Hey guys! Back with my confessional count after episode 6 of new blood.
I think it’s about halfway through season assuming it’s 11-12 episodes so we def have some purpled ass people dude like I legit don’t know who Shane, Wyatt, Abbey B and even and Mark and Ben are lmao. There’s always purpled ppl but the fact that the episodes are 42 min makes it much worse. Even the traitors counts, usually the traitors have almost more than double this up to this point!
Still enjoying the season despite the cliffhangers and terrible episode 5 lol

Not sure if it’s been said yet but I feel like this season hasn’t been as well received partially due to the shortened episodes. 42 mins instead of the usual 60-70 min episodes really hasn’t helped the audience to connect to these players. That paired with the horrible editing and strange cliffhangers they’ve been doing has made this season tough to watch. That being said I will still be watching the rest of the season, but I hope they go back to hour episodes.

I cannot believe Joe just confessed right before they announced it was her!

I have Sony Smart TV. I also have an indoor antenna. I live in California. How come NBC is not available to watch? I wanted to watch the latest episode today, on Thursday. I am able to watch ABC and CBS this way and some other random channels, like PBS. Is it because the signal is not strong? Is the only other solution to watch the episodes on Thursdays is to upgrade the Peacock? Thank you for any info! :)

It was hard to see this Faithful get “murdered”, but this person’s emotions spiraled, and one of the Traitors was right to go after this person.

i know people may not care, but i’m interested to see if my method would have worked / would have put me in the spotlight.
in the kitchen: ask for someone to toss you an apple. you say “actually can you grab me a (insert different color) apple” and toss it back.
besides the fact that i’m allergic to apples, i feel like this may work.
what would you all have done to secure the kill??

The dust from apple-gate has barely settled, and we’re right back at it. Round Table suspicions are boiling over, breakfast paranoia is reaching an all-time high, and the cloaked figures in the turret are getting bolder by the hour. (even if they cant do a MIPS to save thier lives)
It’s Traitors night, which means your official Week 4 ScriptLess roster lock is fast approaching!

What do you guys think about Jay's strategy to win the game? He is soooo annoying, but I think he is good at deflecting to others. I think his strategy is good, but he did it too much for it to work well. I think he will be gone in the next few eps.

I thought that in the opening episode, Sherry opened a letter that said "you are a traitor," but then she got banished and said she was a faithful? Did anyone else see that? What do folks think is happening here?
Edit: answer is in the comments! The letter she was holding asked her what role she wanted to have, and she checked traitor.

Dan Gheesling was a traitor on season 2 of the U.S. version of The Traitors. Dan was one of two Big Brother representatives on that season, alongside Janelle. They are two of the biggest and most well-known legends in the Big Brother world, so it was a huge moment in the Big Brother community when they learned that these two uber popular fan favorite reality TV stars were crossing into the Traitors world. Dan worked alongside the other traitors of his season, Phaedra Parks and Parvati Shallow. The interrelationships between the various traitors of this season was fascinating, dynamic and led to dramatic television moments. While he had a close bond with Parvati, his relationship with Phaedra was tense and eventually fractured. The conflict between Dan and Phaedra led to division amongst participants on the show, as well as amongst ardent Traitors fans.

I'm going to New York, I'm a big Traitors fan. I just saw this, does anyone know about it? It looks great.

What are your thoughts on her gameplay so far?
I think she has implemented the correct faithful strategy so far in the sense that she has tried to build up trust with people and has decided to lay pretty low and not be too forthcoming about her theories and observations.
I think she has a big role further down the line because she has not got much screentime, if the faithful win this season I can see Abbey being one of the winners. Nobody thinks she is a traitor and I don't think the traitors see her as a threat.

