Basically plotting out a potential final scene only because I've seen THAT CLIP from one of the latest teasers and I want to talk about it. Warning of big spoilers in the linked clip.
This is a variation of a post i wrote on tumblr a few days ago, but i still wanted to share cause i'm really curious what other people might think about a final scene like this.
A few things before I get into it, this is not what I hope for the most, but what i think might realistically still happen in the confines of the show, and the pawns that are in place that make this possible for me. I still hope we do get at least new flashbacks between Wanda and Vision, almost like it happened in WandaVision, that expanded our knowledge of them between each previous project. But i don't believe that might happen cause for what we heard Elizabeth Olsen was not in the cast list... And the show is already completely out for reviewers and no leak similar to this happened, so this is an idea of a final scene knowing Wanda can't be used in this show as a physical presence.
Vision is struggling, there are two sets of hands on his chest, one set is vibrating, shows off yellow sparks, we can safely say it's Tommy, one other pair extrudes blue energy, his fingernails being painted black, we could guess they might be Billy's.
I think whatever is happening is probably the last big fight of the series, things are tough cause they are fighting for their survival, maybe Ultron, maybe him and some other antagonists. But who is it's not important for the sake of this scene I want to describe.
They manage to use their powers in complete harmony and they manage to stop whoever needs to be stopped. Sprinkle in some very touching moment that will make us all weep, like maybe Tommy finally calling Vision, dad, or similar. And also a big hug between all three. I can imagine Billy being instead still a bit detached from Vision. He hasn't still lived the kind of journey that brought Vision and Tommy so close together, and still calls him with his name. Vision is happy that the 3 of them are reunited, and smiles anyway because he understands.
For whatever plot reason at this point, Visions leaves the teens talking, maybe going into his head to talk to the other AIs, maybe idk something else still. But this leads to the teens talking privately.
I can imagine either a heated discussion or even turning into a fight, either way Tommy starts to defend Vision, after noticing how cold Billy is towards Vision, trying to convince him he is their dad too, and Billy still on the fence because of him being the closest with the Kaplans, since he spent more time with them, than he ever did in the Hex, he feels like the Kaplans are his only real parents. Maybe Tommy is even hurt by it, cause he is finally happy to have found both his dad and his brother, and he wants to maybe ask him to finally spend more time together, maybe moving all 3 of them in the same place, and Billy feeling bad for Tommy not wanting to abandon the Kaplans. Billy feeling bad for the fact that he still hasn't talked to them about his truth, about the fact that he has two lives, two families.
And that's where they start sharing, and Tommy figures out Billy does not remember anything, and Billy figures out the opposite, that Vision knows everything, has all the data, all the memories inside his database. Tommy knows partially, just flashes of his life in the Hex. And so he has an idea.
Maybe in the show already it was shown or hinted at that it was possible. Maybe the black silhouette was Billy All Along trying to get into Vision's mind palace to try and track down both Vision and Tommy's location.
Maybe Billy and Tommy find a way, thanks to their powers combined, to appear in Vision MindPalace.
V - Billy? Tommy? What are you guys... doing here... How is this even possible?
B - I've been trying for so long actually, and I've finally did it... I was trying to find Tommy... find you both... Searched you for so long I didn't realize you could have been so far away from home... From Eastview... Maybe I needed to be close enough to be effective, maybe I needed to see you first. I just know that, even if I know I will always have a family, a good family, waiting for me in Westview... Vision... I need to know... What I lost... What I used to have... Used to know...
{add Wanda's theme in here, or another emotional track for Wandavision}
V - What do you want to know? Our time together, your birth, your mother
B - I wanna know... Uhm we {looking at Tommy} -we wanna know everything.
Whatever was the good emotional dialogue I imagined but forgot, their discussion find them visibly emotional. And the three of them later move to the Theater part of the MindPalace, the one we probably will see in episode one, and now the three of them will watch their parent story, individually and together, their time in the Hex, the goodbye. All three of them finally bonding.
So... was that probably too fanfiction-y? Do you think it might be a good compromise to both honor Wanda while still not hinting at her return/comeback/seeing they are actively already searching for her? Because I think, given the amount of Wanda references in all the promotional material, and the trailers and teasers is really a lot, but also a lot are the mentions of her being dead that just makes me think they are hammering it on purpose cause they might want to both keep the surprise appearance in Doomsday/Secret Wars, while also trying to keep hope up in fans that might boycott both movies if they think she might not be in both movies.
Also, a big point of contention in AAA was Billy refusing his history with this family because of his amnesia and the fact that where he lived he probably only heard terrible stories about Wanda and what happened in Kamar-Taj, and having a final scene like this where we see he is starting to warming up and actually wants to know more might help the actor as well since I've seen he is receiving a lot of hate towards him for this.
But anyway... Even if you don't have Wanda there with them, and even without an hint on her return, this way, doing a scene like that, where all three of them revisit their lost memories... at least you still honor her importance to the story, their bond, their love to each other, you basically do "a love letter to Wanda Maximoff" precisely as a reviewer called it. I know already something like this would warm AND break my heart, if done correctly, and I'd still believe it as a good ending.
I would be satisfied i think...
Obviously I want Wanda to come back, for her to reunite with her family, but I can't see it happening in a tv show for how things are currently going... Maybe if the plan of giving the same importance to series and movies was still active, I would have believed in her return, or hints of it. But unfortunately DS MoM did what it did, and now the only way for her to come back, is in a future movie, being that either Doomsday, or Secret Wars or otherwise a full Scarlet Vision / Young Avengers Children's Crusade Project...
I'm still fairly hopeful she will come back. The question is just when and how...
I'll be waiting...
PS: ALTERNATIVELY. If Tommy and Billy cannot get into his MindPalace anyway, I'd just turn Vision's Forehead thingy in a freaking projector, and so have the same scene, but outside of the mind Palace.
PS2: I haven't used ai to correct all of this and English is not my first language so be mindful of typos and grammar. <3 I did check again multiple times but I'm only human ahah
