No one can accidentally ban you without having the power to unban you. VAC bans are automatic and based on various detection systems on specific official game servers, and are not human-given.

More context would be much appreciated. What caused the banned? And where do you received the email? The attached photo in the post does not even look like the offocial Steam page, which bear the question of which app or browser url you used to access your Steam?

Additionally, is your account actually banned or the scammer is claiming that your account got banned?

This is a scam, where the hell are you seeing this? Did you log into some sketchy ass website or is this in your client itself, either way it's a scam

You need to stop. They're telling you to appeal through Discord, which is another clear sign of a scam. Never go off-platform for an appeal.

Did you enter on a third party site using your Steam credentials ? If you did, your login/password is compromised and you should change it asap. Also revoke your API key once you are able to.

For future reference, the only valid places you should use your steam account to log in are the Steam Client, the community hub at https://steamcommunity.com or the store page at https://store.steampowered.com - Always be mindful of people using double R's or M's and Ns to mask a different site instead.

And also, Steam will never "warn" you if they want to ban you. They will just do it and then send you a mail to your registered account telling you why. No other form of contact is valid, and support will absolutely NOT contact you through Discord/Instagram/Twitter/Telegram/Roblox, nor willl they ask you for payment of any kind to recover your account or to transfer items to another account for safekeeping.

If you lost access to your steam account already and are unable to log in through the Steam Client, you will have to contact support directly. Do NOT further engage with the people that is claiming to have accidentally reported/banned you.
