Back in May 2026, I was considering a Polar Explorer II. At the time, there was only 1 option on Andiot: The QF non-free sprung at $440 (the ARF temporarily being unavailable at that time). I didn't pull the trigger due to the fact that I had bought 10 reps in about 1 year and thought I should give it a bit of a break.

Fast forward to today, and there are 4 options. A couple of weeks back, the non-free sprung QF was still listed giving 5 options. And today, VSF announced their entry own into this already crowded space https://www.reddit.com/r/RepTime/comments/1x79dr6/vsf_rolex_explorer_ii_polar/

We now have so many options. I would probably still want a non-free sprung given that this is a closed caseback, but the field is now wide open. I am going to wait until the dust settles a bit and at least see what people think of the VSF once it has become available. Anybody else caught in this sudden confusion of choice for Explorer IIs?

I have the opportunity to get an OP tiffanyy 36mm RCF now or a VSF in a few months. Is it worth the wait. I know they are quite similar visually but the movement is much better the VSF or pretty close?

I recently bought a VSV replacement bezel for my VSF Rolex Daytona 116520 because I felt the original bezel’s engraving was one of the biggest tells compared to the genuine watch.

Looking at these close-up photos, I think the VSV bezel looks much closer to gen, particularly the font, engraving depth, and the “UNITS PER HOUR” text.

But I’d like to hear other people’s opinions, especially from those who own or have handled a genuine 116520.

What do you guys think? Does the VSV bezel look closer to the genuine bezel, or am I just seeing what I want to see?

I’m currently considering buying an ARF Datejust and was wondering if they’ve fixed the date wheel issues by now.

From what I’ve read, there used to be two main problems:

1. The date font/numbers were too bold compared to gen.
   
2. The date didn’t snap over instantly at midnight, but changed more gradually or at the wrong time.

Does anyone know what the current situation is with the latest ARF batches? Have either of these issues been fixed?

Would especially appreciate feedback from people who recently bought an ARF DJ.
