Wondering if anyone has any female fronted post hardcore band suggestions. BUT my reason is because I really really like music being raw. Anyway I’ve been searching through the underground bands in fans also like and there seem to be none fronted by women so if anybody knows any that’d be great. They don’t exactly have to be niche too just if they’ve got a raw sound that’d be cool.

Unique band! Love it!

I'm not someone super genre focused, but I've been told my music taste mostly falls into these labels and was looking for some bands to check out!

Some of what I already listen to is: Static Dress (my favs), I Promised The World, Bloom, Movements, Ends in Tragedy, FOXCULT (with the og singer, haven't been able to to click with their new sound), Love Rarely, Rosasharin, SeeYouSpaceCowboy, Alexisonfire, The Bled, A Static Lullaby, Saosin, Underoath, Chiodos, DRUGS, Silverstein, and Thrice

I’ve been trying to find live recorded performances of The Used, “Poetic Tragedy” and “Noises and Kisses”. My working theory is that they avoided playing these songs due to the high note portions.

I’ve been looking through old 02-03 performances, but the videos i’ve scoured haven’t had either of these songs. There seems to be a lot of modern performances, but they are after Bert stopped screaming. I’ll update this post if I happen to come across anything.

Hi everyone! I am working on a project to make a psudo complete version of chroma dreamcoat (of machines second album) so far i found videos of people singing for the two instrumental demos, but nobody has done vocals for this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aona4h8gqCk

I have a friend who will add a bass part to the song.

(also if anyone wants to take a swing at the instrumental demos please send to me and if better than existing ones it will replace the ones i am using now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PO_Z_AG_DdQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7lAwInY1cw&pp=ygUWb2YgbWFjaGluZXMgbWlrZSBibGlzcw%3D%3D

Please consider helping us with this project, so we can get the Chroma Dreamcoat we were promised!!!

(even after the project is finished if you have a recording afterwards and it is better than the one in project it will be used instead for v2)

as an intro we are using the since taken down chroma dreamcoat promotional video found by a friend of mine!

Thanks everyone!

We're a Metalcore Band from New Zealand and we've just released our comeback EP 'Mirror ≠ Self'

If you're a fan of nostalgic metalcore with modern (but not too crispy) production then you may like this.

If you’re under 30 I don’t care about your opinion but does anyone know any other local scene bands like Terminal from like 2003-2007? I’ve been listening to a lot of artists from the Texas scene also like makeshifte(literally one of my favorite bands ever who has NO media presence , as well as Morningside Drive (LOVVEEE) they don’t have to be specifically Texas lmk 😋

Hey y’all, random question that came to mind while I was listening to Vanity’s Fair. What do y’all think of the lat line: “I can’t tell if I’m undeservedly given to, or if I’m undeservedly giving what’s mine”? I guess within the context of the song it doesn’t really parse for me?

Does anyone have the album 'split with beauty to ashes' by Luke Pickett? Most of the songs on this album are lost and i really want to hear them. No one is selling their album online? please!

Howdy, so what is this genre? I’ve been a fan of bands like Fugazi, Nomeansno, and drive like Jehu for a while and always thought that was what posthardcore was. Like, experimental and often noisy hardcore punk. I also see bands like pierce the veil, hail the sun, and black veil brides listed as post hardcore. These seem to be very dissimilar bands to me. The first three have much looser song structures are are equally vocal-to-instrument focused. The later 3 are tightly knit and kind of poppy in terms of song structure with prominent vocals and a huge emphasis on the chorus.

I understand that there is a gap between when these bands were formed, but there seems to be almost no stylistic or aesthetic throughline.

Am I off base and are these completely different genres? And where do mathy screamo bands like kidcrash, off minor, and portraits of past fit in? I’ve also seen these called posthardcore.

I’m big into death metal, which has an overabundence of subgenres, so if you guys don’t really do that here I understand if this post is frustrating. Thank you.

I wanna learn this song so bad but I’m loosing my mind trying to find sheet music for it. At this point I don’t think it exists but if anyone could just point me in the right direction it would be a godsend 🙏🙏🙏

For fans of Norma Jean, Every Time I Die, Underoath, and Static Dress.

hi i am a vocalist with 13 years of experience looking to start a project inspired by Casey, Aburden, Departures and Hindsight

if ur intrested pls shoot me a dm and will tell you more about it :)

This is my band, Hanzai Street. I’d like to know if it fits into the post-hardcore genre, as I’ve been told that my songs are quite a mix in terms of genre.

Let’s talk about it! :b
