Meta No 'Groomer' Rhetoric

As an adult survivor of childhood sexual assault, believe me when I say this subject hits pretty close to home. There has been an absolutely revolting trend recently amongst right-leaning folks to claim that members of the LGBTQ community are pedophiles -- and moreover that they are trying to groom children to be willing participants in pedophilic relationships. Possibly because of the question about how to support trans teens as they struggle through an incredibly difficult time in life.

The trend I describe here is a coldhearted and cynical attempt to turn public perception against our fellow citizens. I do not think that the majority of those screaming "GROOMERS" at gay bars or Pride events actually believe this shit. I think the ringleaders are mostly obvious trolls. Their followers, however... Those are another matter.

Given the spate of political violence carried out in this country against members of various minorities by right wing extremists within the past handful of years, it is absolutely not alarmist to be concerned. Specifically: I do not think that it is at all unreasonable to be concerned that the anti-gay "groomer" rhetoric will inspire right wing extremist violence against members of the LGBTQ community.

I really could not care if anyone complains this is against "free speech" or not. You are more than welcome to join the reprobates on one of the other freewheeling subreddits that collected the dross of FatPeopleHate and The_Donald when they both got banned.

If you see "Groomer" rhetoric, report it. I've already removed & banned at least one user.

EDIT: Banned 3, now. One even tried to Sea Lion me afterwards in chat.

If anyone needs additional corroboration that the Republican Party is waging an all-out offensive on the LGBTQ community, you can read this post on /r/Keep_Track.

Marsha Marsha Marsha #13 - Russia Russia Russia

Senator Blackburn

It wasn't a hoax before and it sure isn't a hoax this time. Trump's "deal" to buy Russian diesel is in violation of previous US Congressional sanctions including the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026 ! Where do you stand ?

To be clear - Trump is giving aid to Putin (and Russia) - Putin (and Russia) are giving aid to Iran - We are at war with Iran. Is this treason? If not, it's really realy close ! At least 6 of your Republican Senate colleagues have signed a letter condemning Trump diesel "deal". Again, where do you stand?

Not happy in Tennessee.

Marsha's latest interview

Marsha was interviewed by Main Street Media of Tennessee, published today.

https://mainstreetmediatn.com/articles/cheathamcountyexchange/main-street-media-of-tennessee-interviews-sen-marsha-blackburn-ahead-of-midterm-election/

Among her gems:

In reply to a question about if she would support permanently repealing the state’s 4 percent grocery tax, which generates approximately $800 million annually, Blackburn proposed a “reset” or “DOGE” approach to see what could be cut from the state budget. “The goal is to put more money in the pocket of Tennesseans. The goal is to have the lowest tax rate in the entire country in our state,” Blackburn responded before proposing to give the state budget a “GLP or “government lessening plan.”

“We should say we are going to be No. 1 in these things and we’re not going to stop until we can figure out how to do that. We should be the freest state in the United States.”

And that her time is better spent where they are “going to get the most results” instead of debating her opponents.

Marsha Marsha Marsha #12 - Turning TN from blue and green to brown!

Senator Blackburn,

Every few weeks over the past 18 months I read about another change (Executive Order or EPA Ruling or TN legislative action) to environmental laws meant to protect our Tennessee environment and it's people. To my knowledge, you have remained silent(or fully supportive and complicit) on all of these measures. While some of these regulations/laws clearly required change/modifications, the complete revocation/elimination of these laws only serves big business. Not the people of Tennessee!

Globally, in the United States, and in Tennessee, Climate Change - It's Real. Please don't turn your back on Tennessee for the sake of few dollars!

Fighting in Franklin for Tennessee for Clean Air and Water

Couldn't remember all the crazy actions you supported, so I got some help from Google! Here are a few:

United States

  • Repealed the Greenhouse Gas Endangerment Finding: The EPA revoked the landmark 2009 Obama-era Endangerment Finding. This eliminates the legal foundation under the Clean Air Act that required the federal government to regulate carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. [1, 2, 3, 4]
  • Eliminated Vehicle Emission Standards: Following the Endangerment Finding repeal, the administration eliminated all federal greenhouse gas emission standards and compliance rules for vehicles spanning model years 2012 to 2027 and beyond. [1]
  • Repealed Power Plant Methane and Carbon Limits: The EPA formally repealed Biden-era rules that required coal- and gas-fired power plants to utilize carbon capture technologies or significantly reduce greenhouse gases. Additionally, the administration announced it would stop enforcing oil and gas methane capture rules. [1, 2, 3, 4]
  • Weakened Air and Toxic Regulations: The EPA rolled back portions of the Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (MATS) and loosened requirements on Particulate Matter (soot) and hazardous air pollutants to relieve burdens on manufacturing and coal industries. [1, 2, 3]
  • Restricted State Clean Water Act Authority: The EPA proposed a rule limiting the authority of individual states to block major infrastructure projects (like pipelines) under Section 401 of the Clean Water Act. [1]
  • Proposed Rescission of PFAS Drinking Water Rules: In mid-2026, the US EPA issued a proposed rulemaking to rescind and reformulate strict maximum contaminant limits previously set for several PFAS ("forever chemicals"), including PFHxS, PFNA, and GenX chemicals, arguing the previous framework failed to properly follow Safe Drinking Water Act procedural requirements. [1]
  • Weakened Restrictions on Atrazine and Dicamba: The federal administration weakened environmental and runoff protections for atrazine (a widely used herbicide associated with water contamination) and dicamba, making it easier for agricultural operations to apply these chemicals over larger areas. [1]
  • Paraquat Restrictions Dropped: Following a formal reassessment of paraquat—a highly toxic herbicide linked by some medical studies to Parkinson's disease—the EPA declined to implement newly proposed safety restrictions or phase-outs. [1]
  • Elimination of USDA Pesticide Recordkeeping: The administration moved to cut back structural data requirements, eliminating specific USDA pesticide recordkeeping rules previously mandatory for agricultural chemical tracking. [1]

