I Always assume , possibly mistakenly, that the representative isn’t really that stupid. On the other hand he definitely, and strongly, believes that his Fox News watching constituency has the intellectual capacity of warm oatmeal. The really sad part is that if they believe this, he’s probably right.

The annoying thing is people can be morons in specific ways and not in others. So they can occasionally stay hidden until their BS is triggered by something.

My brother and his wife are Trump supporters and you'd never guess, until politics comes up in conversation. He'll even defend our younger brother when his wife suggests my younger brother might be "woke".

Ask him if he thinks that being aware of systemic injustices that exist in society is a bad thing.

And then tell him that Ron DeSantis's lawyers in court said that the definition of woke is being aware of systemic injustices that exist in society.

I mean if you're okay with his head exploding.

I don't think they're aware of any definition of woke. It's just an overused term that has lost its meaning in common republican use.
