TIL before becoming the Dragons, the Reds single A affiliate played one year as the Rockford Reds, complete with an interesting lowercase 'r' logo

That's wild. Reminds me of what the Rookie League Greenville, Tennessee Reds did. For context, Davy Crockett was born nearby.

Brandon Larson maybe the best AAAA player in reds history, guy would compete for the triple crown in AAA and forget what the bat in his hands was for whenever he played in the bigs

I'm far from a professional graphic designer, but there's something just....off about that
somehow, I still like it, but almost ironically
is the r supposed to look like the ballpark, or a building somehow?

The top arch of the 'r' is the Reds wishbone 'C', just with the bottom half cut off, which is why there is a triangle shape on the left side. And then they just slapped a vertical bar to create the 'r' shape. Maybe the laziest logo I have ever seen lol.

A few! They are actually a blast imo, and if the reds aren’t giving me much of a reason to head to downtown Cincy, a dragons game is a nice substitute

Dragons games ROCK. Totally agree as a former Dayton resident. They are consistently one of the best attended minor league baseball franchises as well.

That’s really interesting. I moved to Madison last year, and I’ve had to drive through Rockford a ton to visit home. Didn’t know they had a temporary connection to the Reds

Not really. I used to try to catch 1 Reds game a year in Milwaukee, after Milwaukee moved to the NL. It was never a problem. I got slightly more grief during football season, when I wore Ohio State gear.

Jokes aside that’s cool though. I have an irrational hatred of the Brewers so I talk a lot of shit playful with my buddies I’ve made up here. So naturally they give me a lot of shit back. Otherwise people are definitely chill about Cincy. I’m bummed I missed both series in Milwaukee. I was going to go to the last series, but my wife had an event in KC.
