I don't know it's ok to post but I don't know where to so.

I absolutely adore the Nyla/Lopez duo, however I would love to get more solos Nyla. As a viewer, I feel short of any tangible development of Nyla beyond her relationship issues with James. He is not a favorite of mine but I think it’s very disappointing that her character arcs have been so sidelined in recent seasons.
(If you don’t have the ability to think critically pls do not comment 😭)

Hi guys,
So I was rewatching The Rookie recently and I have a different feeling about the Chenford breakup in s6. Like when I first watched when it came out I was super bummed. I had been watching since s2 so the whole slow burn had got to me and I was legit so happy when they finally got together in s5. But on rewatch the breakup just felt like a half baked plot. So hear me out, after Tim and Lucy get together in s5 we see them all in love and happy together. Granted there were some issues regarding Lucy going undercover but they got through them and were actually going strong. Then they introduce the whole Ray Watkins storyline out of the blue and now Tim is so agonised that he breaks up with the woman he loves so much over something that happened years ago. It just didn’t sit right with me. Isn’t Tim the protector(even his mom says so) so why would he intentionally hurt Lucy who is innocent in all this? If they really like really wanted to breakup the couple I believe Lucy should have broken up with Tim. She could have said that he is emotionally guarded and doesnt communicate with her and what not. Then it would have made sense for Tim to work on himself in therapy and then them getting back together. I feel like the writers just wanted to keep the fandom anticipating like a will they won’t they situation. The fans were happy that their favourite couple finally got together so the writers broke them up so the fans were still waiting for them to get back together.
Anyways that’s my rambling about the whole Chenford breakup. Let me know if this makes sense or any other opinions you might have.

The writing on this show isn't top class and I like this show as casual viewing rather than a top TV show. However....
The writing for the Argentina stuff in Season 6 is SO BAD it feels like a parody of The Rookie even though it isn't.

Been rewatching The Rookie and I think I’ve finally had to put Lucy in the worst character category.
The first few seasons I actually didn’t mind her, but from around S5 onwards I’ve found her character increasingly annoying. By S7, I’m honestly struggling to enjoy any of her storylines.
And the whole Seth situation? I put a lot of that on Lucy and Wade. Giving someone with no TO training a brand-new rookie was asking for trouble. I don’t really understand how that decision was supposed to work out well for anyone.
At this point, I’d genuinely rather watch Doug or Smitty. They’re arguably more interesting characters to me, and at least their scenes can be entertaining or interesting without constantly irritating me 😂
I know I’m definitely not the only one who feels this way either. I’ve seen quite a few people say the same thing, so I’m curious what everyone else thinks.
