I'm 18F, and I have thin skin. Veins are visible through my eyelids, and my skin is prone to dryness. I always try to keep it hydrated, and basically, a moisturizer is the only thing I use right now.
In normal lighting, it looks even worse, and my eyes sometimes look very sunken, which makes me look much older than I actually am. I am worried that it will get much worse with age, and I often hear that "white girls age quicker due to genetics". I would like to know what I can do to maximize prevention of dehydration and thinning of my skin in future/right now

What the title says. Does it look visibly oily and tacky when you touch your face?
Do you blot it daily and/or use powder during the day?
I do mean the glass skin look. I do not mean dehydrated skin that needs hydration, i mean actual oily skin people. And yes, I do use niacinamide serum.
I have been very consistent with my skincare and use products that don’t irritate my skin. I can’t get past the feel of oily/sticky face whatever i do😭
Feel free to give product recommendations or any other tips

20F. My skincare routine (AM + PM):
Cerave Hydrating Cleanser
Anua Azelaic Acid 10+ Hyaluron (just ran out)
First Aid Beauty Hydrating Toner
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream
Also, I typically use Aveeno shower products.
Previously instead of Anua I would use Geek & Gorgous HA 5 Rich. I switched to the Anua one because I have some issues w/ redness, which azeliac acid can help with, but not sure how much (if at all) it actually helped me.
I know I should also have sunscreen in the AM, but ngl I rarely go outside anyway so for now it doesn’t make much of a difference.
Essentially, I used to have some dry skin issues, especially in Winter. I more specifically for about a year would get actual eczema (rather than just dry skin) on my eyelids. These are the reasons why my routine is SO moisturising.
My skin feels hydrated; however, my t-zone ends up getting SO oily. I assume my products may have sent me in the opposite direction, if that’s even possible. What should I do to reduce the oiliness? Do I need to ditch any products?
I also have some products laying around that I already have but don’t use, if this helps. These are the main ones:
The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% (stopped in case it was making my eyes worse)
Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Toner
Q+A Vitamin C Brightening Facial Serum
Super Facialist Vitamin C+ Cleansing Oil
Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask
La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF50+
And just bought Medicube Zero Pore Pad and a random HA undereye roller serum (was curious)
Any suggestions would be great!😅

Hey everyone!
I'm looking for some RECOMMENDATIONS for getting some products together since 40 is around the corner and I want to make sure I'm doing the best for my skin, for my age.
I don't wear sunscreen because I'm mostly indoors 85% of the day.
And when I do go out, I wear sunglasses and a hat, but that's pretty much it.
I'm concerned about laugh lines and some scarring from my time of the month. (Can't use the proper medical term for some reason. 😅)
I currently use cerva moisturizer and that's pretty much it. I usually just wash my face with heavily diluted Dr. Bronners.
But I'm open to trying products that can help me maintain healthy skin! (Especially for scars).
Thank ya for your time. 😊
Attached are two pictures, no filters, in the evening, before showering.

Hello! I'm a 28 (almost 29) year old woman who, until recently, didn't do much more than wash my face with water in the morning. It was one or two years ago I started doing a skincare routine of some sort.
It's a very simple one, and from what I've read sometimes simplicity is best. I try to use vegan products. I honestly don't know my skin type but I assume it's normal: I don't think it's dry nor oily, I never had an issue with my skin, I only have the occasional pimple.
So, here's my routine:
- wash in the morning and afternoon with The Body Shop Seaweed Wash
- exfoliate with The Body Shop Seaweed exfoliator twice per week
- The Body Shop Edelweiss Day Cream in the morning
- The Body Shop Edelweiss Serum, Eye Mask and Night Mask at night
- I was recently offered the CeraVe Retinol Serum, I use it twice per week (instead of The Body Shop Serum)
- Every now and then I use a face mask, but it's quite rare. Currently I have some rice ones I brought from Japan
- I know what you're thinking and yes, I do use sunscream, and also yes, I skip it sometimes even though I know I should wear it always. It's just that I hate the one I have (Avène Fluid Mineral 50+SPF). I also can't spare extra 5-10 minutes between layers in the morning (I need as much sleep as possible). Any tips?
I have no idea if I'm doing things right or wrong. As I said, my skin looks fine, and I feel like most people overdue it these days (not to mention today's growing phobia of getting older and looking like your age). I'm here to see if you have any feedback/opinion/tips, but please be nice and keep in mind that for me, it has to be simple and not too expensive, otherwise it's not feasible!

This is a common irritation spot from me. I have 2 patches under my eyes that occasionally turn red, itchy, and sometimes erupt papules/little zits. Most recently, with cetaphil gentle skin cleanser.
Before cetaphil -> during cetaphil, got even worse than this in 2.5 weeks-> after 6 days without cetaphil.
My question is, what ingredient in such a simple formula could’ve caused this? Did anyone else have this same reaction?
-pic 1: s.nature aqua rice cleansing milk + the 2024 formula of illiyoon ceramide ato concentrate cream.
-pic 2: cetaphil gentle skin cleanser + the 2024 illiyoon.
-pic 3: bioderma sensibio micellar water and no moisturizer, as my illiyoon’s run out, hence the dryness…. but otherwise clearing up with no more itchy bumps.
Trying to use up the cleanser on my body, I also realized that with longer contact time, it started itching and irritated my KP bumps, turning them red for days. I was originally so impressed because the nonfoaming formula was so non-stripping and it’s affordable 😞

Just trying to get the good old reddit advice for under eye bags. I’m in my early 30’s, but honestly it’s strange I’ve never really noticed them about my appearance before but I was looking at my passport photo from nearly 10 years ago and I had them then. so maybe it’s a bit of getting older and a bit of genetics as well.
Anyways I have became extremely self conscious about them, like it’s seriously effecting my mental health and self confidence. Is there anything I can do that’s non invasive (I know lower blepharoplasty is probably the best option). I constantly have a blocked up nose as well so not sure if thats not helping.

What’s a body oil that smells great, feels nice, and moisturizes? But doesn’t contain cocoa. Unfortunately my skin doesn’t agree with it.
I’ve tried Trader Joe’s lemongrass coconut body oil, but I’m not exactly a fan of the smell. It’s not bad it just reminds me of cleaning products. It does the job but not a huge fan of the smell.
It’s such a shame I really like the smell of cacao, but clearly my body doesn’t agree with it. I love anything vanilla based, but I’m open and willing to try anything!
Any suggestions? TIA
