Idk how to explain it but this picture perfectly captures their personalities.

Holy fuck. When this show was out, I was balls deep in Better Call Saul so it went under my radar. Wow, what a masterpiece. The final season is amongst the best television I have ever seen. The ending was so unexpected but fit so well into the Roy family dynamic, which is essentially the lanestetrs. I still have The Sopranos as my favorite HBO show but this is definitely 2nd. What a fucking masterpiece.

If he had actually made a strong pitch in the end, would anyone in the meeting have given him the extra vote? Was there anything he could have said or done to convince Shiv to let him be CEO? Or was his fate already sealed?

Context: when stewy told Logan that everyone fucking hates him.

Some of his tender moments felt genuine, which somehow makes his cruelty even worse. What’s your take?

Offering himself to go to prison for the boss is exactly the kind of thing you look for when you want a puppet CEO.
And I think Logan will smart enough to understand what Matson wanted, while shiv wasn't.

I’ve watched all the way up to Connor’s Wedding. Let me know if I ranked any too low or overrated some. Also, I’d be curious to know what episodes I should anticipate for season 4 and whether you think they will drastically change my top 10, without spoilers of course.

Any other die hards for Billy Joel and Succession find themselves preferring Kendall’s version of Honesty? Amazing work by Jeremy Strong.
PS I was team Tom the whole time.

Obviously we know that Waystar is a multi-billion dollar operation, with Logan at the helm on a huge salary with bonuses and his own investments etc. I assume Rome + Ken had salaries when they were in the company, and Shiv would’ve had a salary as a political consultant, plus we can assume they have access to trust funds. But surely that money would have been limited to a point; we know that Connor asks Logan for money in the S2 finale because the costs of Willa’s play, his ranch, and his campaign are squeezing him. But in general the kids seem to have access to an unlimited money tap, even when Ken is not working for Waystar in S3. The massive bid for PGN in S4; Shiv and Tom buy a massive new apartment; Ken throws himself a huge birthday party, plus his lawyer and consultant costs; and they all have constant access to PJs, private cars and drivers, staff, clothes, tech, etc, all the usual trappings of extreme wealth. I guess I’m just curious where the wealth comes from specifically for the kids, as it doesn’t seem like Logan gives regular handouts.

I enjoy this sub. Please don’t let it go the way of [r/sopranos](r/sopranos), [r/madmen](r/madmen), and [r/breakingbad](r/breakingbad) — karma farms for braindead unfunny quote regurgitators.
Okay but you gotta get over it. Quasimodo predicted this. It’s toasted. That’s what the money’s for. Interior decorator. He was gay, Ewan Roy? The pierces, whatever happened there? Progrum, movie, enough already.
Back in the day we had the word “cancer” to describe behaviors like this
Reply to this with a sopranos quote if you’re an updoot-obsessed Redditor with a greasy neckbeard and rotting sense of individuality

At the conservative political conference in S3E6 (where Logan is playing kingmaker after “The Raisin” decides not seek re-election), a rumor that VP Boyer is vegetarian makes the rounds:
Natural Gas Exec: I heard his daughter has made him go vegetarian. Did you hear that?
Logan: No.
Tom Wambsgans: Oh, no. I think I've seen him eat a meatball.
Natural Gas Exec: Nope. Secret herbivore.
Maybe not the deciding factor driving Logan away from him, but it was certainly a strike against him…
Meanwhile, in Texas… Ken Paxton’s campaign had been trying to spread that James Talarico is a “secret vegan” (with Trump amplifying that accusation). Talarico clarified, multiple times, that he’s not a vegan, with his campaign posting multiple photos of him eating meat, including one in which he’s taking a bite out of a turkey leg with a spread of BBQ’d meats in front of him.
The idea that a candidate having a plant based diet could be a source of controversy is pretty absurd, but as it turns out, was depressingly realistic and prescient

James Cromwell is one of my FAVORITE actors. Cromwell as Ewan is just brilliant casting! No one delivers READS …stands up to Logan the way his brother EWAN does … everything out of his mouth is gold every word, sentence to his brother is just legendary!!
I’d put Ewan up to any of the guys I grew up in my old neighborhood in
The “reading room” !! Hilarious

I’m talking about stuff like him insisting on going on that late night show where the host openly loathes him, or his weird birthday party, or him bragging about his time at the Harvard Lampoon (“I was the fucking king at the Lampoon”… sure thing man), etc.
Is this just some desperate attempt at being “hip”, like “hey guys I’m not like the other boring corporate squares”?
Or is there something else going on?
I find it curious since Kendall is obviously desperate for his father’s approval, but Logan would find this type of behavior childish and stupid.
