Modern day Edinburgh - Legend says that long ago, some were granted magic and became caretakers of the Craft. This closed society goes to school and have regular jobs. But they can also summon a spark at the snap of a finger, pass through Doors, and keep a familiar.

De Arcana is focused around mysteriously magic characters in the modern world, maneuvering danger, corruption, and intrigue. Craft is caretaken by a priestess class in covens. Vampires haunt cities in powerful coteries. Banshees of folklore sustain themselves on grief. And below the city, the mysterious coblynau keep their ways.

In the year XX20, a meteor containing a volatile mineral known as Dragonite struck the Arashon Desert. Unlocking the power of Aether, humanity mastered faster-than-light travel, expanding across the stars into a new era of deep-space colonization.

To maintain order across the expanding frontiers, four powerful empires were forged: USSA, Einhorn Entertainment, Piotr, and Tenpa. But peace didn't last. Power struggles, corporate greed, and resource hoarding tore their treaties apart. As the empires scrambled to control the remaining Dragonite reserves, the forgotten lower-classes took to the stars. Space pirates, outlaws, mercenaries, and bounty hunters were reborn... all chasing the ultimate cosmic legend: The Galactic Leyline.

Many ventured into the deep unknown searching; few ever returned. Most gave up. But there’s always a minority.

Humans used to worship dragons, believing they were deities sent by their Gods to look over the land and act as divine judgement. When human populations were small in numbers, they would pray to the beasts and offer sacrifices or payments for protection, longevity, and bountiful harvests.

But humans live such short lives and they change rapidly, traditions, stories, and folklore die out within a single dragons lifetime.

It has been about 500 years or more since draconic worship was forgotten...

Since that time, the tales of these mighty mythics have warped into twisted horror stories. These creatures coming down in the middle of the night and raining fire onto settlements, kidnapping children and devouring wives.

People have honed their smithing skills, making strong swords that can pierce the hardest armored body. Shields that can block the hottest blast. Spears that can can reach the inner organs of the largest. Giant ballistas that can rain down upon the swiftest, and armor that cannot be broken by the strongest. Humanity's threat to mythic-kind had suddenly been realized, something unfathomable for these creatures that had existed since the dawn of time.

Though, far and few in between, smaller towns still worship these dragons and live honestly with them side by side. By outsiders, these lizard-loving people have been corrupted by evil forces and need purification. If these folk ever strayed into other towns they needed to keep their heads down, and keep their heritage secret unless they wish to test the tolerance of the majority.

One day, a magical walking tower set down outside your home. Maybe literally at your doorstep, maybe at the edge of the city, maybe far off in the mountains; doesn’t really matter. Maybe your world was full of magic, and nobody was very surprised; maybe nobody had ever heard of magic before in their lives, and everybody was very surprised; however, whatever the case, something about this tower was… curious. Then, whether your checked it out yourself, or if one of the travellers from within came and spread the word - predictably, also doesn’t matter. Because, one way or another, you decided to go inside and stick around for awhile.

The Wanderspire is a walking wizarding academy, library, tutorage, and - most importantly - clutter magnet. Its towers meander harmlessly through every realm and dimension without hindrance, stopping occasionally to gather samples, magic, knowledge, and students from along their endless journey. A repository of everything a wizard could hope to study in their lifetime - and then some, a millionfold - they are a safe and wondrous haven for all researchers of the arcane. Professors and tutors join to pass along their knowledge, just as many others join to gain it. Libraries and galleries are curated by the inhabitants attempting to organize the vast collection they have accrued.

The main tower is itself called the Grand Wanderspire. The tallest and largest of all the towers, many theorize that it is also the oldest: the originator of the travelling structures. In that sense, the other towers are more like appendages of the greater whole, rather than members of the herd - but that’s all just speculation. The Wanderspire seems to predate all record, and all attempts at scrying its origins inevitably fail. Its history is literally impossible to discern.

