[PC] I played Doom 2016 recently I really loved it and since the halloween sale is coming up whitch game should i get? Wolfenstine 1, Doom Eternal, Dmc5
Ik Doom Eternal might be the obvious choice but i kinda want something a little different from the Doom formula and setting, but im willing to get it if the two games differ enough. As for Dmc 5 i fear it might not be my cup of tea, idk why but i like the premise. That leaves Wolfenstine it was what i was planning to get but i heard it was just as long as Doom. So what should i get yall?

Doom Eternal is an evolution of 2016, it feels very different and there’s a specific playstyle to get into but it’s loads of fun

Doom eternal is totally Different from Doom 2016. I hated Etern as Much as I lived Doom 2016 I would say just get Wolfenstein or whatever you want

Doom Eternal is basically the same as Doom 2016. It's very good though.

Sure, if you're a Doom purist. If you're anyone else you'd see it as a pretty reasonable, natural evolution from 2016 that's pretty similar.
Look, I can go on and on and on about how Halo Reach is a bad game that is meaningfully different and worse than Halo 3 but I'm a Halo purist. I don't expect most people to care, because most people aren't that fussed and think it's pretty similar. There's nothing wrong with that, but we've got to pick our battles

I found Doom Eternal to be a lot of fun. It's definitely a bit different to Doom 2016, but still a really fun game.
But if you haven't played Wolfenstein: The New Order (and Old Blood) abso-fucking-lutely get that. It's one of the best games I've ever played (and I've replayed it approximately 6 or 7 times now). It's a killer shooter with a great story and balls to the wall gameplay, with a phenomenal soundtrack by Mick Gordon and dialogue that could at times be ripped straight from a Tarantino script.

Some people don't like it because it makes you use all of your weapons instead of sticking to just the one you like the most. Ammo is a bit harder to come by and there are some platforming sections that are divisive.
I love all of the Doom games personally, the classics and the modern ones. I thought Doom Eternal was a lot of fun.

Overall I think Eternal is a grand improvement over 2016... but... there are these couple of mandatory platforming sections that are so annoying. I did an Easy Mode run recently just before Dark Ages: Revelations came out, and I still had a couple of deaths because of falling off the damn timed platforming BS. 😆
In a lot of gameplay ways (not story) The Dark Ages is a closer sequel to 2016 than Eternal. Doom has become Silent Hill. 1 & 3 feel related and 2 is great, but different lol

Eternal was SO bad compared to 2016. They took every bit of player choice away and turned it into rock paper scissors instead. And then also decided the game need more platforming for some fuckin reason. Eternal is definitely in my top 5 biggest disappointments in all of gaming.
Amazing soundtrack though.

Doom Eternal is the best doom game. Go for that; but every game you mentioned is good and worth playing

Doom eternal is great but it's way faster and adds a lot more mechanics. I like it better than 2016 gameplay wise.
