Just think, he could have had a chance at the Presidency but the centrist Dems couldnât have that and he had to fight the full force of the Ds and Rs.
He couldnât get a single Senator to vote with him. What makes you think he would be an effective president let alone miraculously winning the presidency?
He wasnât the democratic nominee because he didnât win the majority of the delegates. Would he have made a better candidate, who knows? Did I want him to win the nomination, yes. But I am not going to entertain this idea that somehow it was stolen from him.
Youâre not required to entertain anything. Reality is the change that we need is to get rid of delegates, the idea that a group of people who have zero idea of what actual citizens are going through to select someone or vote on regulation on behalf of people is invalid at this point.
Need to figure out a true solution for a Democracy and let the people vote on these things themselves. Senators and representatives are just as useless.. nothing progresses because of them
Yes but I can read and look up numbers. Even in states he won in the primaries he got less delegates than Hilary in several cases. In ones he lost he didnât get proportional like she did in her losses. Tell me itâs rigged without telling me itâs rigged. Iâll even list the states for you since research is below general google searches that you perform
Won but got less votes then Hilary
Colorado
Indiana
Michigan
Montana
Wyoming
Won but got less the proportionate
Maine
Minnesota
Washington
West Virginia
Wisconsin
Lost and got less then proportionate
Alabama
California
Connecticut
DC
Georgia
Illinois
Iowa
Missouri
Nevada
New Mexico
New York
North Carolina
Pennsylvania
South Dakota
Hillary ran the DNC in 2016 and they without a doubt made sure she won. Here on I'll link the article that breaks it down because going to the second page of the google seaarch is too hard.
You mean it was rigged by her (checks notes)... winning more state primaries?
The superdelegate conspiracy theory is patent nonsense. Hillary won the primary 54.4% to 45.6% when only state delegates are included in the count, and won the popular vote by 3.86 million votes.
The argument COULD be raised that overall media coverage of both candidates, super PAC ad buys, and DNC endorsements swayed people's opinion to vote for Hillary over Bernie. That would have been a worthwhile discussion to have. But whining about "superdelegates" (who did not affect the election in any way) is idiotic.
Thats my bullshit detector going off. Did you even try to research what this poorly crafted AI nonsense slop propaganda is trying to reference?
Perhaps it was an amendment in 2022 that failed 1-99. But then he's had another more recent amendment that went 49-49. So.. he did get others to vote for things, just as he's always done. Why would you take the result of one vote and assume this is his track record?
We could have had a centrist democrat looking for incremental progress aligned with the majority of Americans but instead Bernies would rather see a Trump presidency and watch the world burn if they donât get everything they want.
Actually he was sidelined at the Democratic convention. He had more support than Hillary but the establishment loves the establishment. Beyond Trump, I blame them for where we are today.
Yea man I dunno how to explain to you (and others) that both the RNC and DNC running attacks on you hurts your election chances. The entire RNC came after him for being a commie and DNC did nothing to fight that, and even went so far as to join in in classic Dem fashion by going on the news and doing the âwell yea heâs extreme but thatâs not the partyâ gag they love to deploy. All this while running an entirely grass roots campaign, which gave him little option to fight the media blitz back.
The AES primary is almost a perfect repeat of what happened in 2016, but this time the candidate managed to overcome the odds.
Polls around that time gave him a much bigger lead over Trump than Hillary.
Anecdotally, I would have been a first time voter for Bernie but stayed home after he lost the nomination to Hillary. I'm sure I'm not alone. I've even heard some people who supported Bernie voted Trump over Hillary just because they wanted someone who wasn't part of the establishment

You and people like you are literally the problem lmao
Trump had the entire Republican and liberal and media establishment against him but he overcame. Sounds like a lot of cope. Clearly Bernie didnât have it.
I donât genuinely know how he would have fared, but the argument by dems that he is by all metrics some kind of failed politician both in office and as a presidential candidate is defensive, and utterly in bad faith. Talk about cannibalizing each other.
To pretend the DNC doesnât have power and that they canât determine through influence who your primary choices ultimately are is disingenuous. Hillary was the legacy choice who was owed the position and carried the hopes and expectations of many a lifelong dem and they werenât about to let some self described socialist step in and take the limelight with his grassroots working class ethos and rabid fanbase of âBernie brosâ (great bit of political theater there, which decidedly did NOT come from the right).
Well Bernie was outspokenly a politician for the working class, and the maga republicans manipulated fear to convince the working class that they were the working class party. There were a lot of people who voted trump who were previously Bernie fans, which seems contradictory and outwardly stupid if you ignore the fact that those were the only two candidates actually speaking to them. Meanwhile the democrats being for all intents and purposes the coastal elites theyâre accused of being just avoided the discussion entirely.
And letâs not forget Kamala didnât beat those milquetoast democrats either, but that didnât stop her from becoming the democratic nominee. And I get it, that was unique circumstances but boy do the dems have a looot of excuses for themselves.
I always vote dem by the way, and thatâll be true even if itâs Gavin fucking Newsom who is not only an actual coastal elite but looks like heâs playing the literal antichrist in a Daily Wire production. Iâm sure that wonât bother the rust belt at all.
Do you know who got the second most for a president ever? Trump in that same election. Which is all slightly undercut by the way population works since percentage-wise it actually wasnât that dramatic of a victory historically speaking, but there was also an unprecedented, once-in-a-lifetime event happening in 2020 that was being egregiously mishandled by the sitting administration. The same administration that later beat Kamala miserably by the way.
I love how you can acknowledge the fact that we dealt with and unprecendented, once in a lifetime event that the Dems took advantage of and elected the most progressive President since FDR, yet you will never acknowledge the unprecendented, once in a lifetime event of that President being forced to drop out 100 days out of election day.
I mean Biden should have dropped out sooner. That absolutely hampered her chances but it is what it is. Donât get me wrong I did vote for her. I just think the DNC looks like an exclusive club to voters and that disconnect is loud. By not running on working class issues their messaging is cheapened and theyâre too easily coaxed into debates about identity politics and hot button issues.
Thatâs the historical power of the left since the early 20th century. Losing the rust belt is a massive failure on the part of the democrats that shouldnât have happened and the consequences were dire. The insider trading and looking like a rehearsed, disaffected âcentristâ corporate entity isnât a good look for a party purportedly built on pro labor policies and equal opportunity.
Bernie is one of the most ineffective politicians possibly ever. He fails to get any bills supported. He has great ideas but he canât take steps in the right direction and instead tries leaping over norms, it has rendered him completely ineffective.
You would know, wouldn't you? First Clinton then harris; you libs are exceptional at fielding the worst possible candidate and losing to trump. Even in 2020 when you got everything you wanted it only amounted to genocide and losing to trump again.
Politics is setting policy goals and exercising persuasion and power to build consensus to enact those policies. If someone is terrible at this, they are an ineffective politician and should not be a leader or president.
Lol people find any excuse to explain away why corrupt politicians do what the richest person buying them wants rather than the people they are supposed to serve.
He asked to lower medication prices by 50% to alleviate the burden on people.
And not a single other politician gave a hoot. Thats the reality here. I bet theyâd all give themselves a pay raise tho.

Good thing we learned our lesson from that :)
