Spoiler

I am sad that Prof. Fry didn't get to live out her dream of playing faithful like Alan Turing.

I was here for her note book, even if it was to show off. (Seen on Uncloaked, post follow-up show). Her breakdown was so spot on on behaviors on that future traitors need to come up with a wildly new gameplay approach or they'll be doomed.

The man who broke the Enigma code. Prof. Fry was going to be like him. To me that is insane.

UK First time watching Spoiler

This might seem silly but still...

I’m completely new to the franchise this season, and I have a burning question that is driving me slightly insane: Who on earth am I actually supposed to be rooting for here?

Coming in fresh, I expected to naturally align with the "good guys"—the Faithfuls trying to root out the evil among them, working together for justice, etc. But three episodes in, I find myself sitting on the sofa screaming at the TV for the Traitors, completely hoping they get away with absolute murder at the Round Table.

Honestly, watching the Faithfuls operate right now feels like watching a badly managed corporate board meeting where everyone is randomly throwing coworkers under the bus based on eye-twitch vibes and bad body language. How could they throw Julie out?! The most trustworthy of all, and not catch on to Hannah? Half of them are playing detective with the structural analytical skills of someone trying to read tea leaves while blindfolded.

Meanwhile, the Traitors are out here executing tactical masterclasses with the precision of a high-stakes heist movie.

Is this normal for first-time viewers? Are we supposed to want the Faithful to win, or has the show successfully turned all of us into cold-blooded villain sympathizers? Please tell me I'm not alone in wanting the Traitors to take the whole pot.

UK My predictions for winner of celebrity series 2 (as of episode 5) Spoiler

Post image
5 Upvotes

Rob was in possibilities, although I expected him to get murdered, I thought if he survived he could make it to the end. Hannah was in ALMOST zero chance.

Kenny moves up from contenders to favourites. I think he will be a good traitor, if he keeps the right people to the end.

Sharon moves up from contenders to favourites. She is under zero pressure and hasn’t been leading any of the traitors, but she still has a brain.

Joanne moves down from possibilities to unlikely. I think either her or Ross will be voted out next, but probably Joanne first, with her being stupid AND her slip up at the round table.

anyone you disagree with? Please comment!

US I got a question Spoiler

• Upvotes

Are the ppl just dumb? I'm finished season two right now and somehow they talk themselves out of a traitor every episode. I know as the viewer I have more information and all, but even if I wasn't, some of the things seem super obvious. Maks mentioned it super early that they're just going with a herd mentality without thinking it through.

I'm just baffled how badly they mess up when it's really obvious.

UK This has been a great sequel to the first celebrity traitors

Not many sequels are successful in the movie industry...off the top of my head terminator and godfather 2...maybe toy story 3.

For a sequel to be successful it has to have some core principles of the first one. But then deviations as well, otherwise you are just repeating the same script.

Imo this traitors has this. As a non traitors fan (only saw celebrity1), I never saw recruitment.

Also the standard been excellent. Bar Richard e Grant gate, it's like a heat movie/fugitive with Tommy Lee Jones.

I was sceptic, it been a sucess in my eyes. It's certainly original compared to the first.

UK Would this have worked? (Hide and seek)

A genius move from the traitors would have been, putting all 3 of them in the hide and seek game with one faithful.. Let that faithful have the key and try murder the said faithful.
This would in turn, leave each of the players in hide and seek looking like faithfuls, as if there was a traitor amongst them, they would have known not try to murder someone with a key as protection..

All 3 traitors would have then been heavily considered as faithful