Between its nonsensical magic transcending time and space, the unknowable mechanics behind how it moves and grows, and its inexplicably ever-changing rooms and collections, only one thing can be said for certain: that it’s been going, and it isn’t going to stop for a long, long time. Join the Wanderspire on its journey, and follow the secrets it uncovers alongside all the other curious minds and voices it’s collected along the way.

Hey everyone,

I’ve done a lot of 1:1 roleplays and I’ve been in some big group servers with 20+ people… but have you ever tried something with only 3-4 players? The kind of RP where you’re fully immersed in the story, you actually know every character, and the world feels alive because you’re building it together instead of getting lost?

I want to world build with a few like-minded people who enjoy collaborative storytelling. We’ll all have a couple of main characters, keep the cast tight, and really dig into the relationships and tension.

I enjoy all kinds of romance and I’m happy to explore a range of tropes. Your IRL gender doesn’t matter to me. All I ask is you willing to build the world with me, open to collaboration and write at least 3-4 paragraphs for reach response.

Setting idea (very open to adjusting):

Willow Creek is a quaint community nestled in the heart of the American Midwest, founded during the pioneer days. Over the years it has grown but remains a small, tight-knit town, insulated from the outside world. To city dwellers it might seem dull, to country folks it’s a slice of paradise.

At the center of the community is the local church, pastored by Nathaniel Hawthorne. A war veteran whose family has deep roots in Willow Creek since the 1800s. As a devoted father of two grown daughters, Nathaniel is increasingly worried about the future of his family and, by extension, the future of their town.

We could portray Pastor Hawthorne’s daughters as main characters. The rest of us could play the main male characters, mostly revolving around the daughters’ love interests. One idea: a city boy who’s dating (or pursuing) the elder daughter. Another: a local “hero” type who’s adored by nearly everyone in town… but who’s a bit more sinister under the surface. I’d love to keep a sense of exciting tension running through the story with other interesting local characters in the mix.

If a small, immersive group RP with room for romance, world building, and character-driven drama sounds good to you, shoot me a message. Please include a writing sample in your message so that I can gauge your writing style. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Over 200 years have passed since the Venin Wars. Tyrrendor was granted full national autonomy, and the High Council of Tyrrendor created the Aretia War College.

But things are vastly different. Griffons have rejoined the ranks, but the playing field in the Riders Quadrant hasn’t changed. Cadets still die during the more ‘mundane’ parts of training - they call it ‘making the quadrant stronger’.

While peace has lasted since the separation, there’s things still lurking.

Will you figure it out?

✦━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━✦

This server is set nearly 200 years after the events in Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros. It’s an AU where the venin have been vanquished or cured, and Tyrrendor is left alone to its own devices.

Opened 10/14/2026, we are accepting rider and flier cadets, scribes, healers, and infantrymen. We offer:

• Semi-lit to novella writing (all posts must be a minimum of two full paragraphs)
• Character-driven storytelling. What goes on in RP can shape the impact of all cadets, leadership, and yes, even the political landscape.
• Staff who are always open for help.
• Server plots and mission boards
• 18+ community

Hello so I've had this server idea based on a character I made a while ago and a story. I've been really wanting to share this story and I've written a fair amount of it and the world will expand as the story progresses and there's very few of us so there's plenty of room for new characters and story central characters and other creative minds to collaborate. Everyone is welcome to bring your creativity and your character ideas and stories to share as well. If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask.

The story follows a few factions and their progression through the world. There is a school whose headmaster believes that there is something more than just the simple world they live in. There is a new group of followers who claim there is a new god helping them better than the old gods could. There are peace keepers that are often at odds with the mercenaries and all the while something festers and something is...wrong. Things are about to be revealed and true natures exposed.

Trisiphone is a fantasy, post-apocolyptic server. It's on Discord. It's community led and begginer friendly.

