I'm a casual/detailed, semi-literate writer. I'm not looking for novella-length responses every time, but I do like having enough detail to work with and build on.

I'm also friendly with OOC chat and enjoy getting to know my RP partners outside of the story.

I'm generally active around during the day, although real life occasionally wins and I may miss a day when I'm busy.

I'm not a fan of extremely slow-moving RPs where nothing happens for weeks, but I do like taking time to develop relationships naturally.

Give me tension, awkwardness, conflict, getting to know each other, and reasons for the characters to actually fall for one another - I'm looking for someone interested in building a longer-term story together rather.

Hi! I’m trying this again! I’m Kay (20+) and I’m looking for a 20+ yo roleplay/writing partner for a long-term Marvel roleplay. I don’t mind taking inspiration from the comics, but I definitely envision the MCU when writing + thinking of the canon characters.

I have been roleplaying for over ten years and have plenty of experience. I use Discord and love running more than one channel/thread to move along the plot and try out ideas! I try my best to match response length and would consider myself to be semi-lit. Like many others here, I prefer quality over quantity. I write in the third person using present tense (but tense isn’t a big deal for me; I just wouldn’t be used to writing or reading first-person responses.)

Here are more specifics I’m looking for:

• Using canon characters and ocs

• Found family, enemies to lovers, angst, slice of life, romance, fluff (I have ocs that would be good children to some of the Avengers!)

• Someone who doesn’t mind writing as Natasha, Tony, or Steve (I’ve been told I write a great Bucky, Pepper, and Peter, along with other characters. I would like to write for Loki, too! Those are my mains, along with some ocs, and I would be happy to gain experience writing as other MCU characters)

• Someone who would enjoy my sharing of playlists and Pinterest boards for our roleplay! You wouldn’t have to make them if you don’t want to, but I also enjoy ooc chatting!

I’m all for making up our own plot entirely or wedging a new plot into one of the existing MCU films! I’m unfamiliar with the “new” roleplay terms, but I have lots of experience playing several characters at once and doubling.

The plot I am wanting to try out is a young woman (me) gets pulled over by an officer. I am ticketed for speeding and reckless driving. The reason why I will not disclose yet. Sidebar: Also for my more adventurous writers a plot that is still in the works, but i’d be highly interested in doing is like a futuristic/ alien romance. Maybe some enemies, like from different planets. I just have like a Guardians of Galaxy/ alien vs predator thing in mind. Or I could even be human, and i’m taken by a species from your planet and we just cross paths and I have no idea… like where it’s going but basically some space romance. Also your alien can be a shape shifter or whatever, just something really cool.

Greetings Lads and Lassies! Writer here with ten years of experience. I am F, 24 and in EST time zone. I am writing this post to you because I am in need of a roleplay partner! Specifically, to do a plot taking place during Word War II.

I am a bit of a history buff, as well as a hopeless romantic. A plot set against the backdrop of one of the darkest periods of modern history acts as a powerful metaphor. When the world is actively tearing itself apart, the choice to love someone becomes the ultimate act of defiance, rebellion, and hope. I want to follow two characters as they grow closer together and navigate the devastation and horrors of war.

I do prefer MxM pairings, however I am open to MxF as well if that is more your style.

My Requirements:

- I am advanced literate, however I always say quality is more important than quantity when it comes to writing. I don’t have a word-count I aim for, however I do tend to write a lot and go overboard quite often. I don’t have an expectation that you do the same, but I won’t be interested in short responses.

- Expect consistent replies. I do have a full-time career and life offline, but this is my main hobby. You can expect at the very least one response per day if not more, and I would love a similar commitment from my partner.

-  Please be excited and interested in participating in developing the story.

- Someone who loves complex character psychology, historical details, and a romance that is earned through mud, sweat, and tears. I want our characters to suffer a little before they find their peace!

Here are some examples of plot ideas I have in mind:

Plot A) MxM: It’s 1944 in occupied France. Ari Acker, a widowed French Jew, is forced to work as a translator for the Wehrmacht to survive. His direct superior is Erich Jäger, a German lieutenant who seems cold and rigid, but is secretly hiding his own lethal secret: he is a gay man serving a regime that actively destroys people like him. As Ari translates the words of the oppressors, Erich is forced to confront the reality of the uniform he wears. What starts as a tense, terrified working relationship becomes a lifeline for both of them. slice of life is my favorite genre and i love adding in drama, tension, angst, romance, heartbreak, trauma, growth, insurmountable odds! love it all. i am even open minded to some fantasy/supernatural aspects for an interesting flair.

i write in third person perspective and in past tense, i thrive on details and world building, i can write 3-5 chunky paragraphs at a time (depending on what is currently happening within the story/scene — dialogue dense scenes will be a bit shorter for obvious reasons) but i will always do my best to put forth effort and give my partner something worthy of replying to. yes, i am open to 18+ content.

