What's something that's completely normal but feels illegal when you do it?
r/RandomQuestion • u/LilaAnnie • 9h ago
I had a weird thought today - if you start dating someone and let's say one of you is 17 and the other is 16, then one year later does your relationship become illegal?
Cuz technically, the next year one of you will be 18 and the other 17. Which is illegal no? One is a minor and one is an adult. I mean not that I think it's problematic or anything, it's just weird to me.
Also, does that mean that, if the 17-year-old wants to ruin the 18-year-old's life, they can just say that the 18-yo has been sleeping with a minor, which is illegal? I mean that would be totally ridiculous but it seems to me like that could be a problem for the 18-yo if their partner wants to hurt them.
I know nothing about what laws regulate this stuff.

What is going on with AI slop EVERYWHERE?
IM OVER IT, I’m 30 this year💿
YouTube feels boring lately, I open Facebook stories and I scroll once twice everything is predicable or so slop so I stop and close the app.
Reddit feels like it’s turning into this boring feed and the answers lately feel so generic there’s no common human feel on half of them.
YouTube shorts are slightly good but damn they’re getting over saturated with the auto made videos with magical subtitles
My local restaurants and businesses are using AI slop to make their ads I can barely understand the advertisements because it’s a lot of crap on one poster.
Like your a kebab store using AI photos of food, it’s not even food it’s AI generated crap. Wtf are you thinking
Facebook community all use the same generic AI made advertising for lash companies etc
I know there’s a lot more to it but fk I’m getting so bored of the AI and predictability of stories I turn my phone off and play with my dogs, it feels amazing to invest time off the phone and bringing attention back to reality.
Help me figure out wtf is going on or am I just getting over it?

If you eat hotdogs, even just occasionally, do you put mustard on them?

Why do my fancy underwear keep showing up in my dirty laundry?
I (42F) have only been wearing what I’ll call “utility underwear”- the cotton, businesslike kind- for the last couple months. But the no -businesslike kind (lacy, silky) that have mostly been gathering dust in the underwear drawer have suddenly been showing up in my dirty laundry. My husband (47M) swears it’s not him touching them (he had a good laugh when I asked if he was wearing my silky panties to work secretly. He would tell me if he were). It has now been 4 times— including the last 3 consecutive weeks- that I have found a pair of black lace panties that I know I have not worn in my laundry hamper (which I keep in my closet.) I will say that they appear clean/unworn/un…soiled.
Other people in the house: my mom (70F), and my kids (13M & 11F).
I realize the 13M seems a likely suspect (eww). But he’s almost never home without me. And he’s about as sneaky as a newborn giraffe. My mom is home all day while I’m at work but … ???? Ewww. All scenarios I can imagine with other people give me the ick. Best case I can imagine is that I am sleepwalking, but given that I am tethered to a CPAP machine, I feel that’s unlikely.
What do I do? Set up a nanny cam to catch the perv?
Am I missing an obvious theory?
My husband isn’t totally convinced I’m not pranking him- or that there’s not some weird static electricity thing happening where they’re hitchhiking with other clothes- I think he’s just trying to avoid the family ick too.

What's a small thing that secretly makes you happy? 🌻
Not everything that makes us happy has to be something big.
Sometimes it's getting a message from someone you weren't expecting, listening to your favourite song at the right moment, having a good conversation, or simply sitting alone with your thoughts.
I feel like everyone has a little thing that makes their day better, even if nobody else understands why. 🥹
What's that one small thing that can instantly make you happy, no matter how your day is going? ❤️
