Luzern Marathon, who's going? What are your goals?

So what are your goals for this year's Luzern marathon?

Which distance are you running?

First time running or do you attend every year?

What would you like to see improved?

Any tips fo other runners?

First time in Luzern Marathon, 7th marathon in total,
running the full distance, target is below 4:30.
My only tip is: It's very easy to get excited by the race and the people around, go faster without planning it and get tired early. Start really slow and keep your HR under control in the first kms. You'll enjoy the race more and most probably will make a better time. (And will have better pictures at the finish).

I am doing the half marathon and would like to go under 2 hours (I am a very average runner so this would be massive for me haha)

Same here. Realistically I think I will finish at around 2:06 or so. Am tempted to push for sub 2hr, but am worried I would just hit the wall sometime during the last couple of kms. So maybe during one of the spring HMs. How long have you been running for?

To be honest, I have only been training for a few weeks this year. I spent quiet a lot of time on my road bike though and did the half marathon in 2:04 last year. So I think there is a chance I can do it but I will suffer haha
I hope it goes well for you, most important part is to have some fun as well :)

similar here, except i’ll be happy with sub 2:10 since i run another half marathon this weekend and know my legs will be a bit sore
