Last photo is from a few days ago but at sunset. Today I wanted to capture that same tree but at sunrise. Unfortunately, some of the leaves have fallen off.

Spent some time getting to know this seasons bear cubs here in Whistler, B.C.
This is the 3rd litter of cubs I’ve got to watch grow up from this same mother and I’m stoked they’re looking healthy heading into their first winter.

Star trails and sunsets are my jam, but Mother Nature hates me this week. Overcast and low clouds. So I decided to go out and shoot some Canadian geese at some local ponds.
Sony A7iv + Tamron 150-500mm. 1/1000 f/6 ISO AUTO (capped at 12800). Ran each RAW through DxO Pure Raw 6 and finished in Pixelmator Pro.
As soon as both gaggles flew off, the sun came out. Go figure. I’m happy with the results. I’m a total noob at wildlife photography, but the challenge is definitely growing on me.
Please feel free to critique and offer advice. 🤙🏽

Sony A6700 + Sigma 18-50 f2.8
r/SonyAlpha • u/Boodoo252 • 11h ago
finally moved to the A7V for sports photography. sold my sigma 17-40 f1.8 and kept some viltrox prime lenses for travel. the sigma was great but at that size it felt like a FF set up (weighs the same as A7v w 24-50 lol)
tbh, this made me realise sensor size doesn’t matter. full frame just has nicer quality of life features like 30fps/pre capture that’s useful for me
if anything, just goes to show how much the a6700 rocks!! but happy to have a dual camera set up now

I hesitate buying this lens before a trip, glad i got it. Great hiking lens, and my 24-70 wouldn’t have been wide enough
Here are some of the wider shots

I've never had an expensive camera or lens before. Can this things break out of nowhere? Anything I should look out before buying it? If something gets damaged are these things repairable or you just have to get a new one?