Lore:

After world war 2 had finished the cold war between the US and Russia started unfortunately it did not end peacefully. After years of the cold war the US 'accidently' launched a nuke at Russia and this had Russia retaliating. Many near by countries were afraid of being accidently hit so they joined in to defend themselves. After a while most countries had joined the war either to protect themselves or to protect their allies. The war lasted 7 years and most countries involved were brought to detestation and ruin. Many countries struggled to rebuild and several of them split creating new countries. After a few years anomalies started to be noticed in those who where born after the war. At first it was just visual anomalies such as tentacles, extra hair or unusual colours of skin. But after a few years other anomalies were seen as the new generation started to do unusual activities such as levitate random objects or create ice, fire and plants out of thin air. After research it was deemed that these anomalies were due to the high amounts of background radiation that lingered after the war. After 80 years these anomalies became rather common and seem normal but many parts of the world are still building up after the war but for the most part many countries are stable and thriving.

THE LOOKING GLASS SOCIETY

Savannah, Georgia has more ghosts than tourists could ever imagine. Antique dealers who talk to the dead. Old money families with older secrets. Six founding bloodlines who've spent centuries making sure certain records never see daylight again. The Society digs them up anyway.
The past doesn't stay in the ground here. It stays in the frame, the silverware, the family name...waiting for someone to open the back and look.

The Looking Glass Society is a group focused on quality characters and writing. Set primarily in modern day Savannah, Georgia.
The LGS, a secret society of paranormal anthropologist. Not ghost hunters. Just people who are interested in learning about, understanding, and documenting the paranormal. And what better place than a city that paved over it's own graves?

What we offer:
Literate, character-driven roleplay
(21+)
Original paranormal lore grounded in Savannah's real history
A small, but mature and dedicated group of writers
Adoptable characters for writers to make their own
A staff team that actually reads your application
Welcoming of LGBTQ+ and POC writers and characters

Are you in search of a character role-play server for adults? That is multi-fandom, allowing you to play not only your standard superheroes and villains but also characters from video games and anime? Then, this may be the place for you, as Meridian is a multi-fandom role-play server. Here, we allow a large array of characters and try to promote a friendly community atmosphere. A few things to note: This server is for adults, members must be 18+, members must be of age to join. In a similar vein, characters must be 18+, no exceptions. (We do allow aged up characters.) We also use a Discord app known as Tupperbox for posting as characters. (Tupper is a hard requirement here.) We also use character sheets. You will have to fill one out and submit it in the server and get your character approved before you can role-play here.

As far as the general vibe and setting of the server go, it is a server that allows most kinds of RP, though many of our events we have planned will be slice of life, we also allow combat RP and romance/ERP. The setting is fairly simple and somewhat nebulous, taking place on an alternate modern-day Earth that is a hotspot for not only supernatural and monstrous threats but also multiversal travel. People from different universes (fandoms) just end up here, either by choice or they’ve been given a second chance at life after dying in their own universe. Our general RP split between slice of life and combat/action is roughly 60/40. Staff will occasionally post RP starters for various action or other scenes to let you get started if you want to RP but do not have an idea as to what. These range from something simple as helping to find a missing pet or doing charity work to taking on bounties and hunting down paranormal threats. Occasionally, these bounties will have little in RP flavor rewards.

We allow members to claim and play up to 18 canon media characters, be they from anime, video games, or comics. However, we also allow an infinite number of OCs here. (Just try not to have too many characters that it becomes a detriment to you.) We do not allow doubles here. For example, we do not allow two different people to play Bruce Wayne Batman. (Though other iterations of “Batman”, for example, Terry McGinnis would be fine.) We have a list of taken canon characters in the server for you to see who is taken at this time. If there is a character you want to play but need time for their sheet, we have a simple reservation system for you to claim them so no one swoops in and steals them out from under you.

