[PC] should i buy galactic racer or control resonant?

they both look great but i can only afford one right now, i was planning on getting control resonant but then galactic racer came out. i haven't played the first control but i was hoping that wouldn't matter, although i guess i could also buy the first one. i think i'm slightly leaning towards galactic racer since it has multiplayer, although i'm a little bit worried that it's going to die

You will benefit from playing the first control. So grab up racer now and wait for some sales for the control games

I agree, you can play Resonant without having played the first but even with the ingame story recap you will miss out on some lore, inside jokes/references and most importantly some emotional impact imo.

Racer is available through Luna if you have Prime.

This is what I did. It's a fun game but it's no where near worth full price imo.

Only if you're in a region with Amazon Luna Cloud Gaming Service is enabled.

Try them both out on Amazon Luna I know for sure galactic racer is there to stream in browser( assuming your internet is fast enough and you have anything to browse the web). For me it’s galactic racer I like the story mode and its rogue like nature where it’s hard to beat and each time you come back a little faster and with more abilities.

Definitely Control, it’s more contained than the rest of the Remedy universe which makes it a good entry point where you could easily go back and explore what leads up to it if you felt so inclined after finishing it.

It’s an incredibly fun game with some great writing and mind bending visuals, and is a solid 50 hours if you do the side content (which is very fun in this game). I’d say it’s more of a guaranteed value for your purchase compared to a multiplayer game with uncertain longevity. You at least know for certain you’ll get what you want out of it

Galactic Racer isn’t an online service game, and isn’t focused around multiplayer.

OP said he was worried about the multiplayer dying out

These are wildly different games that can’t easily be compared.

So don’t buy either of them and just get Wardogs

Way to go for not maintaining within the topic and mentioning Wardogs.

I mean. I can breath above the water and if I keep going at some point I’ll hit a shipping lane.
