Opinion / Advice Did my tech mess my tattoo up
This is my first session 40 days later, I’m not sure if it’s normal or if my tech burned me. I’m too worried it will scar.
Any advice?

I know everybody on here says removal is obviously the best route. Most of these tattoos are from when I was a teenager, I regret them, a lot of them either have no meaning or meaning to something in my past I do not wish to bring with me as I get older. I just don’t feel like spending thousands of dollars to remove them though, and from what I’ve read it takes many years to get them fully removed. I have a tattoo gun, with ink, and was thinking about just blacking out my hand and fingers myself, since it’s cheaper. Any advice or opinions on the matter would be very appreciated, thank you in advance.

This is roughly 2 hours after my 3rd or 4th session. The tech seemed to be in somewhat of a hurry and missed a couple spots on the plane, but that’s okay. 🥲 I have had redness similar to this previously, but not this bad. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Got my first tattoo impulsively about a month ago and now I full on regret it. I’m 18 and have been hiding it from my parents since I got it and well I don’t feel so great lying to them everyday, I just feel extremely guilty because I went behind their backs after being told no several times and got it. Now I have to deal with the consequences of my actions and learned a pricey lesson. That being said since the tattoo is about a month old and hasn’t had the best healing process either. What would y’all do going about the removal of this?

Repost because someone let me know I accidentally posted a picture with my camera roll in it 🤦🏼♀️ so much for wanting to be unidentifiable LOL.
Progress after 2 sessions though! First two pics are from a few hours after the first session (8/5) and the last two are from yesterday, with my last session being on 10/1.

Obviously I’m removing the whole chest piece.1st pic is before any session, second is after 1 full chest session followed by another session of only the left side(hence the left side being lighter than the right). I can barely handle the pain tho and constantly ask her to stop. I ice before, and use numbing cream. Should I take some shots I mean god damn 😂

I’ve been on this sub for a few weeks now, and I just wanted to say how much I appreciate this community. Everyone is so supportive, and it makes me feel so much less alone in how I feel about my tattoo. I haven’t started my removal journey yet, but seeing everyone’s progress has given me sooo much hope!
I just wish I’d found this sub before getting my cover-up.
I originally went to a tattoo studio for a cover-up consultation, and they suggested this massive blast-over that wasn’t me AT ALL. They pressured me so much that I actually started crying.
I’d asked about laser removal to lighten my old tattoo, but they told me that laser doesn’t really work and was just a waste of money. So I thought it wasn’t even an option.
Now I know my old tattoo would’ve probably been relatively easy to remove since it was just black ink with lots of shading.
Instead, I ended up getting this huge-ass cover-up from another artist with around 40k Instagram followers whose work, including cover-ups, looked amazing.
What pisses me off the most is that he even blacked out areas where there was perfectly untouched skin. Some parts look so sloppy, and I’m honestly just so unhappy with the result.
The tattoo covers my entire lower arm, and honestly, I feel so ashamed of it. I’m usually a really confident person. I like my body, my hair, my skin, and who I am as a person, flaws and all. But this fucking tattoo makes me feel so insecure whenever I’m not wearing long sleeves.
It takes up so much space in my head throughout the day, and I hate how much time and energy I waste thinking about it. On top of that, I feel so ashamed of the decisions I made and all the money I’ve wasted. I just wish I could go back and do things differently.
I have so many close friends, and I’m really open with my boyfriend, but somehow I’ve never been able to talk about this with anyone. This is actually the first time I’ve ever shared how I truly feel about it.
Seeing all your removal journeys has made me realize that I’m not stuck with this forever. So thank you all for giving me hope and making me feel a little less alone. ❤️

The fish tattoo was handpoked and it seems to be fading well
The R tattoo doesn't seem to be doing much progress and I'm worried :(((
Also i don't take care of the hand one much mostly cuz it gets exposed to water soap and putting on the ointment is such a hassle cuz it gets washed away anyways plus I also have hyperhydrosis so my hands sweat a lot.
I currently use Silverex heal for the 1st week after session and Cicaplast baume B5+ after that.
Also this is my 3rd session in 3 months, should I space out the next sessions longer?

Three years, 14 sessions through Removery. Before and after. I've posted before with earlier progress pics. The most recent picture is about 6 days after the 14th session. The feeling of watching it disappear is amazing. I feel liberated more and more from this mistake I made when I was 18. Still a while to go, but I remain optimistic.

I have my first session next week and I’m trying to gather everything I need to prepare & recover. For context I’m getting a large trad piece on my arm & elbow removed/lightened. Besides ice packs, Benadryl, and lots of water, what else should I buy to make sure I have a smooth recovery?

Hi, looking for advice. this is my tattoo after 6 sessions and my laser tech said it’s coming along slower than expected. i know there are a number of factors involved but was just wondering if it’s looking like it should or if there’s anything i can do to help it along? just really want it gone now haha and ik it’ll still take probably another year 🥲
first pic is what it was like before any treatment (not the best photo but all i can find)
and second pic is after 6 sessions

7 days after my first session am feeling really hopeful this won’t be a long ride.. we only patch tested the pink rose which to be fair was extremely faded and looks as if it’s oxidised.. my plan if this is the case is to get rid of the majority and have a smaller fine line tattoo to hide what remains. I’ve booked my follow up in 16 weeks, am excited to see how much more this fades before then.

I had 5 sessions with Removery with no oxidation of the yellow and then switched to a closer clinic that used Astanza and this happened. They are trying to tell me it’s temporary part of healing (one week post treatment) but it looks like oxidation to me. I’ll switch back to Removery but frustrated with this development and wondering if I should just get it touched up. Removing this is worse than the original tattoo.
Anyone with experience trying to remove oxidized yellow after it looks like this?
