There are states that have abortion up till birth, but the republicans fail to mention that abortions that happen close to term are wanted pregnancies where something has gone catastrophically wrong with the development of the fetus and the parents and doctors decide that an abortion is the best course to reduce suffering of the doomed fetus and grieving parents.

Republicans would rather the mother be forced to carry the doomed pregnancy and birth the child and watch it die in front of her.

Time to clarify the difference between "on demand" and "to save the life of the mother when the fetus is unviable".

Agree, but in the context of a situation where the fetus is nonviable, but alive while in the womb, the mother’s life may not necessarily be at more risk than an average pregnancy.

If the fetus is nonviable and the removal isn't more dangerous to the woman than leaving it, there's little reason not to abort it. If "abort" is even the right word in this case.

It’s absolutely medically and legally an abortion, and one that would be outlawed in places where “only life of the mother” is allowed after a certain number of weeks. That’s why o support removing those barriers completely and let doctors and pregnant mothers be the ones who decide when an abortion is warranted, not a lawmaker who has no medical knowledge.
