Victory.
For even the most zealous of the Emperor's warriors, it has become a delicate thing. Those entrusted with claiming it pay a never-ending toll, for the Imperium which they serve is far from a discerning tallyman. Even following Guilliman's sweeping reforms, cracks have already begun to emerge along the foundation he had so carefully laid. And though he is a man without peer within the Imperium, capable of impossible miracles, his attention has long turned away from the galactic west - from you.
And yet he would expect nothing short of the impossible. Especially in the face of an enemy like this.
Their coming had been unseen, heralded only by tides of madness spilling from the empyrean and wreaking havoc upon the sector's Astropathic network. That stroke alone, however, had ensured that any response would be a staggered one, paving an open path for their numberless ranks to pillage, burn or consume entire worlds.
Scrambling and near-headless, the Imperium desperately turned to the only ones primed to salvage this mess: your warriors, be they Adeptus Astartes, Adepta Sororitas or anything between, it fell to you alone.
It would not be easy. In the throes of pandemonium against a tireless foe, humanity devolved to its baser self; petty politicking, last ditch efforts to escape with what they could, or abject displays of Heresy. All the while, the foe pressed deeper and deeper, exploiting every wasted second with alien - or treacherous - precision.
Victory was slipping from your grasp. Survival, and all the perfidy, distrust and desperation it entailed, was soon taking its place. And once it had, there was no longer hope of the victory both Emperor and Primarch demanded.
But your ranks were depleting. Treason had befallen those once believed loyal. And though the defense was brilliantly led, it was not enough. Most posited that your beleaguered forces might last only a few months longer.
Victory, it seemed, would have to come from elsewhere - and upon the dispatch of a single transmission into the void, something did; an emissary from a race that broke mortality when the species you sprang from had barely left the slime pools it spawned in. An alien nearly more reviled than any other:
The Necron, coming with an impossible offer for a chance at an impossible victory.

As you can guess, I'm looking to make good on this concept of sorts. It's predicated upon an uneasy alliance between elements of the Khemara Dynasty (of my making!) and your (preferably homebrewed) Space Marine Chapter, Sister of Battle Preceptory, etc!
The choice is yours! All I ask is that your allotted forces are sensible for the task at hand. And on that note, said task is up for us to develop. As you might've noticed, I purposefully kept the foe here vague. It can be anything, really; Chaos Space Marines, Orks, Tyranids and Genestealer Cults, basically anything goes...! Provided it's not also Necrons (for now,,,)
We can discuss what we'd think is best together. Also: of course, I'll gladly illuminate you as to Khemara's details once things get rolling.
That said, I'd like to be clear about my narrative aims here. My intention is to have an in-depth, nuanced, character focused story, with lots of emphasis on interpersonal dynamics, the weight of war, and how two mortal enemies (if dreadfully) manage to forge bonds.
Even if they're going to surely fight each other when all's said and done.
So to be clear, I'm not intent on a battle-sim here. We'll have lots of arcs with lots of side-characters in addition to our main cast.
Most importantly, though: I'm looking to have a grounded experience. I've read a lot of Warhammer books, rulebooks, codices, etc. Like a lot. And while I don't expect you to have done the same, I hope you have a grasp of what's reasonable and what isn't. If you're intent on having your character possess a secret alliance with Ulthwe and also be BFFs with Imotekh & Trazyn with all their legions at your beck and call, I'm not exactly keen! I am cool with stretching things, though, within reason.
So having your theoretical Chapter employ Cataphractii Terminators and Stormbirds is okay. Such relics are exceptionally rare in this era, but we can stretch things and let it rip. The same principle applies to everything else for me; if there's precedent for it, and it's not completely outrageous (like there's precedent for a Space Marine being able to slay an Avatar of Khaine solo, but that's a very silly), I say we let it float!
That's all to say: let's have fun with the setting, bending things here and there to suit our vision, but not break stuff too much. And as a woefully necessary aside for clarity's sake, as I know this is a "controversial" subject: I know some people are very against FSM, Femstodes or whatever. I don't care about any of it. So if you want them, by all means, so long as it's done well and not gratuitous in ways I shouldn't have to spell out.
For your part, I ask only you be roughly advanced literate. I won't ask you to write a literal deluge every post, but I'd prefer you at least be capable. Please be passionate, as I most certainly will be! Also, please have a strong collaborative spirit and be prepared to pull your own weight. I will not be managing everything here for you or acting as a GM. We're writing this all together. This is a collaborative effort, through and through.

I've been roleplaying for a very long time. My post frequency varies on my muse and life. Sometimes it'll be many times a day (while all being multi-paragraph!) or once every few days. Sometimes this changes as life tends to get in the way of things! Most importantly, though, I'm not one to fluff up my posts arbitrarily. Although I can do extremely long, novella-length replies for literally everything, I won't. My posts will consist only of what I think is necessary for the scene. Nothing more.
I'm someone who likes to muse a lot about the RP. I get caught up in this. I'll go on and on about future plans, speculating, story boarding, discussing character dynamics, shipping, etc. Please bear in mind that I'm not trying to railroad or anything! I just love to plan and "peer into the future", as it were, and stress-test ideas. I welcome you to do the same with my ideas. I'll also share pinterest boards, vibes and all! I ask you not only be okay with this amount of energy, but be able to ideally match it yourself in some capacity! I love to chit-chat as well, of course. I'm quite an engaged and high energy person once things get going and I really like the RP's idea (though I can be reticent at first if vibes are off).
