So yeah, as the title says, what are your guys' favorite headcanons of them as a couple?
I have a few of my own, like:
Jean having a Spider-Man plushie in her room at the X-Mansion. That image is seared into my mind until the end of time.
She and Peter sharing a telepathic bond—a way for them to talk and communicate with each other even when they are far apart.
These two are completely clingy with each other when they are together. Given that they’ve both been through so much—and that it’s been a long time since they experienced any kind of genuine affection—after years of solitude, i think they don’t really know how to function in society right away, but is kinda sweet i guess?
I love the idea that, to the X-Men, Peter is just some random, normal guy. To them, he’s just a nice fellow whom Jean met somehow and started dating.
I also like to think that when they get together, they just enjoy the simpler things without much ceremony, because for people like them, it’s the little things that make all the difference.
I like to imagine them talking about the things their loved ones enjoyed doing with them, Peter talking about May, Jean talking about Sara, and genuinely helping each other through their grief, in a more positive light.
Here’s a little look at the future Parker-Grey family, featuring the children who will appear in my upcoming fanfic (which hasn’t been posted yet!). The fanfic will focus on Peter and Jean after BND, with lots and LOTS of things, ranging from their telepathic connection, to the Phoenix, the X-Men, and more... so these (adult) kids will be there... but not really, it's complicated but will makes sense, and I hope you'll enjoy it. 😅
I’m honestly so proud of these fancasts because I feel like they all look incredibly similar to their future parents. I really wanted to find people who could genuinely pass as their kids once adults, and I think I did a pretty good job. But Ben is definitely the one I’m most proud of. He looks so much like Peter, and I can’t get over how well they resemble each other. The resemblance is honestly insane! I hope it's not just me who think so.
What do you guys think of the fancasts? Do you see the resemblance too?
I will post the first chapter soon, and you will discover that these kids and the whole family are really special and powerful... but well, with the parents, how can they not be?
Just a cool little thing I noticed. He has been wearing the "If you believe in telekinesis please raise my hand" T-shirt for a decade now. We first see it in Homecoming when Peter & Ned hack into the Stark suit in their DC hotel. Next, we see it in Far From Home when Nick Fury redirects his trip to Prague. And finally, we see it again at the end of the opening montage of Brand New Day.
Safe to say by the end of BND, he got a lot more proof for telekinesis than his hand bring raised. No one in New York is ever wearing that T-shirt again, they are true believers now alright! Marvel has been playing the long game all along to put Jean Grey in a Spider-Man movie lol.
Also found this old post where the T-shirt scene in Homecoming was being discussed before the movie's release. The top comment was ahead of time :D
Why is the "are you blushing, daffodil?" Scene even mentioned here...
Also, I like how Peter is framed as the villain for the first half of the this, while him entering Jean's room gives it some color after it becomes gray.
After everything, Jean makes one final deeply personal decision.
She decides to leave the Proff. Xavier mansion ( not X-men ) .
She speaks with Cyclops who was now leader of current X men team and tells him.
JEAN : “Whenever your team needs me, I'll be there. I'm not abandoning the X-Men. But right now, I want to live my life with Peter.”
Cyclops understands and agrees with her.
Jean moves to New York and begins living with Peter. She is still an X-Men, and if the team needs her, she will always return.
Along with that, she has chosen to build a life with Peter, the man she loves.
• Final Epilogue —
After living together for around five months, Peter and Jean are walking together in a park.
(Art by @w2rom)
Peter suddenly stops, looking at Jean .
PETER :( with a playful smirk )“I think you need to practice.”
JEAN :(raises an eyebrow, confused.)“Practice what?”
Then, realization hits her. A warm smile spreads across her face.
Jean creates some distance between them. She leans down onto the grass and grab four or five flowers with her bare hands.(Keep in mind she can use her telekinesis but she is not using it .)
She begins slowly walking toward Peter.
The camera tracks her from behind Jean back.
She keeps walking.
The screen cuts to black.
Then—
The next scene is Jean was in wedding dress walking toward Peter with flower bouquet and Peter was also in wedding suit.
That's actually their wedding practise !!!! Peter and Jean are finally getting married.( 😭😭😭 )
The Avengers are there. The X-Men are there. Everyone who has been part of their journey is there to celebrate with them.
They stand before each other at the wedding arch.
Peter takes Jean's left hand, his fingers trembling a little with joy, and slides a simple gold ring onto her finger.
