I’m sorry because I’m probably beating a dead horse. Long time photography lover. Most of you would laugh though because it’s all been with iPhone.
I’ve spent the last almost month trying to narrow down my first camera purchase. and it appears the A6700 + Tamron 17-70mm 2.8 lens is a great place to start.
I primarily intend to take pictures of people, cars, and landscapes.
I’m looking at about $2600 out the door, including a 256gb UHS ii sd card and 2 year protection plan included from my Best Buy membership.
I see myself having a lot of important moments in life over the next five-ish years. And love the idea of having much higher quality images of these moments.
I will only buy through Best Buy because of my membership.. I guess my last main question is..
would this be a good camera to learn on?
Ignoring weight am I making a mistake with this lens?
To immediately start using it, would I be good to just put it in an auto mode and start snapping pictures?
A huge use would be putting it on a tripod and setting a 10- second timer to capture pictures of my soon to be fiancé and myself.
Any advice would be appreciated greatly, and yes again I’ve spent way too much time online researching.
Thanks in advance!