What happens when you travel halfway across the world chasing a dream, only to find yourself wanting something you can't have?

2007, United States. For years, America had existed in Mikołaj’s imagination as something almost mythical. A place of opportunity, freedom, and endless possibilities, where anyone could become somebody if they wanted it badly enough. At least, that was what the films and television had promised him. So, when the opportunity to study at an American college presented itself, Miko took it without much hesitation. He packed what he could fit into a couple of suitcases, said his goodbyes, and left Poland behind in pursuit of a future he wasn't entirely sure he wanted, but desperately hoped would be better.

As it turns out, the American dream is considerably less glamorous when you're a Polish student trying to navigate an unfamiliar country and a culture that somehow manages to make you feel like an outsider even when you're surrounded by people. For all his excitement, Miko finds himself terribly homesick though he'd sooner swallow his own tongue than admit it.

And then he meets your character.

Maybe they're assigned the same dormitory, share a class or simply keep running into one another until exchanging a few words turns into something resembling friendship,,, etc. Well whatever brings them together, Miko finds himself becoming attached quickly. There's something about this particular guy that makes America feel a little less foreign, and before long he's become a constant presence in Miko's life. The time they spend together become the highlights of his otherwise chaotic college experience. Unfortunately somewhere along the way Miko makes the rather inconvenient discovery that he's fallen in love with his friend and there's just one little problem.

His friend has his eyes on somebody else.

Whether he's already in a relationship, hopelessly crushing on somebody, or tangled up in a complicated romantic situation of his own is entirely up to you. Whatever the circumstances, Miko is painfully aware that his feelings aren't exactly welcome at the moment. So he settles for being a friend- a good friend even.

With this plot I'd love to explore a slowburn friends-to-lovers built around the messiness of young adulthood, college life in the late 2000s, cultural differences, maybe internalized homophobia, jealousy, drunken confessions, angst, messy relationships. I don't expect your character to reciprocate Miko's feelings immediately, or even recognize them for a long time. In fact the longer and more complicated the road to that realization the better!

I'd especially love a dynamic where Miko becomes such an ordinary, dependable part of your character's life that he doesn't realize how much he means to him until something or someone threatens to change their friendship. After all sometimes the person you've been looking for has been sitting beside you the entire time...

One Tree Hill- I am obsessed with this show, I am very early in season one but it’s reignited my love for the classic 90s/00s shows! I have a few devastating ideas regarding plot for Jake!

Supernatural- I am really picky with this fandom. I may say no just like ACOTAR and fourth wing. Please don’t be offended, I’ve just had very bad past experiences. Would love to work against a Dean for my oc and again I have some really sad ideas for their plot.

Buffy the vampire Slayer- I’d love to explore this fandom! I have high key devastating ideas for Spike that would add so much fun to the plot. Particularly in the later seasons. I’d love a Spike verses angel triangle but I’m open in this fandom!

The last kingdom - I am obsessed with this show. Only on season one but I adore Uthred and Leofric would love to work on this verse if anyone is interested. I would love to showcase the Britons a bit more and explore some Celtic history as well!

Les Mis- I would love to explore Paris during this time. I have a female oc I pair heavily with Enjolras or Marius but Enjolras would be my preference. I have a few devastating ideas for this verse that mix in parts of Moulin Rouge. I have thoughts on an informant for the Revolution working at the famous club so she can get news of the royalist movements. On this note I am also obsessed with Wicked and would love a Fiyero if possible.

Harry Potter- As much as JK Rowling sucks I love love love Hogwarts and the wonderful characters she created. I would love to write against a Draco, George, Sirius or James. I have a few plots including a time turner experiment.

Fourth Wing- Words cannot express my love and adoration for Basgaith war college and the amazing men Rebecca Yarros has given us. My characters main male here is Xaden. She’s created to be the light in his world and I’ve been working on her for years so I hope you like her! Other favourites include Liam, Ridoc and Araric. I’d love to do a love triangle for this verse I honestly think there are so many intriguing options.

ACOTAR- Again another special fandom in my heart. I love the Illyrians so much so I would love to do something with Cassian or Azriel. I never get to pair with Az so I’d love to explore something there. I’m also intrigued by the idea of the autumn court males so Eris and Lucien. I think a love triangle between these guys could frankly be deadly. I have several heart breaking and detailed ocs for this verse. I’ve been working on these characters since the first book came out and adding to them as we got more info. I also love TOG but I won’t list my pairings here- it’ll be too intense a post haha.

Euphoria/Wuthering Heights - weird mix I know. But I adore Jacob Elordi and am basically willing to work in any of his projects provided I’ve seen them! I’ve watched Wuthering Heights, Priscilla, Euphoria (S1 only new fan!) and of course SaltBurn.