Jean smiles softly. Looking straight into his eyes, she takes Peter’s hand and slides his wedding ring into his fingers.
They don't need any more words.
They share their first kiss as husband and wife—a sweet, quiet kiss that seals decades of pain into a lifetime of peace.
*The entire room erupts into cheers and applause.
The Avengers and the X-Men decide to give them a wedding gift: A Nice Apartment and A New Car.
Peter tries to refuse, but Jean stops him.
JEAN : “This is the first time they are truly acknowledging you, Peter. You should accept it.”
Hearing her words, Peter smiles and finally accepts and says thanks to everyone.
They begin their married life together.
Peter has finally found peace. Jean has finally found control and acceptance of the Phoenix. And Peter Parker and Jean Grey finally get to simply live as themselves.
JEAN (calling out from kitchen) : " Peter , wake up! You have to take our son to school! "
( Peter groans, trying to burying his face into the pillows. )
JEAN : " Peter!!!! I'm not asking a second time! "
PETER : " I already woke up ! "
Peter instantly wakes up alongside he also picking up his son from bed. Within 30 minutes, he has him dressed and ready.
Jean is standing by the counter, packing a fresh lunchbox. She kneels down to eye level with her son , gently sliding the lunchbox into his small backpack and zipping it shut.
JEAN(smiling warmly): Now listen to me. Be a good boy today. No mischief, no running through the halls, and no causing any trouble, okay?
He nods happily.
Jean leans in and presses a sweet kiss against his forehead.
JEAN : " Go have fun, sweetie!!! "
Peter walks outside, starts the car, and drives his son to his first day of class.
A little while later, Peter returns home, letting himself into the apartment. In the bedroom, Jean is sitting comfortably on the mattress, gently cradling their five-month-old baby daughter in her arms.
Peter walks over and sits beside her.
PETER : "You know, Jean... at drop-off today, almost every kid was crying. But not our boy. He just walked right inside with a smile. He’s strong like you."
Jean smiles warmly .
PETER : “And look at our daughter . Her eyes, her hair, her little smile... she looks just like you.”
JEAN : " But she has nature of yours, Peter. I can feel it. "( Jean's eyes glow white. )
Peter smiles with tears in his eyes—Tears of True Happiness !!!
Jean reaches out, wraps her arms around him, and holds him close in the warm, quiet sunlight of their home....
The trailer starts with a brief summary of what happened in Jean's flashback. Sara offers some ice cream, gets captured, thinks about keeping Jean safe. You know the drill.
It then cuts into a montage of Spider-Man discussing his findings with MJ...
MJ: Who is she? Spider-Man: She's classified as a telepath...
While being completely antagonistic towards Jean herself in the foreground.
Spider-Man: Tell me... Who you are! Jean: You can see me...
Especially as it cuts to Peter's beatdown of Mac Gargan, framing him as a brutal enforcer for DODC who will not stop until Jean is defeated.
Jean: You keep getting in my way... Spider-Man: I will always be in your way.
Of course, that segment is cut off as Scorpion gets the upper hand, framing it as if Jean defeated Peter, and all that was left was to address the DODC, in which is framed as if she made her goals abundantly clear, instead of hiding them behind "V-Max" or "The Vault".
Metzger: What do you want? Jean: Where's my sister? Metzger: Who are you? Jean: I'm Jean Grey.
And this is the interesting part: It seems that she got her answer, but didn't like it. Which is why she starts talking about "normal life" to Peter, who seemingly realized his mistake after The Hand decided to attack him for no evident reason.
Jean: People like us don't get to live a normal life. We don't get to have friends, or family. Peter: I'm sorry that I got it so wrong...
Before she decides to attack Metzger again, they finally manage to talk it out, with both Frank and Yelena teasing them about it, and seemingly help them with the plan.
Peter: We can't do this alone... Yelena: Hi! Frank: Are you blushing, daffodil?
And the world goes increasingly gray as Jean declares that she has no one, and where she deviated at some point in the plan to hold Metzger hostage.
Jean: Even if that's true, I have no one...
Until the very exact frame where Peter pops up in the room, trying to convince her not to do it, where she drops her control over the glass shards to stare at him.
Peter: Jean, please... This won't make it right.
Any way, that's kinda funny. Can you imagine an actual Jean Grey movie that plays off exactly like this?
