Is my resume saying too much? Will a hiring manager see this and take it as fluff?
Really appreciate any advice/input.
Thank you!

I saw the posts about updating the resume to remove characters due to the parsing and Al readers and it's either a Really big coincidence or it makes a difference because I got a interview interest call in less than 8 hours after updating mine.
I have been a corporate emplovee for almost 2 decades and I've always just used the same resume and added on to it after each job
I've always gotten a good amount of traffic on my resume (never had an issue gettina something) but I started to see recently that nothing was generating any calls or interview requests ( contract so I usuallv have to iob hunt regularly) - nothing in 6 months; crickets
Mine wasn't overly formatted but each line item had a dash for bullets and sub bullets for anv other detail Some of the older iobs had older formatting that was "updated" to latest format but wasn't great. It's never hindered me before, I never paid it any mind - All gone, I removed all bullets of any kind under all jobs
I applied with the updated resume and got a call (a very good one) and two others that seemed to be from iob searching my resume; roles I didn't apply to
Highly coincidental or definitely effective? Only time will tell

Hey everyone. I'm currently a senior at my university and will be graduating next semester. I have been applying to some defense positions with a previous resume but haven't had much success so far. I created this version today using the proper template and would love some feedback from everyone.
Ideally I would like to land a role in defense/aerospace as an operations engineer but would be ok to work in a different industry or different role. I would also like to re-locate to the northeast of the US if anyone has any advice for some open opportunities. Thank you all!

I’ve gotten a lot of inquiries , but nothing is landing.
Please review my resume . Offer any critiques , flags , or ways to improve it for more views. Even if there are certifications that might align , let me know . Or career paths that I should consider (I do not have my PMP cert, but skills that closely align . Not in the position financially to go for the PMP just yet)
I’ve run this through all the systems , and used all the prompts , and while it’s helped , i think it’s always good to get other opinions.
Thank you!
Hey all,
I wanna update my resume and start applying for jobs because my current company is getting me nowhere (and they’re doing shady stuff).
I’m having trouble with the page length and what to put on there. I graduated from college in December 2020. From January 2021-April 2023, I have 2 roles at solid companies. From April 2023-March 2024 though, my young and dumb self decided to take a break from corporate and do filmmaking. I started a 12-month contract job in March 2024 but got fired in August 2024 for “performance issues” (total bullshit but not gonna dive into this here). From August 2024-October 2024, I was unemployed and just doing a bunch of courses. From October 2024-July 2025, I worked as a procurement associate for my dad’s friend’s company but he laid me off because Trump’s tariffs started hurting his business. I was unemployed until Feb 2026 where I got a role as a procurement specialist at a renewable energy company. Still at this role today.
I don’t know how to format my resume with this hectic employment history. I know I don’t have to list everything on there and I can take some out to keep it to a page, but the problem is there would be a considerable gap in the timeline.
If anyone has any advice on how I should format it, I would greatly appreciate it!

Hey everyone,
I graduated in Computer Engineering this year and have been applying for entry-level SDE and ML roles.
I've worked on a mix of software development, machine learning, and research projects. I also co-founded GOCO, where we're building a programming language and IDE. One of my recent projects is a credit risk prediction system using ML, and I also have a research publication in the accessibility space.
I've attached my resume and would love some honest feedback.
Feel free to be blunt. I'd rather know what needs improvement than get generic feedback.
Thanks!

Hi all, I'm currently using KickResume to get around ATS (I'm in tech, software engineering). I want an AI tool that would be used to tailor resumes to the job listing. That said, I'm not happy with the tool. Not only is it too slow, taking around 5 minutes a resume, it also doesn't remove content, it just adds it, resulting in my resume getting pushed to 2 pages, and being full of skills irrelevant to the listing. Can anyone recommend something better?

I keep seeing license discussions online turn into this weird thing where counselors get described as the “therapy people” and social workers as the “case management people”. I don’t think most people mean it that way, but it comes off pretty condescending.
I’m an LMHC, and I’d rather explain what I actually do than compare my training to someone else’s. I work with adults dealing with anxiety and trauma in outpatient settings, do assessments and treatment plans, and coordinate with other providers. That seems like a much better description than a bunch of letters followed by “evidence-based care”.
I’ve been trying to fix how I describe my work on my resume too. I ran it through resume worded because my summary sounded so generic, then rewrote it to focus on my actual clients, responsibilities, and clinical experience. It was a lot easier to explain my background once I stopped trying to make it sound impressive.
I still struggle with how to describe my scope without accidentally implying other licenses are somehow less clinical. We all have different training and state rules, but there’s a lot of overlap in what we do.
I’m curious how other therapists handle this, especially LCSWs. I’d hate for someone to read my bio and think I’m taking a shot at their profession when that’s not what I mean at all.

I have heard Garamond 10pt is good for making everything fit onto one page. Would that like ok better than Times 6-9 pt ? I’m asking with screen reading in mind more than print.

I have a majority of my career in hospitality/hotels and am trying to branch out of on-property hotel roles and into more administrative side positions. I've applied for 100+ jobs and only had a total of two interviews that I made it to the final round but was inevitably not selected. Any recommendations on formatting, bullet points, etc.? (Information for locations and companies made generic for privacy)

Hello, I was wondering if anyone would be open to taking a look at my resume and giving me some feedback on what I can improve on. I am applying to lots of Hardware and Software internships which ask for experience in Linux, FPGAs, C++, Python, etc. but I'm having a hard time getting any call backs let alone interviews. Another question I have is if I have some light hardware projects from courses I am taking now and courses I've taken previously, should I start adding them into my resume and take out the Data Science Academy role? Thank you so much for the help in advance!

What do you think kind redditors? What can I call this gap in my resume, or what’s a sneaky lie I can make up?

I’m hoping two get a job in an clinical setting and need 2 supervisor references and one co worker. They may call and ask simple questions or send a quick email. I need asap. I can provide references as well. Thanks

I am trying to add my current work to my resume. I will put what I have so far below, but I am stumped. I work remotely for a cafeteria for about 4-6 hours a month. All I do is input items from the menu into two programs. I don't have a supervisor or team. There isn't any quantifiable thing that I improve. I just want this to look good in a couple bullet points as it is the only thing I have to fill in since my other previous job. I am pretty much just trying to get another retail job which is the majority of my other work experience.
What I have for my resume currently (ignore spacing):
School ISD Menu Planning; Remote
Planner August 2025-Current

I want to transition back into the public sector, particularly higher education. I'm unsure if my resume is conveying too much or if I need to position something differently to get more hits.
Any advice would be great! I'm in the mid-career shift, I'm burnt out, unappreciated, and under valued at my current job, and need a change for the new year.
*Edit because my grammar was terrible.

I have been reviewing quite a lot of resumes over the years as a senior engineer and the single most important advice I would give to everyone is in the title. Quality over quantity. In everything.

So i don’t have the greatest work history, i have been let go from a few places in the past like 2 years due to mental health. I desperately need a job. It’s been over a year. I feel crippled. I have been called about jobs around in my area but ehh.. i just stop responding and don’t put in the effort to do it. But anyways. I don’t know if I should put like all my jobs in the past couple years.. some are short, some are long ish. Should I not put irrelevant jobs on my resume despite the gap? I have been told on fb from random posts about wfh group that the creator don’t even put jobs on resume if it’s not relevant to the job despite the gaps. The resume is a sales pitch doc. Not your whole life resume. I don’t get it. I want a remote job. Teleperformance or something to start me out at the bottom.
