Listen man I get it, theyre PRIMARIS Marines, theyre gonna be pretty tough but I don't think even a primaris marine can survive fifteen seconds straight of a heavy bolter mag dumping into his face point blank range....

General For the fans of Space Marine 2 who are unfamiliar with the tabletop, which of these Tyranids would you like to see included in the game?

I'm always delighted watching people unfamiliar with Tyranids see the crazy range of potential enemies that could be included in the game, so I thought I'd show off some of the monsters I'd love to see in the game.

For reference, the line up features:

  1. The Haruspex, a creature whose sole purpose is to eat everything it can fit inside its mouth like a giant angry roomba. Its incredibly aggressive and can swallow Space Marines whole.
  2. The Maleceptor. Take a Carnifex, make it 2-3 times bigger, and then give it the same set of powers as a Zoanthrope...and then make them stronger. That's basically a Maleceptor. A fusion of monstrous size and psychic power, its mere presence causes peoples heads to explode from the energy radiating from it.
  3. The Toxicrene. Always surrounded by a cloud of toxic spores, the Toxicrene bathes the battlefield in poison, making it impossible for the enemy to fight in the open, as the toxic spores are also corrosive and will eat through masks, rebreathers and helmets, causing its enemies to dissolve into sludge before you're even in reach of its whip like tendrils.
  4. The Tervigon. It spawns Termagants like a giant walking incubator, and energizes them to fight by driving them into a killing frenzy. Its also extraordinarily resilient and can rip apart tanks and tear down fortress walls in its claws.

At the end I also included a handy size chart for how big these models are on the tabletop. Most of them are about the size of a Mutalith Vortex Beast, and the Tervigon is even larger.

So, which of these sounds most appealing to be featured as a boss in operations mode?

Lore Discussion Why do you call yourself a BT "fan"????? Because of this guy right here.

Call me a BT larper all you want but this Chad is too stubborn to die. When a soldier suggested they abandon Helsreach, that soldiers neck got snapped. Grimaldus is that part of Dorn that is too stubborn to yield even to the very end. There is more to the Black Templars than just racism and "Screw the Codex", and this Chaplain shows it.

What if the new Champion Pack is something like this for heavy? I would love a helmet like this one and a shoulder cape.

Fashion Marine Finished Penance 6 on my Sniper. Used the Lamenter pieces to make my Carcharodons setup look better.

I just wanted to really up the brutal look the Carcharodons pieces already have to them, so I thought using the Lamenters pieces on the body and arms would really up the "Brutal" look I was going for.

Side note I really wish the Sniper had more lower body options. Lack of legs and no waist options kinda makes the lower half pretty boring in comparison.

Would love your guys thoughts!

General Frag cannon is what we need (Boltgun 2 hype)

The frag cannon in the new Boltgun 2 is amazing (so is grav cannon) and we kinda need it in SM2.

I consider myself a heavy main, but he gets very little new weapons (melta rework kinda cool tho), which results in me not playing him as much anymore.

Heavy desperatly needs a new weapon, and the Frag Cannon could be exactly what he needs.

Operations Death Watch Appreciation Post

The best players wear lore-accurate death watch gear. There is no debate. I've been running crucible, and get hard on when both my teammates rock up to the barge in death watch gear because I know the run will end in victory, and they wont rage quit at their first downing.

Death watch is the chapter of the Sigismunds of the game (I know I know, not actually a chapter).

Shout out to you guys who carry through Crucible

Operations Figured out how to complete “Dedicated to Duty” in case anyone is wondering.

Have to complete it in regular siege. Does not work in Chaos Siege. You have to complete wave 25 and complete every side objective in order to progress the ordeal. Easiest way I found to do this was to just load up a private siege match so that you have full control over requisitions. Buy all 3 tech priests on wave one. Don’t buy turrets on the rounds with side objectives until wave 12 so that you have more time to complete them. Buy Cadians every wave. Buy Astartes support as often as you can (heavy is the most effective). Buy the dreadnought every five waves. You’ll have more than enough requisition points if you’re keeping the tech priests active whenever they die or finish their ministrations. Terminus enemies count as side objectives. Going through 25 waves should net you 17 side objectives.

Fashion Marine I realized that I don't really have to stick to any chapter or be lore accurate so I made some marine looks based solely on how cool they look in my opinion.

Product Question Is this game still worth buying?

I’m looking for a game to play for 30–40 minutes at night after a hard day at work. I just want to turn my brain off and enjoy a game while listening to a podcast in the background. Is this the right game for me? Are the servers in Europe dead?

Tip/Guide A quick guide on how Tyranid Warrior Venom Cannon snipers work

Video for reference: https://youtu.be/ePF-9RtYJDk

Seen a few people mis-understanding how the Tyranid Warrior sniper with the Venom Cannon works so I figured I'd make a quick guide. I've linked a video above to showcase what I'm talking about. Most of this should also be applicable to the Chaos Cultist snipers as well.

TL;DR: wait until laser line goes solid, then dodge away from the line.

  1. The first shot in the video demonstrates what happens when you don't dodge or take any other action. The sniper will usually start by aiming at a point away from the player it's targeting before tracking over to the player. The player will get an audio cue that cuts out just before the sniper shoots. The other cue is a visual cue and is usually the more important one; when the laser line goes solid. Once the laser line goes solid, the sniper is ready to shoot will shoot after a delay of about 2 seconds. this delay can be shorter based on enemy enrage, latency issues, or if the enemy is forced to suddenly switch targets. Certain actions can also trigger an early shot.

  2. The second shot demonstrates a basic dodge. When the laser line goes solid, dodging will trigger the shot. The shot will usually fly off to the side at closer ranges but be aware that at longer ranges, the sniper can shoot at your exact position and due to projectile travel time can still hit you after the dodge I-frames. Due to this, it's not recommended to dodge along the line of the sniper shot or across it. Instead, dodge away from the laser line.

  3. The third shot demonstrates that the sniper does not necessarily need to have the line locked onto you for the line to go solid and the sniper to be ready to shoot so don't assume that just because the laser isn't locked onto you that you are safe.

  4. The fourth shot demonstrates something that often trips people up and that's dodging too early. If you dodge before the line goes solid, the sniper will require one more dodge or a delayed second dodge to trigger the shot (or the regular 2 second delay, whichever comes sooner). This is meant to punish players for jumping the gun. If you dodge too early, you will need to dodge another two times or dodge once more after a short delay to trigger the shot.

The final thing to be aware of is enraged snipers. They not only hit harder, but will often shoot twice in a row requiring two dodges back-to-back. Might catch you off-guard at first if you're not used to it, but if you know what to look for, dodging them is just a matter of timing.
