On my last post a comment suggested I look up a video, and no joke that took longer than my attempts to get it. 15min no savestates! :))) *I actually had to do it twice, because the first time I decided to collect the 1-up to be cool, but the 30sec limit didn't show the BLJ... Still cool though.

So, it took me a half hour, to get of these. But I know there's another hangable ceiling under they moat bridge, *Edit I figured it out.

I've been playing Mario 64 since the 90s and have still to this day never been able to get up there (excluding the DS version which provides a cheat).

I used to think the reason getting up there keeps looking so easy in YouTube videos is because they're always clips from Speed Runners or other professional Gamers.

But recently I started watching videos where the entire gimmick was "this perron who never played Mario 64 before plays it for the first time" and somehow they keep easily wall kicking up there on the first try like it's nothing.

So I really am starting to feel like I am uniquely bad at this.

I've won, but at what cost?

I developed this screensaver based on the original JRB room, in fact this is the aquarium immediately on the right.

Tried to recreate the fish movements and the right nostalgic feeling.

The school of fish may seem like it has slightly more fish than the original and you're right because in the original code of the game it should be 15 but there are more in the tanks so I did 20.

What is this texture in HMC?

I've always loved the atmosphere of Inside the Castle Walls from Super Mario 64. So I recently decided to experiment with an orchestral arrangement of it. What started as a simple idea ended up becoming a project with 25 tracks in my DAW, using all kinds of different orchestral instruments!

It was honestly one of the most enjoyable arrangements I've worked on. There's something really special about revisiting these old Nintendo melodies.

My next orchestral arrangement will be Bomb-omb Battlefield. I'll share it here on the sub soon.

I've been playing mario 64 and it's great, but the movement and physics sometimes feel a little off and can make the game feel frustrating. Are there any good movement/physics mod that help adjust it? Something similar to this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErkLuoJ_8qk

For a bit of context the text in the image is from a letter that Someone apparently sent Nintendo back in the day like 1998 and as You can't see they mention a boo sound playing when You kick a Bowser picture. i am almost certain there is not such a thing in the actual game. The thing is is this letter might actually be a real letter and not just some creepypasta thing. In February 2020 the YouTuber SwankyBox Posted a video that includes this letter in it (which is where i got the screenshot.) and if I'm not mistaken this predates the creepypasta conspiracy theories around the game. So what's the deal with this? Swanky has no reason to lie about it. The conspiracy theories likely weren't even a thing then. (QUICK UPDATE: turns out that the image of that letter also appears in an older video by Swanky from May 2019. Yeah the conspiracy theories did not exist then.)
