On my last post a comment suggested I look up a video, and no joke that took longer than my attempts to get it. 15min no savestates! :))) *I actually had to do it twice, because the first time I decided to collect the 1-up to be cool, but the 30sec limit didn't show the BLJ... Still cool though.

So, it took me a half hour, to get of these. But I know there's another hangable ceiling under they moat bridge, and was wondering if that one is possible?

Let me explain because this problem goes back many years. I have my original save file from Super Mario 64 DS where I have collected 149 Stars.

Recently I wanted to replay the game so I can beat it with all 150 stars in one sitting. And I've been working on the game for like the past month. But the problem is I'm stuck again at 149 Stars collected.

The craziest part is that when I look up an online guide like IGN's guide to all the castle secret stars because my game in the pause menu marks that I have 29 Castle secret stars collected so I'm missing one. But when I use the IGN guide to kind of help me cross out which of the Stars I have collected to narrow down which one I'm missing I have collected all of them but my game only marks 149. I'm actually going crazy that even though it's 10 years later I'm still stuck at the same problem my younger self was I only sitting at 149 Stars.

What is going on? I've been making a list of every single star that I've collected as I'm playing in this playthrough and by definition I should have all 30 secret stars but I don't. Am I tweaking? This is now been an ongoing 10 year long problem where the game doesn't give me the last star.

Anyone has some knowledge about it?

I've been playing Mario 64 since the 90s and have still to this day never been able to get up there (excluding the DS version which provides a cheat).

I used to think the reason getting up there keeps looking so easy in YouTube videos is because they're always clips from Speed Runners or other professional Gamers.

But recently I started watching videos where the entire gimmick was "this perron who never played Mario 64 before plays it for the first time" and somehow they keep easily wall kicking up there on the first try like it's nothing.

So I really am starting to feel like I am uniquely bad at this.

I've won, but at what cost?

I developed this screensaver based on the original JRB room, in fact this is the aquarium immediately on the right.

Tried to recreate the fish movements and the right nostalgic feeling.

The school of fish may seem like it has slightly more fish than the original and you're right because in the original code of the game it should be 15 but there are more in the tanks so I did 20.

What is this texture in HMC?

I've always loved the atmosphere of Inside the Castle Walls from Super Mario 64. So I recently decided to experiment with an orchestral arrangement of it. What started as a simple idea ended up becoming a project with 25 tracks in my DAW, using all kinds of different orchestral instruments!

It was honestly one of the most enjoyable arrangements I've worked on. There's something really special about revisiting these old Nintendo melodies.

My next orchestral arrangement will be Bomb-omb Battlefield. I'll share it here on the sub soon.