Maxton Hall/Outerbanks- Desperately craving a James Beaufort and a JJ Maybank. I never get to pair with either. I’ve put these two fandoms together because they’re a similar theme. But I have so many ideas for each of these men. Please let me know if you’d like to write in these worlds.

Top Gun- Words cannot express how much I LOVE these movies. I am looking for a Maverick, Goose or Iceman from the first movie. From the second Bradley, Hangman or Maverick please! I am more than willing to double on this fandom. I love the movies so much. Please be familiar with the plot and verse!

Disney- Please ask about this one. But I am more into the live action adaptions. Cinderella for example and Pirates of the Caribbean. I also love Narnia and the 2000s stuff like Hannah Montana and Lizzie McGuire. I just think they’re fun light hearted fandoms that could be nice to write in. I also utterly adore the movies Tangled and Hercules so I’d love to work in these verses too!

Bridgerton- please give me a well written Bridgerton brother. Craving an Anthony or Benedict right now- largely due to the new series reminding me of how fun the verse is. If anyone has seen it as well I’d love to work in the world of the other Bennet sister. I’m searching for a Tom or Will.

ASOIF- I love this verse too and think it’s so much fun. Although I do struggle to finish GOT. I don’t think I’ve ever made it past season six haha. I love the premise so much and I have several characters I’m searching for. But my mains are Robb Stark and Jon Snow. For House of the Dragon I’m looking for Daemon.

Sinners- would love to work against the smokestack brothers please! I actually studied this era and it’s a story I would love to tell. I also love the music in this movie and I’d love to be able to do it justice in a unique story line.

Hunger Games- I write across the eras with this fandom. It’s such a vast and uniquely fascinating fandom that just keeps growing and growing. I would love to find a Finnick O’Dair or young Coriolanus here I have some intriguing ocs who may help reshape the Panem universe.

LOTR- I am a fan of the movies (I know boo me haha). I am reading the books but very slowly due to dyslexia. I am trying my best to get through them as quickly as I can but they are challenging. I’m searching for a Legolas or Aragorn here!

Pirates of The Caribbean- I am obsessed with sea legends at the moment and have several ideas I’d love to explore. I have some tragic and exciting ideas I’d love to explore with a Jack or Will as well if possible I would love a love triangle. But I understand that might not be possible!

I am also obsessed with Greek myths and legends as well. I’m in love with Medea by Rosie Hewlett and I adore the Riordanverse but my main eras are The Olympians and Hero’s of Olympus I haven’t read anything else by this author yet. I do also have specific canon x oc pairings I want to do so please don’t be upset if I do say no to a pairing.

Hi there! I’m M, a 33 year old woman living in the EST. I have been roleplaying on and off for over 10 years (insane) and have a passion for creating engaging, collaborative stories that keep both writers on their toes! I consider myself borderline adv. lit…I’m not confident enough to give myself the full title.

I can usually reply 1-3 times a day, depending on the length of replies, and write anywhere from 5-6 sentences to multiple paragraphs. I know every partner is different and as long as I am given something to work with, I’m happy! I write in either the 1st or 3rd person.

My ideal partner is someone who has a similar skill level, takes initiative in the story, is a good communicator OOC, and does their own writing. I would like to work with writers age 21+. Our schedules do not have to match up, but it might be fun to have some quick-fire back-and-forth scenes!

I have been absolutely obsessed with second-chance romance stories lately. There’s something so interesting about a couple with knowledge of one another trying to relearn the other person and try to avoid the mistakes that made them split in the first place. There are lots of different ways we can take this and I look forward to working together on the specifics. I don’t have a specific story in mind yet, more so this relationship dynamic.

Some options;
-Couple splits in college due to your character deciding to prioritize a high-profile career (maybe sports, politics, journalism) and later find themselves reunited.
-Married couple divorces only to realize that maybe their marriage was worth fighting for.
-Couple separated when one goes to war and is presumed dead, only to return years later.

I’m also fine with coming up with something entirely our own! I’d love to discuss
-How our characters are connected. Were they just dating? Married? Unrequited love?
-Why did they separate? This could be a simple “falling out of love” to a downright scandal! They could also be separated due to circumstances completely outside of their control.
-What time period are we in? I love both modern and historical settings!
-How do they come back together?
-Did one have a secret they never shared?

I value quality over quantity. Anywhere from 150-500 words is usually more than enough for me, but I typically fall in the 500-1000 range.

Grammar: Must be literate, but does not need to force prose. I have pleanty of life experience, so the mentality of the characters is important. You can make plenty of errors and I probably wont notice, but shaky character personalities and traits I am a bit less forgiving with.