I know we only saw "Joe's Edit" of what happened, but he so botched this whole murder in plain sight. Storming around with the apple when he never eats fruit (though his defense SHOULD be "I ate the apple!" when they do point it out, and they will) asking for specific potential victims, pulling Katie aside when she has already been on people's tongues. Throw the apple at whatshername was so random in a room full of people. It COULD save him that he ate it, and he needs to point that out!
1) They should have all 3 been pointing out red herrings all night. People were talking about the possibility of a Murder in Plain Sight, they should have been creating other clues to distract from the apple. Spill some wine and ask who did that? Point out that someone said or did something weird (even if they didn't), etc. Create distraction and random "possible" clues!
2) Joe should have waited for a one-on-one situation. HE was a "potential victim" as well, so he should have talked one on one with someone about being worried, then said "Naw, we've got this! and in a 'bro' move toss the apple to them. No witnesses, natural interaction.
3) Katie should have spoke up at the funeral about ANYONE other than one of the traitors, but she praised Joe. SMH.
I know it's easy to say being on this end of the game, but seriously. Use your brains, guys!
Thoughts? And who do we think it was? My bet is on Clyde.

I think Wyatt is going to have a big role later down the line
He is not getting too much screentime because he is going to last long in my view
Of all the castmates, he has commented on social media the most, especially in the first week where he is saying 'Can't wait for you watch us' and I don't think he has missed a single traitors related post
My guess is he gets recruited and he was the traitor Alan was talking about when Alan was discussing who his favourite traitor was from this season. I think this because Alan said 'you would not believe how devious this traitor was' - and we havent seen anything extremely devious from any one of Tomica, Joe and Katie as of yet, they all have each other's backs.

Would a traitor be able to perform a murder in plain sight task on a traitor, who then passes it on to another faithful?
Like if a traitor tossed an apple to another traitor, who tosses it to a faithful, does the murder still count? Could the traitors then play it off as a game within a larger group and only the first faithful to touch it is “poisoned”?

It's incredibly surreal to me that the massive mainstream boom of competition based reality TV shows started more than 25 years ago. Season 1 of Survivor vs Survivor today are so different. But I remember watching some of the first seasons of these types of shows.
Season 1 of The Traitors was fun and I found it interesting because of the dynamic of having real people mixed in alongside reality show competitors. It gave the show a lot of heart. You have one group of people who are so familiar with televised back stabbing, competition, and/or drama and then this new group that are just normal people going about their lives. Maybe they'll dive into the world of Reality TV, but up until this point they're everyday people with everyday jobs. Their authenticity comes through.
I've honestly found the past few seasons up until Season 5 to just be...fine. It's drama and all the stuff the network execs want for ratings. It's fine for background noise, but as someone who loves social deduction games, honestly The Traitors isn't great and watching reality competitors lie, cheat, backstab, and do the same things they've been doing since 2000 just isn't anything new. At least with that first season, there were people who really didn't know what to expect in a way.
This season...this season I'm absolutely loving. It feels so authentic. Joe is killing it, I think Tomica is really only sort of suspected by one person but comes off as incredibly trustworthy, poor Katie is absolutely in the crosshairs and on the verge of breaking down. They're all playing this game but they're all also just genuine about the fact that they do care about these other people and it's a weird and difficult balance. But it's also a lot of money. And the Faithfuls I think are really making solid and smart attempts, even if they're wrong. This is the type of game where you have to make your own logic. The fact that these aren't seasoned actors or tv gameshow contestants makes it so much more of an interesting watch. The editing is horrible and I'm finding it much more slow paced than the other seasons, and some other things, but overall I've enjoyed the civilian contestant gameplay so much more than the celebrity only.

Watched the first couple episodes of new blood and basically everyone is from North East or South with a couple midwesterners mixed in.
Maybe I just haven't been paying attention but I think I only saw 1 person from the west coast and she was banished night 1. Am I totally off base here or is it really that big of a difference for travel costs?

Let's face it, this game is not well designed. It's great TV. Good for drama, but from a design perspective, there are A LOT of problem. The murder in plain sight on this season was very difficult to accomplish without looking suspicious. Especially since MIPS has basically become a guaranteed part in the game, everyone has their eyes out for suspicious behavior.
So my strategy would be, don't do it. If i'm a traitor, i'll just take the L that night and not get to kill anyone. It's basically the same as accidentally picking someone who had a shield, nobody dies. It's not worth the risk to expose yourself just to get one kill.
There is a possibility that there were consequences if the Traitors didn't succeed, any maybe they just didn't cover it in the show. Though, not getting to kill is in an of itself a consequence. I realize that simply not interacting with a challenge is just bad TV, but if I'm trying to win, I don't care.

A Traitor or Faithful?