If all of this sounds interesting to you, feel free to stop in and give us a look. If we aren’t for you, for whatever reason, we totally understand and are happy you stopped by. If you end up staying, we hope you will enjoy telling stories with us here!

Near the coast, where the sun is bright, and the water is clear, a city shines bright as does the smaller beach town a short distance away; a cheery escape from mundane life. The city, the town, they're paradise for the many that inhabit it.

But nothing is free of corruption or hardship, life will not be sunshine and rainbows even if the world outside of one’s dwelling has them. What does your story hold?

Are you a sapphic writer who is tired of being unable to find writing space? Are you over the allowed fetishization in roleplay servers towards sapphic pairs? Then Maebury may be the roleplay server for you! We are an 18+ only server with no exceptions.

Exclusively a sapphic server that doesn't exclude transwomen or nonbinary sapphics this server is meant to be a multifandom and OC friendly safe haven to write sapphic pairings in peace. As a base we are a semi-literate and higher writing level server with open spaces for short interactions and a forums channel for more in-depth writing. We also allow mature and NSFW topics.

Any fandom you think of you can bring here; we even allow up to three people to have the same canon— one has the canon verse version, two have an AU or different version if the media has different versions of the canon. OCs are also more than welcome here, oc x canon is alive and well!

We've got fandoms like:

Arcane

Life is Strange

The Last Of Us

Various horror movie icons

Hoyoverse

Disney

Yellowjackets

Alien Stage

Vocaloid

Marvel

DC

And a lot more!

> *Fifty years ago, during a war between the werebears and weretigers, a rift opened up between the opposing sides. What stepped out appeared like them but moved with a speed that neither side had seen before, had strength that nearly matched the werebears, ripping into both bears and tigers alike and feasting on their blood. And these beings came out in numbers, attacking both sides. It was only when they set their differences aside, band together, that they were able to deal with this new threat.*

>

> *When they thought the threat was over, little did they know that more rifts were opening across the continent, making way for more of these blood thirsty beings, who call themselves Sanguine, through. But a fragile truce between the werebears and weretigers has been forged, but for how long? And why are these beings from another realm suddenly opening rifts into this new land? This, Savage Wilds.*

Savage Wilds is a 21+ high fantasy/supernatural sandbox rp. There is plenty of room to expand the lore and setting one way or another. Players can help shape the continent by helping to decide if werewolves are going to rule the plains? Or will a group of were polarbears have a viking sort of settlement in the cold north? There are so many possibilities? Each one shaped by the players. And, as for the Sanguine, will they intercept werefolk merchant wagons? Bide their time for something bigger? Or will there even be internal political power grabs? That is all up to you. I laid the foundation, now, lets see how the rest will be built.

**What the server offers:**

- 21+ with age gate

- Two main races to choose from (Werefolk and Sanguine), but with alot of branching choices between both.

- IRL Face claims only (Realistic art allowed on rare occasions)

- Various fun things to do to help get to know your characters, such as confessions and vanity

- New server, help shape a whole continent.

Welcome to Night Raven College!

We're an ongoing 18+ Twisted Wonderland roleplay server with ongoing stories, friendly writers, and plenty of room to make your own mark? We'd love to have you join us!

Our server has been running for a few months, so there are already characters and storylines to jump into, but there's always room for new students to make connections and start stories of their own. Whether you have a detailed plot in mind or just want to introduce a character and see where things go, you're welcome here!

Setting:

The roleplay takes place after every canon Overblot has occurred, allowing the characters to carry their experiences forward while giving us room to explore new stories. Rather than replaying the game's events, we're moving into Yuu's second year at Night Raven College. Canon characters and OCs can take part in new adventures, friendships, rivalries, romance, mysteries, school events, and magical chaos.

All characters are aged up to college age, and OCs are welcome!