Let me start off by saying that I love making friends with my partner! I cannot roleplay comfortably without being able to talk about things ooc, either rp related or not at all. From the moment I picked up Deadlock, I have been hopelessly fixated on Darcy Graves. Her interactions with the cast paint a picture of a young woman so desperate to be seen that she'll seek out the companionship and tutelage of anyone who doesn't treat her like a child—up to and including an objectively evil lich.

I'm looking to explore both Graves as a character and the Cursed Apple as a setting outside the context of the Maelstrom. As such, I'm hoping to find a writing partner who's interested in taking the scattershot lore we've been fed through character dialogue and fleshing it out.

As a partner, I write exclusively via Discord—I use third-person past tense, and my posts tend to be between 1800-4500 characters long (so one to three Discord messages without Nitro). I'm capable of offering one or two replies five days a week.

For the purposes of this chat, I will be writing Graves as an eighteen year old Blackmore senior. If you'd like to write a character without a canon age against Darcy romantically, they should be no more than twelve years older than her (so thirty).

Hello everyone, I'm Beth (26M), and I recently stumbled across this Reddit. I have been roleplaying for 6+ years, and I am quite fond of it. I have a wide variety of themes I enjoy roleplaying, but for the purposes of this ad, I'm going to focus on a more niche interest of mine.

This is a story-based RP with slice-of-life and adventure/dramatic themes. The scenario is that we are plush, plastic, or otherwise toy-esque characters trying to survive in a world full of unsuspecting humans, basically Toy Story/Living Toys trope with OCs. Toy versions of ‘canon’ characters are allowed.

The general idea is that our characters are simply living out their day-to-day lives as toys, getting played with by their owners, and making them happy. However, we can also explore the secret lives the toys live out when their owners aren't looking. The dangers of being ‘just a toy’. The stakes, the thrills, interpersonal relationships, and dramas between plastic action figures and plush animals.

There is plenty of world-building already done, and I do like to plan out the plot ahead of time, but I also enjoy a bit of improv along the way. I am hoping to do multiple ‘episodes’ of this roleplay.

Right now, I am semi-active. I might disappear at times, either due to work or just playing games. My time zone is EST.

I've been binge watching the Marvel Cinematic Universe, both in preparation for Avengers: Doomsday and because I have been in a Marvel mood as of late. I'm currently still in the middle of my binge, but it got me thinking about role-playing something Marvel related again.

However, I'm specifically in search of a GM or DM or whatever you'd like to call it, ideally an experienced one. I wanna be put into a Marvel Universe by you and taken through a grand story reminiscent of an MCU saga. Password is the full 'that doesn't seem fair' quote from Wanda. Of course, I do have ideas of my own for what this universe would consist of, but I'm largely curious to see your ideas brought to the table! Really take me for a ride!

I do have a couple of requests and requirements. One request is that, although I would love for it to be at least partially OC driven, especially since I'd be using an OC myself, I would prefer if the OCs that are present are more or less derivative off of what already exists in Marvel, if that makes any sense. Having a character that's wholly original and unique would make it feel a little disconnected from Marvel, in my opinion. A spidersona is an easy example of what I would go for, which I do actually have. I do apologize if this is a letdown for you, I understand. It's just personal preference.

A requirement is that I'd like for you to have role-playing experience already under your belt and that you are also twenty-one or over. Good grammar would also be appreciated!

Hey! I was looking to do a roleplay consisting of fantasy elements in a modern setting! This roleplay is mostly set to be a slice of life and romance based roleplay with many different opportunities for action and drama, as well as a great amount of free room to add world building as we progress the story. I usually make a bit of a guideline for the sort of world building I like, and then allow us to add as many countries, islands, species as we want. I love making little events/traditions for our ocs to take part in, and just to make the world feel more alive outside our main characters/settings.

A bit about me, I am 19 and do not roleplay with minors so please do not contact me if you are under 18. I usually write anywhere between 1-3 paragraphs on average but can go a lot higher to about 8 paragraphs if I am feeling particularly inspired or have a lot to go off of. I am mostly interested in LGBTQ+ couple dynamics, though a dynamic I have been really wanting to try is a feminine man paired with a masculine woman. I am good with writing multiple characters and love to make our ocs have different friends together so it’s not a rut of the same two characters interacting constantly.

The idea I have is of our characters being of different backgrounds and clashing heads at first, maybe dealing with themes of classism or rivalries between each other’s families that prevents them from being together, so they can fall for each other despite their differences and what others think. I like the thought of them being at a college where they have to see each other, so they have more opportunity to learn more about each other and grow past any prejudice. I also had an idea that I liked of your oc having a young child from a past relationship that they have to take care of, which my oc can help take care of them and become their step parent (though it’s only a sweet idea, not required whatsoever).
