[PC] Should I buy Fallout 76?

So Fallout 76 has just gone on sale on Steam for $7.99, and I'm considering if I should buy it or not. I mean, I have played Fallout 4 and Fallout 3, and I've even beaten Fallout: New Vegas, but I still wanted to ask other people's opinions because I know the game is pretty mixed, so I'm just curious.

EDIT: I may reconsider buying it now since I didn't know it was 90GB.

Yes, game is amazing. It's basically Fallout 4 multiplayer.

I play the game and I love it. End game sucks though. I didn't play Fallout 3 or Fallout 4 prior to playing Fallout 76. My understanding is people that were used to Bethesda games felt the game didn't meet expectation.

You may need to do more research. What made me happy about the game may not be enough for those that follow the franchise. That being said, it is 8 dollars. Maybe take a risk.

Couldn't get into it myself, personally. Still, it's only $8, or refund it within two hours.

It’s a pretty good fallout game but an amazing mmo! It has crazy learning curve tho. I’d recommend teaming up with some people that can help you unravel everything

I personally did not like the end game but they have made several changes since then. At the time, the only way to do fun damage was to go with an auto aim vats(not really vats but it's an auto aim mechanic). If you tried to use just regular ads and shooting you would lose out on a ton of dps through the cards/perks. It got bad enough that I would be using an explosive Gatling gun and it would take 20-50 bullets to kill an enemy. Use the auto aim and it was down to 4-5 bullets because crit effects would add up.

Go to join one of the player events where people fight some monsters in an area and you wouldn't even get to see enemies. Instead you saw some lvl billion guy standing on a truck spinning around like an aimbot killing every enemy before you can see them.

The base building is cool and they did add more NPC options at least. Just wish the endgame was better when I played.

Yes, that’s a good price. If you like Fallout 4 you will probably like 76. There are FOMO issues with the way the shop works, and their seasons are a bit like a part-time job. But if you can ignore that, there is a lot of fun to be had.
Especially at that price.

I’ve gotten a lot of playtime out of 76. If you like the other FO games you will probably like this one. Lots to do and grind.

Wasn't for me. I gave it a few hours and just couldn't get into it.

76 is fun, but you’re going to need the monthly subscription, so factor that into the price.

It's pretty great, I got about 1200 hours out of it and they've added plenty of content since I stopped.

2000+ hours. I can assure you it has a lot to offer. Lots to do and see, a very welcoming community, and new content is added every 4-5 months.

I dont play anymore. I got all I wanted out of it. However I can assure you if you enjoyed Fallout 4, you'll enjoy 76.

I keep trying really hard to like it, attempting playthroughs not just on release, but also a year ago and as recently as a month ago. While other players and Bethesda's micro-transaction-spamming are annoying, they are easy enough to ignore. However, I really don't care for the intrinsic 100%-realtime nature of the game (no real pausing or true VATS). The inventory management UI is somehow worse than that of vanilla FO4, and I am not a fan the card-based perk system.

I wouldn't consider myself a *hater*, but after an hour of play I find myself wishing I'd just fired up another FO4 playthrough.
