nashvillesymphony.org$10 for any classical concert, $20 for anything else. A lot of stuff on the schedule I'm looking forward to, including The Music of Studio Ghibli. Just getting this out there to support the cause. The orchestra is playing at a very high level and it's very much come as you are.

Help | Advice Found cat/no chip
Moved into a new house and this baby came with the porch I guess? Took him to the vet & no chip/not fixed. Posted him everywhere/Skippy Lou/ FB pages and no one claimed. I love him so so much. Where can I take him for low cost vaccines and neuter? I would like to get his health all sorted out before bringing him inside with my other cat. He always bolts for my front door so I think he may want to come live that good indoor life!

Politics Early voting continues today - vote any any early voting location from 8am-7pm today, 10/15.
Full list of times and locations for early voting here: https://www.nashville.gov/departments/elections/voters/find-early-voting-information
Remember, you can vote at any early voting location during this period. On election day, you are restricted to just your designated polling place.
What's up for election this year? Find our sample ballot here: https://www.nashville.gov/departments/elections/voters/find-2026-election-information
Many critically important local elections are happening, including our governor's race, US house and senate, state house and senate, amendments, and more. I recently heard someone say "The further down the ballot you go, the closer you get to your own front door." and damn if that's isn't the truth!
I was in and out of my early voting location yesterday within 5 minutes door to door. Don't forget to take your valid state or federal ID!

Discussion Magic The Gathering @ Yazoo
I know there’s a group that used to get together there every other Saturday, is that still a thing? If it is, is it this Saturday? If not, who wants to play some EDH at Yazoo while it’s still in its currently glory. Got a couple friends new to playing that want to get more play in without it being sanctioned events like at TNLG.

Music | Venues And yet another post about The Truth
I wish the discourse around The Truth made more sense to me.
Of course it sounds good in there. Of course it’s a beautiful venue. Of course amazing artists are going to play there. They want you to go!
They spent a lot of money on it so it fucking better be awesome.
It’s a billion dollar corporation with a literal monopoly on the music industry and it’s killing independent venues.
At some point artists have to choose to opt out of these mob style tactics Live Nation calls business.
And as consumers it’s impossible to ask us to opt out because…life’s hard enough and sometimes you just want to see a band you like between your soul sucking job and death. It’s not your fault.
But please for the love of god, for every ticket you buy for a show at The Truth- go to an independent venue for 1/2 the price or LESS.
Your choices matter, so please support local music as much as you can!!!

Help | Advice Cheekwood Holiday Lights Mansion First Route?
I’m taking some people to Cheekwood to see the lights in December. My plan was to get there 5 ish, tour the mansion, it’ll be full dark by 6, and then walk in the gardens and slope off to dinner. Is this feasible? Is the path for the lights one-way? Any other advice?