Tennessee State

  • Dismantled Protections for "Isolated" Wetlands: Following the U.S. Supreme Court’s Sackett ruling, Governor Bill Lee signed SB 670 into law, stripping protections from state-level "isolated" wetlands. Developers can now alter up to one acre of low-quality wetlands or a quarter-acre of moderate-quality wetlands with zero regulatory oversight, notice, or required mitigation. Furthermore, the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) is prohibited from counting isolated wetlands in cumulative environmental impact assessments. [1]
  • Fast-Tracked Wetland Boundary Approvals: Under the new state laws, if a developer submits a wetland inventory report drafted by a third-party consultant and TDEC does not explicitly challenge it within 30 days, the report is automatically presumed legally correct. [1, 2]
  • Loosened Contaminated Soil Rules for Redevelopment: The Tennessee Underground Storage Tanks and Solid Waste Disposal Control Board enacted new rules that exempt soils at designated brownfield sites from traditional solid-waste disposal regulations. This allows developers to move and reuse contaminated soil across construction sites with significantly reduced oversight. [1, 2]
  • Defunded State Environmental Support: As short-term federal grants expired, the state's budget for tracking, auditing, and executing environmental inspections dropped dramatically. [1, 2]
  • The Fight Over "Failure to Warn" Pesticide Immunity: In 2025 and early 2026, a fierce legislative push surrounded HB 809 / SB 527. Backed by the agricultural lobby and chemical manufacturers like Bayer, the bill aimed to grant complete civil immunity to pesticide manufacturers against health-related lawsuits (such as Roundup cancer claims). It proposed that having an EPA-approved label serves as a complete defense against state law liability. While the Tennessee Senate passed it, the bill ultimately died in the House Judiciary Committee in early 2026 due to public health pushback, though the federal government and several other states continue pushing identical immunity frameworks. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]
  • Exempting Contaminated Soil from Disposal Rules: As part of the state’s broader push to accelerate commercial development, the Tennessee Underground Storage Tanks and Solid Waste Disposal Control Board enacted rules allowing brownfield soils contaminated with industrial chemicals to bypass traditional solid-waste disposal regulations, allowing them to be moved and reused across construction sites with minimal state oversight.

Tennessee Governor Debate

It seems with Marsha refusing to debate we will not get an opportunity to hear any of the candidates debate about the issues. They all claim they are going to do the same thing but I want to hear their ideas of HOW they plan to do the things they say they will do. Is there anyway voters can ‘demand’ a debate?

Marsha Marsha Marsha #11 - Waste, Fraud and Abuse

Senator Blackburn,

I thought Trump was shooting for less "Waste Fraud and Abuse" ! - Nope, it looks like more is always better for Trump, so the new mantra is "More Waste, Fraud and Abuse" ? Although to be honest, much what Trump is doing is more likely "corruption" . Do you agree?

Will you follow your support of Trump in Tennessee with "More Waste Fraud and Abuse" ?

Oh my in Tennessee!

What an insult to Baker, his legacy and to the (until recently?) great state of Tennessee.

Marsha Marsha Marsha #10 - Jack Smith Testimony

Senator Blackburn,

In the past, I believe you have supported:

  • DOJ Referral -Urging a referral of Jack Smith to the Department of Justice’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR)
  • Disbarment Push - Lawmakers have actively pushed for findings from OPR to be forwarded to state bar associations in Tennessee and New York to pursue disciplinary action and potential disbarment for alleged professional misconduct.
  • Congressional Hearings: Pushed for Senate hearings into the Special Council investigations of Donald Trump.

Well, yesterday you got your wish - Senate hearings into Jack Smith. Your esteemed Senate colleagues, John Kennedy and Eric Schmitt, fell down a rabitt hole trying to connect Jack Smith with Fani Willis at an Atlanta Hawks basketball game. In the real world, Jack Smith was at a Iowa Hawkeyes/Maryland Terrapins game. And has never spoken with Fani Willis!

Initially, I laughed out loud watching Kennedy and Schmitt being corrected by Senator Amy Klobuchar and the facts! Then, embarrasment and sadness that Donald Trump has so divided this country to allow this to happen. I encourage you to watch the entire hearing instead of the Fox clips.

What will Governor Blackburn do? Divide Tennessee or unite it?

Dissappointed again in Franklin