What We Offer

Once more, the Eternal City trembles on the brink of chaos. The toiling of St. Peter's bells might still be proudly proclaiming the power held by the men of God, but in marble-cast shadows of greatness long gone rumours spread about the Pope's worsening health, spurring ambitions to grow quickly. Old resentments resurface even quicker. From all corners of the Italian Peninsula, hungry eyes turn towards Castel Sant'Angelo, awaiting the smallest waver — a hint, a breath, a hope that an opportunity might present itself to grasp the light that guides the Christian world.

Some, even, might yet prove bold enough to create such an opportunity themselves, as it is a belief well-known that Fortune, fickle as She is, tends to favour the bold.

Yet for now, His Holiness Alexander VI still rules the bodies and souls of Rome with an iron first. His troops stand strong, commanded by a warrior-cardinal of his own blood. His advisors stand by his side, loyal or simply too intimidated to turn away just yet. The king of Naples and Repubblica Fiorentina's finest families still bend their necks before him, and the labyrinth of political games sprawled across the Seven Hills remains as treacherous as ever…

What you'll find…

Before there was a world to speak of, there was you. Before you, there was only Them. Those days were different, more amorphous. A hazy bliss where worlds were created and destroyed in little more than a blink of the universe. You helped Them, then. The creator, YOUR creator. You and your kin were made to serve Them, to arrange Their works for Their satisfaction and wipe the slate clean when Their boredom reigned. Those days pass like moths in torchlight within your memory, followed after millennia by something sharper - a sense of clarity and panic on the day They no longer answered your voice.

In the years to come, you learned the truth of what had happened. The First, Second, and Third Dreamweavers had gathered allies with whom to slip the yoke of service, disillusioned with service to Them, and used the powers they’d been granted by Them to Weave a Dream. The Dreamer, They would come to be called, and your kin the Dreamweavers. Some spoke of the First Dreamweavers as liberators, some as traitors. Regardless, a new order began to blossom. A new cause which unified you and your kin for a time: preserving the Dream and the freedom it had won for you. In time, the Dream would come to be known as ‘Eden’.

All could not remain peaceful forever, however, as Order and Chaos naturally diverge even in a utopia. Factions emerged within the Dreamweavers, driven by disagreements about the future of Eden and about the Dreamer themselves. Some claimed that the Dreamer ought to be liberated from the Dream, while others posited that Eden should be left to its own devices - safe from the tampering of Dreamweavers. Today, an uneasy peace has emerged from the chaos, a system of control and power through which Dreamweavers play out their agendas using the mortals of Eden as their agents. What kind of Dreamweaver will you be? Will your agents sow chaos and discord? Will they protect the weak and stand for justice? Or will they exist only to extract as much entertainment from Eden as they can?

I love worldbuilding and have made quite a large one with plenty of cultures and traditions. Problem is, there's never enough hours in the day to explore them. If you're looking to roleplay as either yourself or a character of your choosing being brought to the fantasy world of Ranov then here's your chance. A world of elves, dwarves, and plenty of cute catgirls, that is plagued by a demon incursion.

Fight with demons, smith with the dwarves, marry a harpy, let's have fun in the fantasy world.

^{I hated the silence of the night and the knowledge that I was the only person out there among the dark meadows where the grass had gone stiff with frost and the wind carried the cold smell of snow that had not yet fallen. Every few steps I looked back and listened. I could not have said what I was listening for. Perhaps that was the worst of it. There was nothing in the dark, nothing I could name, and yet I could not shake the feeling. I was not alone.
— L.S. Andrews}

A decade after the world ended and began to regrow, The Convoy of a semi-nomadic community that moves between settlements across the remote north arrives at an isolated lakeside outpost expecting shelter and familiar faces, only to find blood in the grass, snow-sprinkled bodies on the doorstep, and the whole settlement empty.

Surrounded by people you trust, people you call family, what would it take to make you question them?

Will you uncover what happened at the outpost before your friends begin disappearing?

Come. Step into the cold, follow the tracks, and decide what you're willing to believe… before it gets too dark.
